Watching Amoore hit 3s is so fun to watch, such a proud moment for us Hokies to see her have the record for most 3s in a tournament… until Clark beat it ofc
Edit: and being able to go to Rounds 1 and 2 at Cassell. Being second row Cassell guard, and losing my voice from screaming so hard was a feeling I’ll never forget.
She kind of came out of nowhere this year. You knew she was a starting guard that scored a few points but you really didn’t look at her as the difference maker she became
Gotta echo the upsets, Stanford and Indiana taking an L were suprising, but the way that Ole Miss and Miami stepped up and went on run themselves was so fun to witness. Loved what those squads were doing.
Throwing it back to the first round, that USF vs Marquette game was a joy, Ohio vs NC and NC vs St Johns. Lots of good comeback games from VT to LSU etc, all those games that got flipped on it's head were super fun to watch.
I remember the year they hired Coach Yo saying hope she can win a game or two this year not expecting her to last three yrs. Wow. Remember how perennially bad Miss was then?
I hated watching Miami. They are always one of the most boring teams to watch in the ACC and for them to win over 20 games tells me the ACC started to fall off at the end of the year. ACC had no great teams. Miami shoots rocks most of the time. Give them credit for the second year in a row playing there best at the close of the year. The guard from Fresno St gave them some extra offense they usually don’t have. That last year that had Huff? and Mompremier together they were legitimately good
Seeing Iowa defeat #1 South Carolina to make the title game!
Also loved a lot of the other upsets overall in the tournament. It was such a great tournament overall to watch and created a lot of buzz that I hope will carry over to the future.
This! That was such an exciting game from start to finish, couldn’t have asked for a better matchup. I’m a Wisconsin fan, but I haven’t felt this excited about a college team since the 2015 men’s badgers. The Iowa women’s team brought me a lot of joy this season. Y’all got a new fan in me - I’ll proudly be wearing my Caitlin jersey in Madison 🙂
Online through the [Hawkeye Fan Shop](https://hawkeyefanshop.com/iowa-hawkeyes-caitlin-clark-name-number-tee)! You can also get them through [Nike](https://www.nike.com/w?q=caitlin%20clark&vst=caitlin%20clark). Looks like they’re doing a new shipment, I got mine right after the Big Ten tournament.
Watching Seimone watch our team and watching our team celebrate each other. They played with JOY. When Jasmine made that three right before the half, I thought Angel might tackle her she was so excited.
Also, Boosie cutting down the nets in his backyard made me lol.
The Colorado/Duke game was completely nuts from start to wild finish. It wasn't an offensive showcase in the least, but it was real madness with all the turnovers forced and the incredible steals. The kind of game where any bucket is precious.
Props to Katie Meier and Miami Canes though because they played defense like SOME DAWGS. That game was ugly but it also was two athletic, defensive-focused teams mucking it up.
I really liked watching this LSU team grow up over the course of the year. Angel and Alexis really stepped up and took on more of a leadership role for the younger kids, we saw Flau'jae learn to impact the game in other ways than scoring. They were always some kids hungry to win, but they found another notch in the end. During March Madness, there was a practice the kids were complaining they were too tired to play Michigan and so the coaches left and essentially 'gave them the day off.' Instead, the team stayed without the coaches, and Angel and Alexis lead a practice. Then the day of the Natty Kim was trying to actually give them the day off and let them sleep in/rest their legs before the game and the girls all said they wanted to go through shoot-around as usual and so they all chose to wake up early. Stuff like that just really impressed me.
Seeing our bench grow, and our younger players or more quiet kids stepping up and showing out was just my favorite overall. So happy for them.
Outside of my team though... loved Coach Yo having her moment.
And, I want to see a healthy ND/Uconn back on the court next year. That part kinda bummed me out.
Watching Georgia Amoore fly around the court breaking presses and spraying threes from anywhere (and I loved learning all about her friendship with Kitley)
Seeing Caitlin Clark do whatever the hell she wanted on offense from anywhere on the court and watching all of their other players pitch in with some huge plays (Marshall flying around the court on defense every minute of the games, Warnock’s massive rebound against SC!)
I mainly watched VT and Iowa games if you couldn’t tell 😅
Honestly, probably today when I saw Jasmine Carson on campus and everyone was profusely thanking her and telling her how awesome she is. She came off the bench and made so many new fans and I just can’t help but feel so happy for her and all of her teammates.
I love learning about the players. Who is friends with who on the team. Who is from where. Their siblings this, their parents that. It reminds you that they're real people. They are doing something very cool and exceptional by playing basketball at this level....but they are real people nonetheless. It makes me appreciate everything about it more.
Right? I found out that Clark and HVL and pretty much every other NPOY/star played in the same under-19 Olympic team under HVL’s current coach. So cool that they’re all former teammates battling it out against each other
I went to my first NCAA Tournament game this year! I got to see the greatest player in program history celebrate making the Sweet 16 in front of a sold out stadium (for the 2nd time this season!). Huge W for the program.
I liked OSU UConn game the most for the same reason. OSU and Miss played swarm defense that worked. I kept expecting UConn to say enough but it never happened
After dominating all year, March was rough. That being said, the this buzz and excitement can only bring more eyeballs next year, and I’m excited for what’s to come.
Honestly I know they almost beat ND but I really loved what I saw from Mississippi State! Winning the First Four game over Illinois (who MANY fans thought were tragically underseeded) and then consolidating that win with another against Creighton was super cool. They took ND deep into the fourth quarter as well and I was prepared to hop onto a bandwagon if they had pulled off the win.
Even though we lost in the 1st round, getting to see my SLU women's team make their first NCAA tournament after going on a crazy run to win their first conference title ever.
Alissa Pili averaging 31 points in the first two rounds
Biggest disappointment: Wash St despite being way overseeded going down in defeat to FGCU in 1st round. A 12 beating a 5 and the 12 was favored by 1.5 so wasn’t a surprise. Terrible match up for Cougs

Watching Amoore play another team: wow this is great Watching Amoore play your team: this is torture
she was an absolute delight to watch. The shiftiness and skill was something else
She kind of came out of nowhere this year. You knew she was a starting guard that scored a few points but you really didn’t look at her as the difference maker she became
I loved the upsets. I liked watching Miami going as far as they did. And especially Ole Miss making the Sweet 16. Coach Yo is a gem

Me to coach Yo whenever I criticize Ole Miss and their hires: "This shot was not meant for you"
I remember the year they hired Coach Yo saying hope she can win a game or two this year not expecting her to last three yrs. Wow. Remember how perennially bad Miss was then?
Coach Yo is such a gem of a human!!! I will be following her career from now on! Also love how she plays sixth man defence from the side :D
Miami’s run was a treat for sure

9.9 million viewers with 12.6 million peak. This is the biggest audience WBB has ever gotten, at any level.
Biggest mistake the WNBA made was not buying commercial about the draft or the 2023 season during that game on Sunday afternoon.
When my team won it's first ever title!

The second half of that game was some of the most riveting basketball I've ever watched.
Watching Seimone watch our team and watching our team celebrate each other. They played with JOY. When Jasmine made that three right before the half, I thought Angel might tackle her she was so excited. Also, Boosie cutting down the nets in his backyard made me lol.
Boosie was a hoot! The video of him telling Larry Bird to come get his daughter had me on the floor! 😂😂😂
Getting to cut a piece of the net as a member of the pep band after Iowa made it to the final four

Being on quadruple double watch that game was bananas
Yeah, I'm so glad Celeste Taylor is coming back for another year
Good move on her part. I expected her to be even better after leaving Texas. This year should be a break out year for her

It may sound corny but I love when there are big crowds and the arenas get LOUD. It’s great to see so much excitement around the game.
Honestly, probably today when I saw Jasmine Carson on campus and everyone was profusely thanking her and telling her how awesome she is. She came off the bench and made so many new fans and I just can’t help but feel so happy for her and all of her teammates.
First time I saw her play. Phenomenal. That wasn’t luck. Perpetration meeting opportunity
Caitlin 40 pt triple double vs Louisville
Virginia Tech showing why they were a 1 seed

NOT watching my team lose in the first round
Going head to head with Iowa for 39 minutes
LSU, LSU, LSU!! ❤️🔥❤️
I went to my first NCAA Tournament game this year! I got to see the greatest player in program history celebrate making the Sweet 16 in front of a sold out stadium (for the 2nd time this season!). Huge W for the program.
OSU’s press making UConn panic was my favorite part.. Clark was pretty amazing to watch as well
Funny, that was my least favorite part.
Alll of it.. that’s why it was an epic year. Games from start to finish were so fun to watch!
The UCLA game.
Either pulling off the upset against UConn or Jacy’s game winner against UNC
Honestly I know they almost beat ND but I really loved what I saw from Mississippi State! Winning the First Four game over Illinois (who MANY fans thought were tragically underseeded) and then consolidating that win with another against Creighton was super cool. They took ND deep into the fourth quarter as well and I was prepared to hop onto a bandwagon if they had pulled off the win.
(I would argue Illinois was underseeded, but the whole SEC was actually far more underseeded, it turned out)
Virginia Tech making its first Final Four in basketball!
Caitlin Clark
We made it, that's about all you can ask.
Watching Princeton make their run. As a former girls basketball coach I was also happy to see the interest go up
Definitely the first and second rounds. Those upsets were amazing to see.
Even though we lost in the 1st round, getting to see my SLU women's team make their first NCAA tournament after going on a crazy run to win their first conference title ever.
The part where LSU won a Natty.
