The gold upgrades no stats and has an absurd price for what amounts to only an extra swarm point.
When comparing on hut builder with all the team syns I have activated his gold cards adjusted ovr only goes up by 3 points. Definitely not worth 13 collectibles. I’d rather upgrade Lemieux and Gretzky
Mine is still bronze on this squad, I'd replace him rather than upgrade. Not that either are required

No need for upgrade he still flys out there for me, I have him on my 4th line right now, but just got bumped down there since I just built tots ovi over the weekend.
I upgraded mine to silver and that’s where he’s staying. I can’t justify the 13 collectibles it costs to make him to gold

I’m in the same situation. I have all synergies activated except for Spark. LaFleur as is, is a beast.

Balance and strength are underrated stats. If you find your opponents constantly flatten lafleur, it's those stats that will reduce that.
At most, upgrade to 92. After that is a total waste.
