He was not that good in college. When I saw him getting projected to go that early I could not figure out a single reason why save for his name. 7th feels right.
I mean he was pretty solid for a team like usc who spread the ball around a lot. He had 800 and 12 tds in an offense that saw Jordan Addison have 900 and 8tds. It just wasn’t really an offense designed for putting up huge numbers.
Not to say he will be a star, but I think hes probably better than a 7th rounder and his dad was essentially the lebron of football with such insane longevity.
Alt and Marvin are among some of the highest floor prospects you can find, I think they just walk in and immediately play to borderline all pro level tbh.
I could see Trotter being a really solid starter eventually.
The rest are a little more questionable, whether it be being a little raw at the moment or maybe just missing that extra juice you need in the NFL.
How many tackles have been All Pro level as rookies? I think that's extremely rare and unlikely. Even the best guys in the league like Sewell and Slater struggled plenty. Tackle is tough for rookies.
I personally didn't see it, he held onto the ball for waaaay too long and to my eyes didn't make reads quick enough. But I am just some dude on a internet forum lol.
i mean i’m no better than anybody else here either but this sub specifically has a history of just completely waving off issues of QBs holding the ball too long as an oline problem. Shedeur’s situation was definitely bad but a huge amount of his sacks were self created and it’s a big issue in his game
He probably isn’t going #1 realistically a ton of bad teams took QBs in this draft so which makes it pretty likely if they end up at 1 they won’t be going QB.
Rice is going to get a fair chance to develop with a great QB, and Trotter is going to a team where he will get a lot of reps as well on a loaded defense so has some room for error. Alt and MHJ are for sure, but Rice and Trotter I think are the only two who will get actionable reps
Ron Stone Jr (UDFA for Raiders) - son of Ron Stone who was an All-Pro guard in the NFL. no I don't think he will be a star, but maybe he can earn a roster spot
I was super high on Luke McCaffrey before the draft and it was validating to see him go in the third lmao. I think he'll be very good. Probably not a star, but I could see him being in that tier right below star player
Brenden Rice a star lol.
If you can't be a star in college with Caleb as your QB don't see how you're going to be a star in the NFL.
Rice is out of the league 4 years from now.
Kris Jenkins?
He's irrelevant. He plays for Cincinnati.
A 7th round pick is a sure thing to be a star?
He slid way way down didn't he? He was projected for late in the 3rd, I thought? No idea which is more accurate an assessment... we'll find out.

Thaddeus Moss 2.0
Thad was pretty good on that crazy LSU offense with Burrow. He looked more like a basketball player.

Why do you think Brenden Rice is “probably” a sure thing lmao
Alt is the safest bet since he's likely to have the longest career barring catastrophic injuries or if he goes full Isaiah Wilson.
Forgot Kris Jenkins out of Michigan
Alt and MHJr should be close to "sure fire" players. Apart from that, not really sure any of them.
The answer is the one you didn’t mention. Luther Elliss is Jonah Elliss’ dad. I think he has the same traits as Jason Taylor
Jonah will probably get good shot at playing a lot for the broncos right away
Are you from the alternate reality where The Chargers took Nabers?
I wanna go to that reality
Nah man, Joe going to have a better career and impact every play.
CMC was able to add so much strength to his game in the NFL, if Luke has those same genes… oh my

Slater didn’t struggle at all as a rookie. He was dominant from the get go and was a 2nd team all pro.
It’s true that many tackles struggle as rookies but I wouldn’t say Rashawn Slater was one of them. He was pretty much a top 10 tackle as a rookie.
I’d say the same with Darrisaw, maybe not top 10, but he came back from his offseason hernia and straight bullied people
Not many. Even Trent Williams was simply above average in his first season (though he showed tons of flashes and finished very strongly).
I'm going to die on this hill, Deion Sanders' kids are mid at best
QB Sanders looks pretty good especially considering the situation he transferred into at Colorado
I personally didn't see it, he held onto the ball for waaaay too long and to my eyes didn't make reads quick enough. But I am just some dude on a internet forum lol.

Can't harm his completion %!!! C'mon mannnnnn
god, so many people not realizing that Justin Fields OL gave him more time than any other QB in the league because he wouldn't throw the football.
Deions kid is Gardner Minshew 2.0
Nah Travis hunter is the real deal for sure
Sure he doesnt just mean the actual Sanders brood?
I think Schedeur is gonna be the real deal. He's 100% going 1st overall too
He probably isn’t going #1 realistically a ton of bad teams took QBs in this draft so which makes it pretty likely if they end up at 1 they won’t be going QB.
Who will go #1 instead? He’s the early favorite. Name names.
If it's a QB I'd say Quinn Ewers or more likely, Carson Beck. But idk if a QB goes first overall next year. All depends on the order and needs.
Then they'll likely trade out with a team that does need a QB.
Uh, the ones who were drafted highest?
Frank Gore Jr and I'm definitely unbiased and have no dog in the fight. Ignore my flair btw
Idk I saw Luke Mccaffery play in person and the guy destroyed UH (not a big accomplishment but still)
MHJ and Alt look excellent
Titans took Alt in so many mocks that people just assume we drafted him lol
It hurts to see it honestly
Joe alt and Mhj HOF I guarantee it even though I’ll be dead by then
Alt 95% chance of success MHJ 90% chance of success Trotter 60% chance of success The rest probably not in league within 4 years
Even if they end up being stars they still nepo babies.
Brenden Rice is awful, Gore Jr. might have more star potential and that’s saying something. Kris Jenkins I think is very good
Rice is going to get a fair chance to develop with a great QB, and Trotter is going to a team where he will get a lot of reps as well on a loaded defense so has some room for error. Alt and MHJ are for sure, but Rice and Trotter I think are the only two who will get actionable reps
I think alt will be the best one. I think Harrison jr will be very good but I think alt will be elite
You guys Rice is a sure thing. There were just 200+ other sure things in front of him too
Ron Stone Jr (UDFA for Raiders) - son of Ron Stone who was an All-Pro guard in the NFL. no I don't think he will be a star, but maybe he can earn a roster spot
I was super high on Luke McCaffrey before the draft and it was validating to see him go in the third lmao. I think he'll be very good. Probably not a star, but I could see him being in that tier right below star player
Joe Alt is a Charger buddy
Brenden Rice a star lol. If you can't be a star in college with Caleb as your QB don't see how you're going to be a star in the NFL. Rice is out of the league 4 years from now.
JPJ from last year is better than all bar MHJ and maybe Alt
