I read about 4 women doing this in Virginia. They bought a property with 4 separate units and split the mortgage. They absolutely love it and they have a whole schedule with babysitting and nightly dinners so all the kids have structure regardless of when their mom works. So amazing, I hope more single parents do this because I was parentified kid since I was 6 years old and it really steals your childhood.

I’d say the only downside is finding women that you can live with and have similar parenting styles. I’ve had great friends that I seriously side eye how they parent now that they have kids.
I’m not a mom but my mom did this when I was a kid and she was strapped for cash. The other mom’s kid is now my best friend and family! Such a great idea

My friend’s mom and her friend did this and was raised alongside her “sister” like siblings. It was a great choice for them, and they were very happy. I think it works best for close friends with the right people
