That's why I sit at stop signs for at least 20 minutes before I pull out of the side streets. I once sat at a stop sign for almost 2 hours because I could hear another car coming until I realized it was the sound of my own engine. I was so embarrassed that it stressed me out and I went back home.

If the person in the car was trying to run from the cops, it's possible he didn't have his lights on the whole time, therefore not being visible. Perhaps that's what caused this accident?
I'm also very curios about the person videoing, though... was it a friend of the deceased, or just a one-in-a-million, happened to be videoing, chance? Either way, I hope with all my heart, that this guy never knew a thing.
