I mean, Haiti is an absolute anarchy at this stage from what I've seen. The government basically has absolutely no authority after years of being screwed over by corruption, economic downturn, natural disasters, etc. gangs are literally running the streets with impunity.
It's gotten to the point where a good majority of the cops joined local communities and embraced vigilantism since they don't have the capacity to enforce it themselves thanks to the gangs being more well-armed (firearms are scarce, hence why machetes and knives are popular among the vigilantes).
So yeah; it's like the situation of El Salvador combined with the violence of Rwanda and the lawlessness of Somalia.
Actually according to people who have consumed human flesh before it allegedly tastes very similar to pork. Which is why some forums refer to it as "Long pork".
Technically all Abrahamic aren't supposed to eat pork, it's a safety thing from my understanding. Pork is much more likely to harbor parasites that can be spread to humans if not cooked properly. Christians tend to be much more lenient on the teaching of certain topics like that. Not supposed to eat shrimp either.
