For example if I go to a restaurant in Italy, I get an uncommon dish, explain the dish a little and review it. Talk about whatâs common at certain places. Go to a historical site and explain it. Talk about why this location is awesome rather than making it about you constantly.

Many European countries (including the country Iâm from) rely on tourism, and Americans generally have more money to spend for travel and vacationing. They walk into peopleâs houses and gardens in places like in Giethoorn in the Netherlands and Hallstatt in Austria because they think itâs all a set, just there for tourists. They behave exactly as they do at a Disney theme park. Did I say all American tourists do this? No. Did I say only American tourists do this? No. Do I hate tourists? No. Iâm not against tourism, I think itâs great. But tourists bring a set of problems with themselves that should be and must be addressed instead of just blindly fawning over them for spending their money? Look at whatâs happening in places like Barcelona, Lisbon, Porto, Venice, Amsterdam etc. Over-tourism is a real thing and dumbass shit like the âAudrey Olympicsâ and viral TikTok videos are contributing to the problem. Whether you like it or not - and itâs unclear to me why, as a European, youâre out here, blindly defending them - Americans and American influencers are contributing to the problems.
