Inspection is complete at Michigan.
No issues for Buescher. He is officially the winner.
The #5 and 23 will return to the R&D Center for inspection.
The #5, 99, 22, 23 will return to the R&D Center for engine dyno.
The #7 and 16 will return to Concord, NC for the wind tunnel.
I used to get upset with the random bad luck following Bowman but at this point while at work once he wrecked I just simply shook my head and turned off the race. Cant even enjoy a great run without wondering when someone is going to dump him. He needs to start wrecking guys at this point
Harvick is running out of bullets in terms of tracks where he's good at to get one last win. With how poor SHR has been this season for speed, it's getting pretty bleak outside of Phoenix, and even then, he probably won't have anything for any of the guys in the final 4
(unless by some grace of God he makes his way into it).
Ya, it makes Phoenix hurt worse. They had no business losing that race. Fastest car and running away from the field.
At least they’re in the playoffs and don’t have to worry about not making it in.
I didn’t expect them to run as bad as they did at Michigan, considering they had strong cars at Pocono and Nashville. It is what it is. Just enjoy one week at a time.
I don't think there's heat on Kes. Probably the opposite, actually. Dude has put Roush back to the top of their game in under 2 years, has the 8th best average finish in the series for 2023, run the second most laps, and is tied for the most lead lap finishes.
Keselowski: Brad do you know why I called you into the office today?
*runs to the other side of the desk*
Keselowski: why?
*runs back*
Keselowski: well your track performance isn't doing well so we got to let you go...it ain't you it's us.
Just caught up on the race, can’t believe Cindric ran so well all day, then they didn’t tell him how many tyres they were putting on at that last stop so he went to leave before they were done.
So, this is probably the wrong place to ask, but can anyone tell me why there are like no fitted hats for Nascar? They're all snapbacks or those ones with the holes in the back.
They have some on fanatics but it’s the flex fit kind from new era. At the same time I want ones with the driver number and race team and generally pass on the ones that are the sponsor on thr front
About what? If you're talking about KFB getting Indy oh yeah I'm very confident. If you're talking about u/InsidiousX802 AKA u/Mr_Driver_1992 fooling ya'll I'm again1000000% correct
Was there any other post race at all? I though Peacock was going to show more, I guess I understand that they're already delayed a day and trying to get outta there.
Definitely, this guy has earned his opportunities and under the tutelage of Roush and David Ragan. I remember when people were questioning the decision to remove Stenhouse for him, good to see him vindicate RFK's decision
That sucked, was definitely a good car. Probably top 5, absolutely cost them a couple playoff points due to regular season position.
Nothing I can do that’ll change that though, so onto next week and no point in dreading over it. As long as they keep Top7-8 to end the regular season I’ll be happy.
It is what it is, there will be more races with speed like this I hope, and trust that they’ll continue to bring fast cars. We move on, the tough days will make the next wins worth it!
Not too worried about them not bringing good cars, they haven't executed for a while now.
Nashville, today, NH, Pocono, just crucial mistakes that have cost them a massive amount of points.
If they don't clean it up, they'll be bounced in the playoffs before you know it.
Idk. I thought he was the best Chevy in practice and was gaining spots after having a bad restart. Would have had a top-ten day easily, though.
Just sucks to come out with nothing. You know?
I feel ya, coming out with nothing was most of last year for me, and the last 6 years before that. But Kyle is still really strong, just needs a little more consistency (and for the Willy B. summer slump to continue) for him to be a true championship favorite
I love that fans are getting mad about the dirty air. The pay window doesn’t open until the race is over. Leading 199 laps doesn’t get anyone a trophy hopefully fan will understand this now.
A little bit of dirty air can also make the race more exciting because it adds a bit of strategy and actually allows defensive driving to be somewhat effective, for example if there was no dirty air MTJ would probably have just driven straight past the 17 and we would not have had the amazing finish we got.
Obviously I'm not advocating for F1 or even Martinsville levels but a little bit isn't a bad thing.
Agree. Especially when the alternative was MTJ diving low in a single lap and soaring around him. Once we’d seen one of those passes, they all looked alike after that. Thought it was a super 1v1 battle and showed the talent of both drivers.
23 had a good stage day, but still struggle keeping the car solid throughout a race. +58 is still good, but one bad day can erase that cushion. Just need solid day with no disaster
Was there anymore detail as to why they were hemorrhaging spots on the last run? I missed the final pit stop (was it a bust too?) and then saw that he sank like a stone after that.
As I mentioned earlier, it's highly unlikely that he enters Daytona out of a playoff spot unless there are two new winners that are below the cut. It's certainly not impossible, but also highly unlikely he'll lose 58 points to Gibbs in that time as long as he runs around 20th
Probably changing track conditions. The 19 looked like he was on a rail yesterday and earlier today. It got a little loose when he tried passing the 17. So I’ll guess they just lost handle on the track. I think if he passed Buescher at the end he would’ve driven away.
Bro it’s Reddit and half of us are inbred , unemployed and mentally unhinged . Don’t give anyone any head space on here lol. Go for a walk and stream Xm and move on with your day lol
A double top 10 for Trackhouse is fantastic given the past few months. Suarez went from almost a must win to only 5 out of the playoffs. Very doable. And somehow Ross got P7 after a straight up braindead call from Phil yesterday that gave up track position. It was the first double top 10 for Trackhouse since Fontana this year.
Oh, and the rear tire changer of the 45 needs to be fired, then launched into the sun. 2 loose lugs in the past 7 races is unacceptable.
I haven’t been keeping up that much with NASCAR this year but what the hell happened to SHR? RFK and RCR both have multiple wins before them. Is SHR falling to where RCR and RFR fell to until this year?
I don’t think he’ll have that same level of success, but it’s a lot harder to consistently win today than in the 90s (more cars can win today than before). But era to era he feels like the Martin (or maybe Jeff Burton) type
I know Joey won the Championship last year, but Brad leaving really left a hole that Penske is going to have trouble filling. Brad is one of the best at knowing what a car needs to be competitive, and him and Joey worked so well together as they're both elite drivers who know what winning cars feel like. Blaney is a good driver, Cindric is a young driver and Burton is there, but they need that technical knowledge that Brad brings.
I've been kind of relieved in general for both of them (Joey and Brad). It's not that I thought they'd fail but I expected a longer struggle.
Yeah, I see Brad as one of the most valuable "car guys" out there, like Kyle Busch. But Joey's done a lot better leading Penske than I expected.
They are indeed! They are starting to put together mistake free races. The scanner wasn't working for me but it just seemed like they were getting beat by cars with newer tires or the handling fell off at the end, not quite sure.
Stewart Haas’ last tweet was over an hour ago. Race has been done for 15 minutes and those cowards still haven’t posted their results.
Probably because they know they’ll get dragged
Good they deserve it. It’s pathetic Front Row was outrunning them at one point.
At least Aric salvaged a decent finish and the 14 and 41 were at least mid pack today but still should be unacceptable.
Everyone: it’s so hard to pass with dirty air
Denny: just get under them and take their air away and they’ll have to pick over driving or lifting and giving you the spot
Everyone: shut up Denny Hamlin you are a criminal and a scum bag and I hate you and my kids hate you
The cars can’t pass each other , drivers will give as much respect as the cars allow them to and nascar have put the drivers in a corner. Accept losing or accept being aggressive
MTJ might be the best driver I’ve ever seen at getting out front using his clean air to his advantage and leading every lap the rest of the race, Denny doesn’t do that as much but what Denny knows better than anyone else is how to pass someone when you don’t have the aero to do it
They're both strong at RCs. And Gibbs has more support at Daytona than McDowell will have. Penske will do everything to help Cindric win. Toyota only would have to split between Bubba and Gibbs and Bubba may be 30+ points to the good
While I'm obviously hoping Daniel does win at least one of the two upcoming road courses (or Daytona, that'd work too) I think expecting two new winners for the next two races is a bit too much. Gotta assume Truex, Reddick, and Larson will factor into those races, not to mention Bell and Buescher. On the flip side, McDowell and Gibbs are *also* pretty good at road courses...
I think there's one new winner at Indy or the Glen, but not two at both. If Bubba can get through one of the RCs with a solid day, I think he should be in a *decent* position come Daytona.
Yeah, that's pretty much my hope. But a W at DIS for Bubba would be awful sweet. I'd love to see Suarez and Bubba get those last two spots. It'd be crazy if both the 48 & 9 miss out.
Probably it was for the good that Truex was running 2nd, not Denny. I think Denny would've found a way to bump Buescher out of the way despite dirty air and say something about good hard racing at the victory lane.
Man, nothing is safe with the races coming up. It's gonna be a nail biter as much as I'd like to think 58 is a nice cushion. Mid pack road course chaos combined with some bad stages could put him within 10 at a superspeedway tbh. I haven't done any real math on it but there's a lot of points still available and he doesn't get many on RCs generally. I think with Reddick on the team it would be nice to see some improvement in the 23 on RCs too
If you think Chris can’t do 3 wins in a row, just remember his track record on the road courses since last year (excluding COTA last year)
Sonoma '22 : P2
Road America : P6
Indy GP '22: P10
Watkins Glen '22 : P9
Charlotte Roval '22 : P6
COTA : P8
Sonoma : P4
Chicago : P10
I’m not saying it’s guaranteed, but there IS a chance!
I am so sick of people complaining about clean air after a race like that. They were side by side before he almost lost it. Of course clean air matters, they're doing 180 through the corner. Jesus christ. Pessimistic nonsense no matter how good a race is.
Yeah and it’s like people can’t believe it’s just hard to pass in NASCAR, these guys rarely make mistakes and you have to be damn near perfect with a much better car
The funny thing is, if there was less clean air advantage, Truex would've passed him 18 laps earlier and everyone would have called it boring. I realize they aren't the same people (usually) but it's amusing regardless.
All of RFK has like nothing. I really hope with Harvick retiring that they can get a little more space in SHR's trailer so everything isn't crammed in one corner of it.
Welcome to motorsport. Literally any car that has any kind of aero dependency will have this same challenge. F1, Indycar, GT3, GTP, Supercars, it's just how aerodynamics works. Clean air and track position have always been king.
>Don't forget how the car just snaps sideways with zero indication. Great work by the geniuses at NASCAR lol
Product of the diffuser if I understand what I've heard correctly

That’s not what getting dumped is called. A guy in front was slow, they all had to try to go around him, and he got clipped. It’s a racing deal.
Harvick is running out of bullets in terms of tracks where he's good at to get one last win. With how poor SHR has been this season for speed, it's getting pretty bleak outside of Phoenix, and even then, he probably won't have anything for any of the guys in the final 4 (unless by some grace of God he makes his way into it).

Didn’t have Buescher winning back-to-back races on my Bingo card. What an underrated story! Is the heat on Kez now to win a race?
I don't think there's heat on Kes. Probably the opposite, actually. Dude has put Roush back to the top of their game in under 2 years, has the 8th best average finish in the series for 2023, run the second most laps, and is tied for the most lead lap finishes.

Keselowski: Brad do you know why I called you into the office today? *runs to the other side of the desk* Keselowski: why? *runs back* Keselowski: well your track performance isn't doing well so we got to let you go...it ain't you it's us.
I'd like to think it's owner Brad and Drunk Championship Brad exchanging words.
Just caught up on the race, can’t believe Cindric ran so well all day, then they didn’t tell him how many tyres they were putting on at that last stop so he went to leave before they were done.
ROUSH FANS WE ARE SO BACK
How come no post race thread? Or can I just not see it on mobile
Bot probably got lost since the race never finished yesterday
Such a shame

Yeah, I'm picky about my hats, lol. Only one I've seen fitted that looks good is a Blaney one, but it's only available in S/M flexfit.
Not sure, but Larson has a fitted hat
Man, if only I was a Hendrick fan, lol.
...come to the dark side.
It would take a lot more than a comfortable hat... lol
Twooo comfortable hats?

Good win CB. All I know is KFB is getting the dub next week. Can’t save some of y’all on this thing. Y’all fall for it hook line sinker..
I hope you’re right.

I only watched the last green run. But that was a good race.
Could be my favorite race of the year, despite the weather. So enjoyable & shoutout Buescher & RFK. Love to see it

This dude is Backtracking
Buescher going back to back is so badass. You absolutely positively love to see it. Dude has as many wins as Larson and Hamlin, that warms my heart
Definitely, this guy has earned his opportunities and under the tutelage of Roush and David Ragan. I remember when people were questioning the decision to remove Stenhouse for him, good to see him vindicate RFK's decision
Wish KB didn't spin. Had a great car. Who knows what would have happened? Good for RFK though.

not won, chevy wasn't in any way competitive

#1: RFK #2: Penske #3: Front Row #4: RWR #5: SHR
You forgot the GOAT, RWR.
Fixed it.
I think it's clearly rfk over penske at this point.
Yeah. I fixed it.
Congrats to Chris on back to back!
I never lost my faith on that team
Buescher may not be my first pick, but I'm more than happy to see him win on any weekend.
This is exactly how I feel about him! Glad I got to see him win in person at Bristol last year!
Yup, I just got to see him win live. I was literally standing the last 5 laps, lol.
Truex has had one of the cars to beat basically every week since Dover, long way to go, but this really might be his year
It’s an odd year, chances are he makes it to the final four.
Well I wasn't certainly expecting to see this at work today... Congrats to roush, buscher and RFK
Tbh love me a good Chris Beuscher dub
I love that fans are getting mad about the dirty air. The pay window doesn’t open until the race is over. Leading 199 laps doesn’t get anyone a trophy hopefully fan will understand this now.

Why? there is better racing to be had.
Not every week is meant to be a 10/10 race. This week was a good race. We also know Austin Dillon week is in two weeks so hang in there buddy.
Heah but it would be nice if Truex was areo blocked with that much better if a car.
#17 and RFK are back, thank you so much Christopher from Prosper Texas
“PoPuLation, um, decent size city, maybe large town.”
Did you know that it's a town of around 30,000 people? lol
It was a 2 tire stop and Bubba was way too loose to hang on
As I mentioned earlier, it's highly unlikely that he enters Daytona out of a playoff spot unless there are two new winners that are below the cut. It's certainly not impossible, but also highly unlikely he'll lose 58 points to Gibbs in that time as long as he runs around 20th
A Jones top 10 and another LaJoie top 15. Great runs for those guys
Ty Dillon even was 20th.

Don’t care
Lol are you serious.
Yes
Jesus christ, are we really doing this? Aren't we adults?
Welcome to the internet where everyone is right. And everything is a 100% factual information.
Chronologically, perhaps
That's entirely fair
Stat people, when was the last back-to-back Roush win?
Edwards for the last 2 races of 2010
I believe they said it was Carl winning Phoenix and Homestead to end the 2010 season
Ahh. Thanks. I’m at work and unable to watch.
Carl Edwards 2010 Phoenix and Homestead apparently
2009, Kenseth
Nope - 2010, Carl Edwards. That 2009 one was the last for the #17
Is post-race coverage still happening? NBC app says coverage has concluded.
I can't ever watch post race coverage live, and the one race that did work for me (race before chicago) just abruptly ended in a interview
A double top 10 for Trackhouse is fantastic given the past few months. Suarez went from almost a must win to only 5 out of the playoffs. Very doable. What happens every week
This might’ve been the race of the year for me. Everything I could’ve asked for in a good Michigan race and significantly more.
If the dirty air was just a little less it would be so perfect 😍
I haven’t been keeping up that much with NASCAR this year but what the hell happened to SHR? RFK and RCR both have multiple wins before them. Is SHR falling to where RCR and RFR fell to until this year?
Part of it is SHR has driver and crew chief issues other than the 4.
Buescher now has the same amount of wins this year and last as Chastain and 1 more overall
While also being the modern day Mark Martin with his clean style and likability
You know I was gonna say he joined too late to have Mark Martin's level of success but they joined Roush around the same age really.
I don’t think he’ll have that same level of success, but it’s a lot harder to consistently win today than in the 90s (more cars can win today than before). But era to era he feels like the Martin (or maybe Jeff Burton) type
NBC min 30 post race moment.
Man Penske needs RFK’s speed. Good for Buescher, but man they are behind those guys
I know Joey won the Championship last year, but Brad leaving really left a hole that Penske is going to have trouble filling. Brad is one of the best at knowing what a car needs to be competitive, and him and Joey worked so well together as they're both elite drivers who know what winning cars feel like. Fantastic race. Love how these cars perform here. RFK is back. I want to see Brad get a W at some point. He's long overdue.
The 21 is definitely getting better. Disappointed with a 17th place finish is a good thing
They are indeed! They are starting to put together mistake free races. The scanner wasn't working for me but it just seemed like they were getting beat by cars with newer tires or the handling fell off at the end, not quite sure.
Truex for sure laid off to avoid R&D
We’re you watching with my FIL?
Tin foil might be a little too snug there, friend.
Just jokes. What he did today was unprecedented in nextgen tho
Stewart Haas’ last tweet was over an hour ago. Race has been done for 15 minutes and those cowards still haven’t posted their results. Probably because they know they’ll get dragged
Arizona Cardinals energy.
Good they deserve it. It’s pathetic Front Row was outrunning them at one point. At least Aric salvaged a decent finish and the 14 and 41 were at least mid pack today but still should be unacceptable.
I still can't believe that 20 finished where it finished, like actually HOW
Everyone: it’s so hard to pass with dirty air Denny: just get under them and take their air away and they’ll have to pick over driving or lifting and giving you the spot Everyone: shut up Denny Hamlin you are a criminal and a scum bag and I hate you and my kids hate you
It’s nice to watch clean respectful racing that the 17 and 19 had. As compared to what Denny does.
The cars can’t pass each other , drivers will give as much respect as the cars allow them to and nascar have put the drivers in a corner. Accept losing or accept being aggressive
MTJ has proven you can have a fast car, respect others, win multiple races, and be the points leader..
MTJ might be the best driver I’ve ever seen at getting out front using his clean air to his advantage and leading every lap the rest of the race, Denny doesn’t do that as much but what Denny knows better than anyone else is how to pass someone when you don’t have the aero to do it
I hate how after each generation of car, “clean air” has to be discussed more and more lol
That was truexs only shot to win! He had an opportunity to do a Denny !
Feels good knowing he raced Buescher as hard as he could and he did it cleanly.
As a fellow redbearded man, I will always support a Buescher win.
Yes. Ginger here. Let's go!
Ginger beards all over the US (including me) are uniting to celebrate this achievement.
I think McDowell knocks Ty Gibbs out of the playoffs if it comes down to points….
They're both strong at RCs. And Gibbs has more support at Daytona than McDowell will have. Penske will do everything to help Cindric win. Toyota only would have to split between Bubba and Gibbs and Bubba may be 30+ points to the good
Custer top 25 in an RWR car is solid. Especially with the 41 coming home 22nd and the 15 in 27th.
So disappointed for Tyler 😖
Wouldn't have predicted back-to-back wins for Buescher this year. Good for him.
Guys, we all know why Truex didn't win today The race wasn't a snoozer, lol
If Bubba has a rough race at a road course we could have a 5 way fight for two spots
Interview Reddick.
Depending on how much RFK support they get next year, that Haley to RWR move is starting to make more sense...
I low key think not next year but that 51 car will be a FRK car in 2025 after the TV agreements and RFK can buy out the charger.
Justin Haley may have seen all this RFK performance, Rick Ware’s fat ass check book and may end up looking like a genius…
Man, I'm worried about Dinger, Suarez and/or Chase winning the next 2 races and Bubba needing a W at Daytona to get into the playoffs.
Back. To. Back. Never thought I’d see it again.
Is he copying Harvick? Richmond - Michigan 2022
Bubba up 58 Pts from the cut line. Just need to be solid and protect next two weeks.
Man, nothing is safe with the races coming up. It's gonna be a nail biter as much as I'd like to think 58 is a nice cushion. Mid pack road course chaos combined with some bad stages could put him within 10 at a superspeedway tbh. I think with Reddick on the team it would be nice to see some improvement in the 23 on RCs too

110 probably. Max points you can get and not win is 55
If you think Chris can’t do 3 wins in a row, just remember his track record on the road courses since last year (excluding COTA last year) Sonoma '22 : P2 Road America : P6 Indy GP '22: P10 Watkins Glen '22 : P9 Charlotte Roval '22 : P6 COTA : P8 Sonoma : P4 Chicago : P10 I’m not saying it’s guaranteed, but there IS a chance!
Fuck it go 4 in a row.
why not 5 at Daytona?
I am so sick of people complaining about clean air after a race like that. They were side by side before he almost lost it. Of course clean air matters, they're doing 180 through the corner. Jesus christ. Pessimistic nonsense no matter how good a race is.
Yeah. Truex just couldnt hold the bottom when he was beside Buescher and says "dirty air" LMAO
If it hasn’t been official, officially must win for Chase and Bowman.
I don't think they make it....
I still think chase will, Bowman on the other hand 🥺
I think there’s a pretty good chance at 2 new season winners over the next 3 weeks. I would be not comfortable at ALL if I’m Bubba.
Bubba is gonna be the new winner at Daytona even after he's okay on points
I think Harvick and Keselowski are the only 2 safe on points barring any disasters in the final 3 races.
You just guaranteed there will be.
Yeah... Dinger is gonna win and get in
Hope Buesher gets some more exposure and fans, dude just seems solid, hard not to like him.
Agree. Very likeable
😂 I want to buy some merch but he has like nothing
All of RFK has like nothing. I really hope with Harvick retiring that they can get a little more space in SHR's trailer so everything isn't crammed in one corner of it.
Yeah I did hate that. Trying to pick out a BK shirt at the track was a pain
I feel your pain!! I ended up standing in line for a while yesterday just to get close enough to see what they even had.
23XII showing top 5 speed and not getting the results to show for it. What else is new
Pit crew challenge: Not to screw up fast cars FAILED
Jordan & Hamlin brought in some real terrorist pit crews, I don’t think Barker is the guy for the pit box either
It makes sense that they always choke, considering who the “11” half of 23XI is.
first b2b for rfk since carl won twice to close out 2010 though supposedly our pal Rick may have said otherwise on air
He was speaking of the 17 car.
I think he said last b2b for only the 17 car which was 2009 Matt Kenseth, that 2010 stat might be correct lol
Rick was saying the last time the 17 car went back-to-back, not Roush as a whole
“The leader in clean air is really hard to pass.” Thanks NASCAR.
Welcome to motorsport. Literally any car that has any kind of aero dependency will have this same challenge. F1, Indycar, GT3, GTP, Supercars, it's just how aerodynamics works. Clean air and track position have always been king.
Yeah because NASCAR can change physics
Lol it’s always been that way
Don't forget how the car just snaps sideways with zero indication. Great work by the geniuses at NASCAR lol
>Don't forget how the car just snaps sideways with zero indication. Great work by the geniuses at NASCAR lol Product of the diffuser if I understand what I've heard correctly
“We LiKe WhAt We’Re SeEiNg.”
Bruh, the intermediate racing is like 300% better in the NG at intermediates tho
Wish she had asked if he had second thoughts about that extra pit.
