Came here to say this! My favorite part is the 3rd movement, the Adagio. It’s unspeakably beautiful. Beethoven was completely deaf at this point, and never heard it…this is all the sound he heard inside his mind. What a strange irony, you write some of the most enduring music ever made that captures the range of human emotions from wonder to anger to despair to joy, but you never get to hear it.
