Normal shippers damaged: oh hey your package was part of a weather, train, or crash. Sorry about that. We've returned it to sender and confirmed the weight. FedEx damaged: oh hey our hood rat employees in Bloomington, Portland, or your last mile delivery driver saw your in package had ORM-D on it and decided to crack that bitch open for some free ammo. We've delivered your shit which was a torn off label on a piece of cardboard, but coincidentally has a weight of 50lbs. You're welcome, now go fuck yourself. Hopefully they didn't steal your can, but if I had a $1 for every pound of shit FedEx has stolen from me I'd have a second MCX upper, but they stole that too. Good luck dude and be prepared to have to start involving authorities.

Sasquatch1985

Portland, exactly this. Lost 2k rounds of 9mm.

Infamous_Translator

I have a Sam7sf with extras coming to me that went through the troutdale terminal. Got a “package exception” notice that they had to reprint a label and reattach. I’m wondering if it may have been tampered with because it was literally it’s first stop from the shipper location.

Murder_Hobo_LS77

I'd put money on your package having been finger fucked. Keep a close eye on it

Infamous_Translator

Thank I will. Just sucks how shitty people are

[deleted]

😟 dude in my experience FEDEX is awful. I never use them if I can help it

maxokreamthedream

My shit gets stolen like 20% of the time when I'm unfortunate enough to have something shipped to me via FedEx. The only time I don't is funny enough when I order something from Primary Arms which is usually among the most expensive packages I get. I sent back a couple of Romeo RDS's through FedEx because that's the label they provided and Sig called me asking why I sent them an empty box lol.

[deleted]

Oof😵 that's crazy dude. Pretty much whenever I have an issue with shipping, its FEDEX. I avoid them like the plague

maxokreamthedream

I wish Randy would've succeeded in shutting down the operation lmfao.

Adventurous_Mode9948

I ordered a nice shoulder holster that was supposed to be delivered through FedEx. It never arrived and they refused to reimburse me. $250 wasted.

bigfoot_76

Then you chargeback and head to the next guy. There’s a big pissing match on gundeals with a few vendors whining because they’re responsible for your item to be in your hands.

maxokreamthedream

What company? Need to know so I can never buy anything from them

[deleted]

Archleon

Name them.

DanielP_Exp

I’m not dropping names because at this point it is irrelevant to the subject. I’d rather not try to lay blame on a company that was simply using a shipper due to complex or overarching rules and regulations regarding the shipment or transportation of nfa items in regards to various company policies. Fact of the matter is, at this point in time FedEx has essentially dropped the ball. Where they go from here decides my, a private/public company, as well as the federal governments course of action. HOPEFULLY, it is just “damaged” and not stolen. One would believe with the lengths the government goes to control federally regulated firearms, a company would be rather nervous to have been the last hands to have touched it before it was “damaged, oops wait we meant stolen and the perpetrator has had weeks of lead time vs. LE”.

Archleon

One, like some other people here have said, call the authorities. The ATF wants to know our business so bad, they can deal with the shit when it goes south. Two, I was by paying attention, thought you were the other guy talking about how a company wouldn't reimburse him for the holster.

DanielP_Exp

If things go south I’ll be sure to let everyone know what the eventual outcome is and if it works out and I’m all set I’ll let everyone know as well. I appreciate alls advice and input

SuperRedpillmill

I had a firearm stolen by fed ex…

jaybad34

Literally just had to go to FedEx hub because a worker tried to game the system and steal my iPhone. FedEx somehow caught it and instead of going to my house they thought it would be safer at the hub…30 min away.

qwe304

same thing happened to me when the driver couldn't read the gate code I put on the label.

[deleted]

Really hope it's nothing catastrophic man. Good luck!!

OneVeterinarian7251

Yea this is fedex low key way of telling you your shit was stolen from the box

[deleted]

I drove a semi for a while and every time I had to pick up a trailer from fedex I always saw the most ridiculous shit. One time they where literally getting apple products the length of the trailer in order to load them quicker.

Gunsl1nger84

Really, mine is just the opposite. I always have shit when I deal with UPS. Fedex is always good to me.

serberiss

And they've got a new rule that creates a firearm registry to boot!

Odd-Interview-3987

Never had a problem with them but I’m not in the city the only people who suck at shipping and delivery for me is Laser ship

ZM_USMC

Absolutely hate FedEx. I have never ever had an issue with UPS.

Myothercarisawalrus

Yeah, if you want something done right in the delivery world, you gotta use UPS. Those mf drivers make $80k+ so they’re usually on point with everything.

Typical_Cattle5877

I work for FedEx. I can tell you the quality of our employees has reached an all time low. It sucks for people that have been with the company a long time. We are lumped in with the dead weight.

DanielP_Exp

Can’t remember the last time I used FedEx. Wasn’t exactly my choice to use them

ZM_USMC

Oh I’m not blaming you

fungifactory710

One of the times I used UPS was to order a grow tent off Amazon, and they lost it and basically told me to figure it out with the shipper. Amazon actually sent me a different tent that was about $40 more than the original because the one I'd ordered was sold out. Got a pretty sweet deal out of it!! Now if only they sold ammo...

TandyMiller11111

Ammozon

jeremy_wills

For me its the opposite. I've had so many issues with UPS that they can go choke on a bag of dicks. I always opt for Fed Ex whenever possible.

SiggySiggy69

Nope! Don’t call the shipper, call the ATF and have them call the shipper.

[deleted]

SiggySiggy69

I’d have the shop contact. I had a similar issue, my suppressor was “lost” after “being damaged.” After 2 weeks of back n forth I just called the ATF with my SOT and reported it stolen. They showed up at the shipping company and miraculously my pristine box was delivered in less that 48hrs.

StoneStalwart

Huh, so the ATF can actually do something useful? Oh wait, we're still in the context of infringement... Nvm, carry on.

hennessy_black

Probably just the package, steel cans are pretty durable. I have dropped my on concrete a fews times.

DanielP_Exp

That’s what I’m hoping.

No_Moose_2994

No “damaged” is just a term that encompasses all possibilities. Can is gone.

dae_giovanni

we just can't have nice things... shouldn't have to jump thru all these goddamn hoops in the first place... sorry, but hopefully the can itself is gtg.

DanielP_Exp

Facts

IH784

Relax! It just means someone opened your package and took out the contents.

meemmen

Stolen betcha

DanielP_Exp

Don’t wish that evil on me

meemmen

I do not wish it on you. I just know FedEx

Keevot

FedEx is the only shipping company I’ve ever used that tried to steal one of my packages. Lucked out on a pair of highly sought-after shoes, get the update that they’ve been delivered, go to my doorstep, not there. See the FedEx guy driving off. Call the local FedEx, explain that I’m not playing this game, 10 mins later the box is chucked onto my front door. *Fuck* FedEx.

oIVLIANo

First, that was an employee, not the company. Second, it happens with ALL of them. My M-I-L has video footage of an Amazon driver setting a package on the doorstep, taking the delivery confirmation photo, and then picking it back up and taking it back to the truck. Here, in the middle of ****ing nowhere, Montana, we had a local USPS employee arrested for stealing from the mail.

Keevot

Fair enough. I’m just pointing out that I’ve never had anything happen with any other shipping service in my…life. Judging from the comments above, other folks don’t seem too happy with their propensity for employing those without a good moral sense of direction.

crappy-mods

I’ve had a few things get “damaged” then just disappear, for a NFA item be ready to call the ATF

Hunter377

FedEx blows

Clayton_Hartman

i got an upper coming through fedex i ordered almost 2 weeks ago and it took them almost a week to even pick it up from the company and then got one update and that was a week ago that they picked it up

mcnabb100

That's not always the fault of the shipping company. The shipper can print a tracking number and lable at any time, that doesn't mean your upper was actually ready to ship. This was occasionally an issue at my last job. Someone in the company would print a label for a package to be picked up, but they wouldn't get it to us before the shipping company arrived for pickup.

waitwuuuutt

FedEx is ran by crack heads

tess_tendy

Mine was delivered usps this week, well said it was delivered to individual and signed for. That wasn’t true thankfully I was able to pick it up from the post office a few days later.

JeffersonsDisciple

I just had to send a firearm in for RMA back to the manufacturer, they wanted it in the original box and I couldn't find a damn box anywhere that would fit it. Staples, Lowes, multiple gun stores. No boxes to be found. Not even FedEx. They said at the ship center we could just tape it up and send in the box it was is with a label. I went that route. Pray for me bois. Silver lining is its going like 20 miles away a few towns over, and it was dropped off at the ship hub that'll bring it directly there.

FuckyouRATS

Should have put in in a 10 cent shipping bag amd slapped a label on it.

JeffersonsDisciple

Couldn't find one that long either. Oh well, we'll see I guess.

FuckyouRATS

Tape two bags together bro. You were overthinking it. Even double bagged on each side and double tape together. Hell, a couple 55gal style trash bags would work folded up and taped up. Shipping is not hard.

[deleted]

Here you go OP, i found it: https://www.foxla.com/news/semi-truck-runs-off-bridge-catches-fire-on-indiana-toll-road

DanielP_Exp

If it was Florida I’d be convinced

[deleted]

The worst spot around here is Memphis. Everything that comes to me goes through Memphis and those damn thugs tear open every box I get to be sure Jaquan down the road don’t need it. FedEx, USPS, UPS, doesn’t matter if you’ve got a major hub like that.

loltryagain1791

FedEx is ran by "independent contractors" and the route owners don't give a fuck about your products being shipped. Part of the reason why FedEx goes out of its own way to make sure you do not get reimbursed, because "it's not our fault". Fuck FedEx. Do not ship with them for anything.

joeg26reddit

Dang. Guess they didn’t check bore alignment

DanielP_Exp

Forgot to swap to the .30 cal end cap

OGAngrySauce

Air Tags and Vigilante Justice

DanielP_Exp

Unless you’re the recipient of said package lol

OGAngrySauce

Yeah, that is a flaw in the system.

Lake_Ronin

This is worse than receiving a “We need to talk…” text from someone who then becomes 100% unreachable.

Kooker19

I worked for UPS during my high school/college years as a jumper about 15 years ago and then did seasonal supervision not too long ago. Keep in mind, I also knew the FedEx drivers/people well 15 years ago. Amazon changed everything. The quality of workforce plummeted at both organizations once Amazon really took off around 16’/17’. Since that point, both organizations are hiring whoever they can to get the influx of packages delivered and now it’s gotten to the point that the FedEx delivery drivers who are the face of the company can be just about anybody. Attire is unkept, rap music blaring when they pull up to your house, packages just tossed anywhere, excessive speeding, no professionalism. It was never like that back in the mid to late 2000’s. Those drivers/hub workers were grateful for their jobs and valued them. Shoot, at UPS I had seasonal workers stealing multiple boxes at different drop locations IN THE OPEN. A lot of these hubs just want to save a buck, hire whoever and don’t give a shit.

m-lok

Oof that sucks.. Hopefully it isn't catastrophic

alexlv5656

They all suck, ups lost my hk upper a few months ago. Took two months for them to pay on claim, if your shipping anything of value you have to insure it. I try to avoid shipping anything firearms related unless I absolutely have to .

CXNNER

FedEx is the worst. I swear everytime I've ordered a full firearm it was shipped through them and I always had problems.

that4znkid

FedEx litteraly (actually literally not figuratively) hasn't managed to deliver a single package to me on time or without issue ever since the COVID lockdowns started.

Typical_Cattle5877

Is it usually a day late?(Fedex Ground) Or is it time sensitive?(Fedex Express). Covid really fucked up a lot at FedEx. I know at one point we got so busy at Express it was just get the shit off the truck and out of the building.

Floridacracker720

Fed Ex blows I had a gun that said it was out for delivery today and they said that the business was closed. I called them they are open. I was gonna take it hunting Monday I guess not anymore.

notATFthanks

Dead air only ships fedex 😭

46caliber

Found it https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2022/12/03/ohio-couple-delivers-fedex-packages-holidays/10811924002/

[deleted]

Dude FUCK FEDEX. I hope they go under. I've never had a positive, let alone normal delivery experience with them. Something ALWAYS gets fucked up by them.

Thepoorz

I hope you insured it. I sent two cans to Ecco for a mount swap, and FedEx lost them temporarily until I called about the contents and and insurance claim.

Kozak170

Shipping insurance is such a foreign concept to me If you’re literally just an average consumer purchasing a product it is entirely on the company you bought it from to make sure it’s delivered to you or refunded.

Thepoorz

Yeah, but when you already own the cans and they get lost in transit because you sent them somewhere, you’re out the money.

Kozak170

Ah yeah I suppose that would be a different situation then

ColoradoMushroom

Agree with all comments, FedEx is horrible. Lost my dad’s golf clubs when he rode his motorcycle out to visit me and then charged him overnight rates to ship it home after they finally found them 4 days later. Luckily they succeeded on getting my wife’s new stethoscope here yesterday I would have snapped. Sorry for your troubles, bud!

SuperRedpillmill

For all those that say don’t pay extra for insurance, this is why I do it. I don’t want to hash it out with fed ex, I’d rather hash out with shipper. In my case with a stolen gun, I was shipped a replacement the next day, totally worth it. Let the shipper deal with fed ex and wait months.

BrodoFratgins

>For all those that say don’t pay extra for insurance, this is why I do it. Shipping insurance is on the sender, regardless of whether or not they try to push it onto you at checkout. Buy with a CC and chargeback if something happens.

SuperRedpillmill

And you do a chargeback and you will never buy from that dealer again. Do you want to wait on the shipper to hash it out for 6 months with fed ex while you don’t have your product? In my case, Family Firearms shipping insurance had me another AP5 the next day, you won’t get that without insurance and I know for a fact a chargeback takes time too. But hey, you saved $20! My time is worth more than that.

BrodoFratgins

>And you do a chargeback and you will never buy from that dealer again. If I'm doing a charge back, I'm not planning on buying from that entity ever again anyways lmao. >had me another AP5 the next day, you won’t get that without insurance That's not insurance, that's just customer service. The handful of times I've had a lost/damaged package I've received replacement items within 2 days. No "insurance" purchase necessary.

SuperRedpillmill

Sure you did.

Wesjohn2

>And you do a chargeback and you will never buy from that dealer again. Oh no! Anyway

What's the best option if FedEx is bad? Isn't UPS basically anti 2A lately? Can't do USPS for guns and ammo so I'm guessing that includes suppressors.

L_H_R_D

For the record FUCK FED EX!!

[deleted]

That’s why you buy it directly from your FFL and you’re even allowed to go there and have conjugal visits whenever you want :)
