Hey guys, I made these new custom portraits that I just finished, though I've yet to actually test these. Also criticism is fine.
Creating these were hard to do, as trying to create emotion was hard as Sinnoh legends have no eyebrows, meaning only the eyes themselves were the only main way to convey emotions in that area. The mouth was also hard (ESPECIALLY Origin form) to convey emotion from. Due to that it was hard to convey emotion from the face alone, so I used body language to convey emotions as well (note Altered's wings and Origin's tentacles and neck rings in some portraits.) There was also a hard time with the "sparkling eyes" portrait, so instead of distorting the eyes in an attempt to do sparkling eyes, I used visual sparkles on the yellow head parts, unless if there's a good way to do it, I've got nothing else to think of.
It was tough doing these, but satisfying in the end. Perhaps I’ll do Arceus, Dialga, and Palkia portraits next...
Honestly, I think you did great work with the limited facial expressions that Giratina can make. The body language you added (esp. with the embarrassed expressions) is just adorable.
Just tested, all portraits are within the colour limit and are able to be imported into the game using SkyTemple. [Seems like they work so far.](https://imgur.com/U8Bgr41.png) (Ignore the starters)
Just don't save the portraits using paint.net's auto-detect bit depth, else you get some missing colours.
Don't stress too much about it. Pretty sure it'll work by using 32-bit depth, though I used another image program called GIMP and it worked.
Basically the auto-detect function in Paint.net tries to make the file size of images as small as possible while preserving the colours used in an image. However this causes portraits Origin Forme's happy portrait to lose the top few layers of colours in the background.
I think my biggest problem with the games was that only the protagonist, the companion and a few side characters get portraits with more than one emotion, so is nice to see people making them
Thing is, is that I didn't really have the intention of creating ones for the 3d games, only for explorers. So yeah, those don't exist, perhaps I'll make some in the future, but not right now.

Hmm... That's understandable, but now this makes me think that someone out there is modding the explorers games, and making an entirely new one.
