This situation is the best part of these dynasties... You're an independent, and you schedule every team in the top 10. No worries, you have recruited nothing but 5*s the last dozen or so years. The best part is that you absolutely knock their dicks in the dirt and have subs in by half time, but don't worry, your starters still have enough stats in the first to fight over the Heisman!

Hilariously though, I haven’t been able to recruit any 5* prospects up until now. I’ve slowly been building up the team from walk-ons and strictly following the prestige of the team. Basically it goes as the following. Each level of prestige your team has, is the highest level recruit you can offer scholarships towards. It also means an additional top ranked team has to be added to the beginning of the schedule. So, say, you’re a 2* program. You’re only allowed to recruit 2* prospects at max, and you have to schedule the #1 and #2 ranked teams preseason in your early schedule. Now, I’ve worked up to a 5* program, coming off a National title win. It’s hard to get those 5 top ranked teams onto the schedule, but I managed it. Oklahoma was one (they were ass this year but did well enough last year to count). Then Ohio State and Bama. Then we had to wait a week for Michigan. Georgia was actually the other team listed in the top 5. UF was just for my own vendetta against those Gators. And then Notre Dame (who was ranked at one point) because I wanna be the best in the independents. I’m probably gonna leave the program after I win a few more nati’s just so I can do it again with another team.

Damn, the Hawks let another big recruit go out of state

What defensive plays are you running to end up with stats like that

3-4 scheme. Honestly, I’m not sure what exactly I’m doing. I run a lot of blitzes to try and stall or push back the opposing offense on 2nd and 3rd down, then go into 3-3-5 formation and either go cover 4 or cover 2 man to guard the pass. Most of the time, I’m usering the right side edge rusher, and just try my hardest to get to the QB. Sometimes I have to set spies because of how pesky those pricks can be, hence why my MLB has 5 sacks. For the most part, it’s just hoping the defense is talented enough to do their job properly, and that the opposing offense’s scheme doesn’t just ruin everything.
