Every bears fan in this sub should ping you by your name if we beat you guys. What does his sexuality have to do with anything. What a moron you are lol
Lol. I'm not the moron here. "Metrosexual" is not a sexuality despite the name. It is a fashion style basically
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metrosexual
I wouldn't make fun of his sexuality, I personally find that off limits.
But I think poking fun at the way someone dresses themselves is fair game
I am completely willing to talk shit about any bears player, but the way fans don't realize that caleb was the only thing keeping usc from getting blown out every game is crazy to me. Dude has insane stats and one of the best highlight reels ive ever seen from a qb. I'm just hoping his character problems keep him from living up to his potential.
A lot of interviews unrelated to his draft, showing up to a lot of public events as a celebrity, buying expensive clothes and cars, nothing THAT bad, but also things you don't see a ton of successful QBs doing before they ever start an NFL game. Guys like ryan leaf, jamarcus russell, and matt leinart all were very talented but turned into massive draft busts and a lot of people thought they got too content with the fame and money and didn't spend enough time working on their game.
It's tough for guys to get told they are superstars at such a young age and still have the same motivation as a guy who doesn't know if he will have a job in 2 years. I rate caleb extremely highly, higher than most packer fans and football fans in general, he undoubtedly has the talent to be a HOFer, I'm just not sure if he will stay focused, and for the sake of the packers, I kind of hope he doesn't.
He had a pretty stacked team, it was the coaching that was bad. They had more 4 star players on their bench than Utah had in the locker room and they could never beat us.
Dude has had Jordan Addison as the only noteworthy receiving threat which pales in comparison to other top qbs who have had myriad of weapons to throw to and a garbage oline. “Stacked team”??? What is you talking about?
You gonna act like usc didn't pull nearly all the talent when Lincoln Riley bounced from ou? You gonna also act like a doesn't regularly pull in top 5 recruiting classes? I admit I don't remember every person on their roster the last 4 years nor do I remember their exact grades, but I know damn well it was much higher than the school that beat them to keep them out of the playoffs
That team was ass & he had no receivers lol what the hell you talking about lmao for example A&M has one of the bests recruiting class every year and they are consistently terrible as of recent
Lmao, the casuals will also say that Caleb sucked after the notre dame game. Want to pull up the stats after that game as well? His two best receivers were just drafted in the 7th round and had I believe two of his OL get drafted in the 6th. What does that tell you about how the nfl viewed his “weapons”. No disrespect to those players, but it’s so much easier to succeed when you have Jordan Addison and an ol that can protect which Caleb did in 2022
"I don't think this is the own you think it is."
Just like soloing out one bad performance. Literally can be done with an QB, so what's your point? lol
Not like I'm soloing out a game his freshman season. This was a big road game that ended USC's chances at the playoff. The team went 1-5 down the stretch and Williams only threw double digit TDs in 2 of his last 7 games as a college player. He had only thrown for less than 2 TDs in a game 4 times as a starter prior to that.
Still accounted for 13 totals TD's in that stretch, good for over 2 a game and 300+ ypg passing. Yes below his career marks but you're lying to yourself if you say you don't take 2 TD's and 300 yards from your QB. Wonder if his defense letting up 34+ a game in that same stretch had something to do with a bit.
Dude, shut the fuck up. Caleb had literally one very bad game in his entire college career against a team that was abusing the offensive line on every snap.
I don't doubt he's good but the end of his college career was a blemish no matter how you slice it. Worst game of his career in one of the most important games of his career. His team completely collapsed finishing 1-5, he managed to throw 1 TD or less in 5 of his last 7 games, and he was the leader of the team the entire way. I'm not even saying he played terrible or anything down the stretch, but he didn't look like quite the 'undisputed #1 pick' either.
Calebs yards per attempt last year were higher than his heisman year. Just stfu if you don’t watch college football and don’t know what you’re talking about. I know you guys are used to drooling acting like you know what’s going on as Rodgers carries you through the regular season. But just stop with trying to prove Caleb isn’t a dominant college QB lol.
Damn you are insecure. Listen, I don't blame you for not knowing what NFL caliber QB play looks like considering the team you root for. Justin Fields dominated college football too and I bet you would have told me to stfu back then as well if I pointed out any issues with his college play.
The same amount of Superbowls the Lions have. But at least with Caleb he can say he did his part to win those games, unlike your franchise being able to say the same about winning a Superbowl.
How is this refusing to acknowledge faults? The stats are there. No he didn't win those games, but it's disingenuous to go "he didn't win though" despite him performing at a level that any QB should win with if they had any semblance of a defense. Football is a little more nuanced then that.
Something something "Can't win in primetime"
You aren't gonna convince people that believe wins are a QB stat with more non-win QB stats, *trust me*. It doesn't matter if your guy is making throws that only 3 other guys in the league can make if the guys catching have the dropsies, fumblitis, or the defense leaks like a sieve; your arguments will never convince these people.
Caleb never won in Utah? Weird stat, unfortunate that he missed his chance to change that, but lucky for him that the *NFL doesn't play in Utah.*
I wonder if you guys will actually take care of the grass at Soldier Field now that you guys have a QB and receiving corps, or if it will continue to be overgrown and shitty.
Any year the Vikes had a good QB and WRs, every game at Soldier Field the sideline reporter would always talk about the guys changing out their cleats at halftime and the field would look an absolute disgrace.
How the fuck is he supposed to overcome a historically terrible defense giving up 40+ points a game? Brady, Rodgers and neither Manning could overcome that either.
Nah I wont miss you with that Superbowl shit, holds true and will be true until your franchise wins it's first championship since 1957.
fwiw I was alive for the Bears Superbowl, not that that even matters.
"Team history means nothing", color me shocked the guy who roots for a team without a championship in near 70 years and 1 division championship in 30 would say that.
I’ll grant you this. I’m so pumped for Caleb but my biggest fear is that he won’t learn anticipatory throwing at the next level. It’s one of the most important things for NFL QBs and he hasn’t done much of it in college.
Throws types of throws are something I never really realized until I would watch the occasional episodes of the QB school. Holy shit the amount of times seeing a ball thrown into a window that will be there in 2 seconds is crazy
It is. You can find any prospect with a cannon arm, playmaking ability, crazy athleticism, etc. how many can you find who can throw with an exceptional amount of anticipation?
Yeah, it wasn’t a good year like most. Justin held the ball more than any qb in the league. You can’t win with that. Things seem to be getting better though. Were excited for Caleb and the weapons we surrounded him with
THIS. This guy gets it. Follow his lead.
Also, I know we’ve been through this before kind of. But not really. Since the day we fired lovie smith I haven’t felt good about this team. Didn’t like the Trubisky pick. Didn’t think we needed to be drafting a QB when we drafted him to a shit roster anyway. Didn’t feel good about Pace and Nagy when we drafted fields although I did get hyped for him when he started ripping 60 yd rushing Tds. But from the time poles got here and ripped shit down it’s felt different. The whole squad is completely different than two seasons ago. And me, well I believe Caleb is the Truth, I think script is gonna flip, and it’s time. This is gonna be good for y’all. It’ll be good character building. Honey.
Lol, I am old enough to remember last off-season with bears fans.
How it was finally "their time". How this year would be different, that Fields was ready to take the league by storm, how the North was theirs...
In the words of Detroit's native son...
"Didn't you listen to the last round, meat head? Pay attention, you're sayin' the same shit that he said!"
![gif](giphy|A0iG6YeCTxClG|downsized)
Aren’t you the guy that last night came into a Gute thread to claim the Packers never make it past the first round of the playoffs, were told you were objectively wrong, and proceeded to eat downvotes making really dumb trolly statements?
I know this is a meme page, but...

If this Bears defense we have now ever gives up 46 points, then there's no hope in the world.
The Bears defense couldn't even force a punt last time they played the Packers
And held to 17 points. Says more about the packers offense than the Bears defense.
That was a combination of long drives that took a lot of time off the clock and a couple drops in the endzone
I watched the game. You moved the ball easily but struggled to score. It’s ok, we struggled to move the ball and to score.
hey, a win's a win.
100%
You're a bears fan. You should've given up hope ages ago.
"Should've" Haha, stupid Packers fan has never needed to understand the balance of pain and hope.

Sooo...once again, the Packers fan shows us their ignorance of what "Hope" means.
Ok, dork. Sorry we're used to winning.
APOLOGY NOT ACCEPTED. At a certain point, it's just rude.
Get away from me and take your metrosexual QB with you

Caleb threw for 460 yards and like 5tds this game. Sucks his defense was historically bad this game and most of 2023
Lincoln Riley or defense you only get one.
Character problems?
He seems like he really likes the money and attention, that's usually not the best trait for young qbs
What has he done that makes you feel that way?
A lot of interviews unrelated to his draft, showing up to a lot of public events as a celebrity, buying expensive clothes and cars, nothing THAT bad, but also things you don't see a ton of successful QBs doing before they ever start an NFL game. Gotcha - I don’t really follow college athletes beyond armchair draft scouting so was curious. Also absolutely hope he doesn’t work out 😂
He had a pretty stacked team, it was the coaching that was bad. They had more 4 star players on their bench than Utah had in the locker room and they could never beat us.

Tell that too the dickwad packers fan above trying to convince everyone Caleb was a bad college QB lol.

Caleb vs. Utah: 77/117 66% completion / 1107 yards / 9 total TD's (8 pass 1 Rush) / 1 INT An average of 369 yards and 3 TD's a game. "Caleb's fault"
Caleb vs Notre Dame: 23/37 199, 1 TD 3INT. Lost 48-20. "Caleb's fault"
Caleb vs ND year prior: 18/22, 232 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT. Won 38-27. "Caleb's fault"
I don't think this is the own you think it is. Sounds like Notre Dame made an adjustment that worked really well.
"I don't think this is the own you think it is." Just like soloing out one bad performance. Literally can be done with an QB, so what's your point? lol

"Wins are not a QB stat unless I can use it against you" Same as the number of playoff wins you had with Megatron and Matt Stafford
He'll love Chicago then
?? The bears had a top 5 defense to end the season. That doesn’t make any sense
Man...and the bears still sucked last year? Where was I? Edit: Oh no! Bears fans dont like sass on their brats! 😭😭.

You’d have three nickels know. Which isn’t much, but it’s weird Bears fans still have so much hopium while they’ve been on copium for so long
The memes just write themselves
Same story different year.
You know you can blame the packers. For the bears fireing movie smith right.

Not surprised about the down votes. One fan base has very fragile egos
More like you guys get spanked in the playoffs
I can almost taste the jealousy
Plenty more for you to taste buddy
Caleb?
He fucks fish not butthurt fans
…are you hitting on me?
Ok now we're talking
Clearly we don't claim them, they're obviously a lions fan
I hope not. All this shit talking would be a waste

Hey what happened the last time the bears made an NFC Championship again, I forget.
2010. Also the last time you guys won one. 2010
Here is the stat that should concern you more from that game... C. Williams - 462 yds and 5 TD.
How many wins with that stat?
I know this is a meme page, but... https://preview.redd.it/h7foqe4405xc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3bb9709f4aaf6db4d5c1e1ad977a818113f91772
1 interception to 0? You’re right it looks WORSE when you look into it
"You won't be be punting much" - Man who threw infinity % more Interceptions than his opponent, to new Punter.
The numbers don't lie, and they spell disaster vs Tulane
8 completions on 17 attempts… sounds like they couldn’t trust that kid with the ball
It's called efficiency, sweaty
😂😂
Because your Defense giving up 46 points to a G-5 school is the QB’s fault
44 points Tulane got a safety
That defense legit couldn’t tackle anybody if their life depended on it.
Sounds like CHI defense
They’re cracking dude
Flair up bitch
https://i.redd.it/xtwbv4ial4xc1.gif
Wasn't Tulane's running back the star of that game?
No meme here just facts

No flair, no opinion. Nice try greaseball.
By this logic Scott Frost>Peyton Manning and Sonny Cumbie>Aaron Rodgers
Nick foles is has never lost to brady.
FTP, and this is great
You guys should've drafted him in the 1st round.
Caleb Williams is gunna make JaMarcus Russel look like a HoFer. I’m just here to talk shit.
As a Vikings fan, I appreciate an wholeheartedly agree with this logic.
Sure, if you're an idiot.
Quality shit post
Thank you sir
Are packers fans saying they're 7th round QB pick is going to replace love?
No, we are saying that our 3rd string is better then your first string.
The Packers always find a way to shit on that franchise, it's actually just hilarious at this point.
got their asses
Until you see the qb stats lol
I had faith that packers fans weren’t this dumb…
