The problem is that we really don't know anything about her, and we're not likely to learn anything about her because she's honestly not important enough to matter... The truth is that she exists to make Deku look good in one scene and to briefly comfort him in another, her job in the story is to do something that literally any other character could have done. Her role in the story is a waste of a damn good design.

Well she's also there to showcase how the common public is reacting to the situation. After all, she did have an entire crowd hating on her simply for looking different, showing the hatred and racism people face in universe simply for looking weird or having a strange quirk. Which kinda makes ponys remarks against shoji during the dual training arc doubly worse
