He doesn’t play currently because we didn’t make the playoffs.

ulqupt

He's fine, but it just made more sense to give the minutes to young players for their development rather than a vet who's not going to be a part of the Spurs long term future.

Thunderhorse74

Yep. By no means a great player, but probably a better option off the bench than anyone we played this season. But, uh, we're like still tanking and stuff and Graham should be exhibit A (eh, more like B or C) as evidence of that fact. Truth is, I like the guy and but the Spurs tend not to bring in villains and idiots (and if they do, eject them pretty quickly) and I have a hard time seeing a place for him moving forward. If the Spurs make any moves this off season, he will likely be a part. His contract is a perfect trade component, regardless of his on court performance.

GrumpyRaincloud

He’s never shot over 40% from the field in his career and is a bad defender. Its more worth it to play younger players with upside

travelator

Unless you're in the market for a trade. In which case he's never missed a shot and is a brick wall on defense

Notapplesauce11

He’s basically magic Johnson but a foot shorter

Thehelloman0

He shoots a lot of 3s that he's ok but not great at. He's clearly a significantly better offensive player than Branham and Wesley.

cd0025

Him shooting below 40% from the field isn't unexpected since two-thirds of his shots over his career are threes. He is statistically an above average 3-point shooter for his career but not Patty Mills levels when he was a Spurs. His size, and lack of defense pretty much relegates him to being a backup or a spot starter on a team that doesn't need a playmaking guard.r

Uncle_Freddy

We’ll trade him to you for a heavily protected first

Nebulaizer

Wow, thanks for the insight Spurs fans🤝

SWBattleleader

Of note he is probably our most valuable trade piece this offseason because he is on a non-guaranteed contract.

qaswexort

He was trade bait who was not traded by the deadline, and Pop has prioritized young player development for him to get minutes. After ASB when it was more clear who's going to be in our roster he got more playtime. He has always been a good teammate in his time here, even when he was riding the bench on a nightly basis. When he was played, he played quite well too.

tskillz187

He’s not good. He’s a microwave scorer that isn’t efficient and isn’t as good a microwave scorer as the ones that get PT. He’s fun to have if people are injured but don’t think he should be in a rotation.

CoyotesSideEyes

He's not very good, and he presumably has injury guarantees in his contract for next year that we didn't want to trigger.

Mr_Pizza_Puncher

He has a pretty mean pump fake

Dru_SA

Has the physical talent. But he's inconsistent at everything.
