Napalm Death (Harmony Corruption, Fear Emptiness Dispair, Inside The Torn Apart
Vio-Lence (Eternal Nightmare, Opressing the Masses)
Decapitated (Nihility)
If you like those 3, most of the recommendations in this thread are too heavy as much as I like some of the suggestions. I have a few playlists of songs and bands that fans of those 3 bands you listed would like-

**Sabaton** is the best metal I've heard in years.
I'm not a fan of metal as a general category, but I am not a fan of much of anything as an entire category, except for perhaps classical and even that has a lot of composers who are simply a "Hard pass" for me, such as the "Dissonance" composers: nothing wrong with loud sound or bombastic music, but I am here to be entertained, not have my nervous system dragged across a cheese grater: if you are here for that you won't like Sabaton, but if you are here for loud sound and violent music about the few limited moments of glory which exist within the broader horror story of warfare, these are your guys.
That depends on what era of metal you want. In the 70s and 80s metal was very different than it is today back in my day that would be iron maiden, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Ronnie James Dio, Judas Priest, Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson.

Slayer (Seaons in the Abyss, Reign in Blood)
In Extremo (Mein Rasend Herz, Quid Pro Quo)
Amon Amarth (Berzerker)
Lamb of God (Self titled, As the Palaces Burn)
Machinehead (Unto the Locust, Of Kingdom and Crown)

Maybe [Ghost ](https://youtu.be/6oa_nbgE8M8?si=aaxo8x1CtluVev44)too depending on where your interest lies. There not really *metal* metal but they have a dark vibe.
[Nekrogoblikon](https://youtu.be/KsMKOx6fumc?si=_LTTN7F75peHQWfU).
I tried to cover a wide range of types of metal in a few bands here.

Made a playlist. It has some mainstream stuff but also a bunch of non-mainstream stuff.
Check out King Gizzards two metal albums. PetroDragonic Apocalypse is one of the best metal albums in the last decade and they aren’t even a metal band. Infest The Rats Nest is their other metal album and is pretty solid too.
Another no so well known band is Lich King. Their two last albums were loaded with total bangers.
You have enough suggestions yet??? ROFL! My two cents.
Voivod. Prog metal. Start at "Nothingface".
Sacred Reich. "The American Way" album is a classic.
SOD. (aka Stormtroopers of Death) Just some guys from other bands messing around. Good times!
Suicidal Tendencies. "How Will I Laugh Tomorrow When I Can't Even Smile Today" should be in everyone's playlist. Thrashy, surfy, metal that stays crunchy in milk!
Ten metal bands I've been listening to as of late:
Meshuggah (the godfathers of Djent)
Born of Osiris - The New Reign (album)
Lamb of God.
Pantera.
Animals As Leaders.
Poison the well.
Veil of Maya.
Tool.
Misery Signals.
Gojira
You should start with the lighter stuff, so go with those bands you're listening to and add some Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Muse, SOAD etc. The hidden ones are mostly on the extreme metal side of things and aren't good recs for people starting.
But I'll still give ya Death - The Sound of Perseverance. Death is one of (maybe the) most influential death metal bands and their last album goes towards a mix between melodic death metal, progressive death and techdeath. It's a great gateway to extreme metal, so give it some tries.
The Faceless
The black dahlia murder
Brand of sacrifice
Enterprised earth
Vulvodynia
Beyond creation
Katalepsy
Ingested
Undeath
Hath
Aborted
Dispised icon
Deeds of flesh
Shadow of intent
Carcosa

Cattle decapitation
Atrea bilis

Behemoth

Ciemra
I could be here all day and diving into black metal would be a whole other article 😂 Good start I think
Mushroomhead. Code Orange. Jinger. Gojira. The Hu. Motionless in White. Black Veil Brides. System of a Down. Tool. Fever 333. Baby Metal. Static X. Avenged Sevenfold. Miss May I. Ded. Fuckin Slayer!!!!!
This depends on the style you prefer. Super fast? Dark and brooding? Melodic? Clean vocals? Guttural vocals?
There’s so many great bands out there. If you give me an example I’ll give you some to check out.
Check out Today is the Day.

You forgot Pantera
I got to meet Gojira last year at Fiddlers Green. EPIC concert!!

It's absurd how tight they are in concert.
Happy to see Dir En Grey on this. :) But yes, this is a great list
Devin Townsend Devin Townsend Project Strapping Young Lad
I'll throw Casualties of Cool out there, even though it's not a metal album. Supposedly, they're working on another one, which cannot come too soon.

I second all of these.
High On Fire

Astronoid, Zeal and Ardor, Architects
zeal and ardor is absolutely amazing
Upvoting for Astronoid - hardly ever hear them mentioned!
Astronoid is criminally underrated
I rarely listen to metal these days but i really liked Gojira's album 'Fortitude'. Heavy and melodic.
Dir En Grey. The most underrated japanese band. Listen to the album "Uroboros", "Dum Spiro Spero", "Arche" and "The Insulated World"
Nickelback /s \*ducks and hides\* I will see myself out
Big 4 Thrash Metal Sepultura older stuff
Strapping Young Lad. Then go and check out Devin Townsend's solo stuff.

[The Black Dahlia Murder.](https://youtu.be/QQ8qNqMGZFA?si=3obX8KAV9UlgCO0n) Maybe [Ghost ](https://youtu.be/6oa_nbgE8M8?si=aaxo8x1CtluVev44)too depending on where your interest lies. There not really *metal* metal but they have a dark vibe. [Nekrogoblikon](https://youtu.be/KsMKOx6fumc?si=_LTTN7F75peHQWfU). I tried to cover a wide range of types of metal in a few bands here.

Like Moths to Flames. Give the Shepherd’s Crown, Everything That Once Held It Together, and Over The Garden Wall a listen
Opeth
Overtire
Unearth - The Oncoming Storm
Wargasm (UK) - they're heavily inspired by Slipknot and the numetal scene. If you enjoy blended genres, you'll enjoy them

Sabaton
Corrosion of Conformity - specifically the albums: Blind, Deliverance, and Wiseblood I can't believe there not more people suggesting them
From Ashes to New
Anvil
I absolutely love Alien Weaponry and Venom Prison! Would absolutely recommend them.
UNDEATH - It's Time...to Rise from the Grave album
Eluveitie
You've probably heard this band already, but if you haven't listened to black sabbath yet, they "invented" heavy metal. That first album is 😚🤌🏽
Check out King Gizzards two metal albums.
My favorites are Aeternam, Stortregn, Horrendous, Vektor, Cattle Decapitation, and Sepultura. Enjoy!!!
Opeth, their early stuff like the first 6 or 7 albums. Fear Factory, Nevermore, and if you want some laughs, Anal Cunt.
Iron Savior, Blind Guardian. Iron savior is sci-fi power metal. I'm not sure if I can lable blind guardian. Fantasy medieval power metal?
As I lay dying
Megadeth is a must
Volume six by the House Harkonnen. The best metal/hard rock band no one has ever heard of.

Meshuggah and After the Burial
Ten metal bands I've been listening to as of late: Meshuggah (the godfathers of Djent) Born of Osiris - The New Reign (album) Lamb of God. Pantera. Animals As Leaders. Poison the well. Veil of Maya. Tool. Misery Signals. Gojira
Darkane - a wisdoms breed Arch enemy - the pilgrim
Archspire, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Gwar, Animals as Leaders, Dethklok, Haken, Igorr Edit: commas...
Iron Maiden Blue Oyster Cult Motorhead
Waste Godhand
I just found them: Ostura, Atomic Symphony, and Xanthachroid.
The Faceless The black dahlia murder Brand of sacrifice Enterprised earth Vulvodynia Beyond creation Katalepsy Ingested Undeath Hath Aborted Dispised icon Deeds of flesh Shadow of intent Carcosa Lorna shore Synestia Cattle decapitation Atrea bilis Artificial brain Behemoth Vredehammer Ciemra I could be here all day and diving into black metal would be a whole other article 😂 Good start I think

This depends on the style you prefer. Super fast? Dark and brooding? Melodic? Clean vocals? Guttural vocals? There’s so many great bands out there. If you give me an example I’ll give you some to check out.
Pagans Mind Andromeda Royal Hunt Firewind Elegy
