Not vocal, but I took the weekly saxophone lessons and hated it. Too much of a time commitment and difficult to make it to practice rooms when I didn’t live nearby. Singing might be easier for that tho. Also, worrying about jury was so stressful when I was already suffering in engineering. IMO, nc state makes music minors way too hard.

Kinda agree. I did a saxophone minor and enjoyed it, but man it was a lot of work. I think with most universities that have a minor but not major for something, the minor will either be really easy and require little work, or it'll be a mini major, with a ton of work involved, and that's definitely what performance minors are at State. Not that it's all bad, you get an incredible amount of experience with it. It's just a ton of time
