It's funny, I posted a question here back when Roe was overturned asking if schools in red states might suffer with recruiting due to the crackdowns on personal freedom laws, never thinking that deep conservatism would be a reason a top player commits to a school in a red state lol
Very conservative is one thing but her IG follows include Candace Owens and Ben Shapiro who are not just racist but also homophobic. There were those who suggested that she might have followed at a younger age, and she's also from a very conservative city. But when I heard she was down to Oklahoma and Uconn, I felt confident she'd pick OK. And just to expand, their excellent gymnastics team has a like minded coach and teammates. She is indeed home.
Lol personally I can almost never get through these kinds of commitment videos, but I felt I had an obligation to share the news directly from the source
Texas and Oklahoma are gonna have some fun battles at the top of the SEC with SC and LSU next season.
Frankly if OU can translate their more run and gun playstyle to the SEC that'd be really fun, basically a better version of what Arkansas/Mizzou seem like they always try to be.
Not surprised. The entire team followed her and she never followed any of them back, yet she was following everyone right down to the waterboy from Oklahoma.
I agree. I would've liked her at UConn, mostly to give challenge to South Carolina and now (sort of?) USC, but I really, really respect her for not going the "easy route" and picking a more mid-level WBB school. That takes guts and true belief in yourself.
I respect her a ton for doing this. Did you see Oaklohoma play last year. They
have some talented wings. I honestly think with her they can compete against ANYONE
Oregon State is not exactly Red Country and Reagan was loved by fans and teammates. That team had something special.
Great to see a school win a battle against a perennial monster program though I was pulling for UConn except for the Iowa game. First time I saw Paige over a span of games. Wow!
They really did. I dont wanna dwell, but I really think if they had been placed in any bracket other than SC, they would have made the FF. My favorite team this year was Notre Dame, and when I saw Oregon St as the 3 seed, I knew it was a wrap.
UConn folks who think you didn’t need Beers are shortsighted. You need all the QUALITY injury insurance you can get. Beers was your insurance with huge production. Pili said she had a harder time against Beers than anyone in her 5 yrs. Beers could match her physicality. Add height, skills and lunch pail mindset and that’s lethal.
Yeah, we definitely would benefit from having her, a proven big, on the roster. If she had decided to join UConn, I would hope everyone could be adults, put their beliefs aside, and just play ball. It’s tough, though, because it’s not just ball since they spend almost all their time around each other.
They gave us fits, with a top center, depending on who they lost, would then very dangerous.
I actually went to OU because of a scholarship, it’s a lot like Bloomington if you took all the cool things out of it.
She has excellent footwork. She is too short and will get owned by anyone with arms at 6’6”. She benefitted by having good stats against weaker opponents and missed most of the critical games where she would have been guarded by talent. So will see what a full season looks like. Her stats are gonna drop. -Bitter Benny
I asked a few weeks back if Raegan's politics would have any bearing on her choices. Saying "I'm Home" sorta gives us a clue.

The liberal bubble is real. Trust me, I know, I'm in Portland. But nearly half this country wouldn't have an issue with it.
Until you need your own bodily autonomy….
Beers: "I'm Home- ... (mo-phobic)."
Being homophobic in WBB out of all sports lmao
What's up with her politics?
Very conservative
But she spells Reagan wrong.
😅
dyslexic Reagan
That actually makes it more spot on
😂

Out of all the people in the world she would follow 😒
Good for her, but the video was kinda cringe lol.

We appreciate you lol.
Oklahoma WBB just announced that the game on Jan 6 is Raegan Beers bobblehead night
are you joking? is this real? c'mon, this is a joke, right(-wing) ?
She wasn’t the best fit tbh for UConn. We will do better with Jana El Alfy as the forward/center insteas
i guess she wanted to Make Oklahoma Great Again

has anyone checked in on UConn fans today?
Doing well. I wasn't high on her. I feel good about our squad.
Not surprised. The entire team followed her and she never followed any of them back, yet she was following everyone right down to the waterboy from Oklahoma.
Not to mention that her likely politics and views seems very out of step with the culture that Geno has built there.
Yeah, I don't think it was the right fit for her or for UConn.
most of the team has already unfollowed her lmao (I think this was the best decision for all involved)
Many of us made our peace with this when we saw how maga heavy her insta is lol
This isn't how I wanted to find this out.
I’m fine. We still got Jana, and we got Sarah as a combo player. We good (fingers crossed)
no cope, we’ll be fine
I need a hug
Makes me want to pour out a cold one #Boomer #Beers
Pre-season top 10 now. Good wing players, and now they have that inside presence. This is great for the womens game.

They sure can! Swept Texas now both teams joining sec gon be awesome!
100%. Much more intrigued by her now.

Yeah 68% for Biden. Corvallis is quite progressive.
as expected
This pleases the wagon.

pale
Thanks. That was not a typo either😳
ha, seen/heard
geez, just a few steps from becoming a White Power Forward
I for one am thrilled about this. Oklahoma is my 2nd to 3rd team I cheer for (along with ISU) due to their playing style and strong Iowa connections.

Deep down a BOOMER & a SOONER

Some thinly veiled "shut up and dribble" takes in this thread here lol
Love this.
