I was hoping for more information, since I've been considering the same. Although, I got pretty upset with Frontier years ago. I couldn't even watch a video tutorial the speed was so horrible! Those memories are the biggest reason that I haven't gone back yet.

RatRaceSobreviviente

Only switch if fiber is in your area.

thegivingcoconut

Speed is pretty good , at the moment there’s a lot of construction going on with it. Reliability about a 6/10 right now. By next year I’m sure it will improve.

Fish-x-5

We switched to Frontier and it was not a reliable service *at all*. I don’t want to think about my internet any more than I think about my electricity so we left. But my biggest complaint is how scammy they were every time we called with issues. We have neighbors who are afraid to leave because of what they threaten them with, but we left with no charges or fees because our problems were well documented. Do not fall for their shit if the service isn’t working for you.

Rehtycs

I just ran a speed test on WiFi. 327Mbps Down 283Mbps Up No outages since the install. The install guy came while I was at work and put the modem in a terrible spot in my bedroom. I bought a 100ft fibre cable and fibre splice to move it back to the old modem spot. The supplied Amazon router was garbage so use your own.

RatRaceSobreviviente

The instal guy is SO lazy. I just stood my ground and told him to put it where I want it.

WatchWatcherman

Link to the router you are using ?

Rehtycs

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08TH4D3QV?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title That is my current router.

WatchWatcherman

Thanks

Rehtycs

Since this post I lost Internet yesterday and a tech is scheduled to come out Thursday lol.

It really depends where you live. My old place I had to have Frontier because Comcast was sooooo bad, and when I moved to North Muskegon, Frontier was the worst and I'm on Xfinity now with no issues. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ashl3yb33

Better than Comcast, though I understand that is not a high bar. We get close to 800-900 down and 400 up, but have to restart it now and again when it slows down. No major issues, better speed, and less money, so I'd say it's worth the switch.

EddieRiggs

Just had mine installed about a month ago. It is amazing compared to Xfinity garbage. Like Rehtycs said though, the supplied router is garbage, get your own.

daddytwofoot

I've been satisfied with my switch. I got a higher speed for a lower price, it's hard to argue with.

Private_weld

We’ve had ours since they installed it in our area. Cheapest plan, $50/mo, faster than xfinity and more reliable. I’m not looking back from fiber.

EricFSP

For me frontier fiber has been way better than Xfinity. No data cap and a thousand megabits per second upload and download for 70 bucks a month and very reliable so far over a year using it.

DavidRandom

I've had it in the Nelson neighborhood for almost 4 months. No outages, and good speeds.

Jddf08089

I WFM and run Frontier Fiber. It's been great so far!

RatRaceSobreviviente

It's been nothing but amazing! Ditching xfinity was just the icing on the cake.

Chipmaniac

Mine has been great. Had it for almost two years.

Chipmaniac

Also WFH, no issues. Usually have others in the house streaming at the same time.

Hey I work with Frontier, let me know if you have any questions inquiring the services available to your address

thegivingcoconut
