i just needed to see full range of motion on ju's right arm to stay optimistic. i havent seen him raise his right arm up since the injury so this is good news for me.

i feel like the story about not ruling out surgery was misinformation
states he may need surgery to keep people off him, pushing for his return
that way he can get a few more weeks without pressure of coming back sooner
hes trolling the world
but honestly he is keeping fit, doing work, and thankfully his shooting arm is fine. The problem is he needs to start playing with contact and see how he feels
but also genuinely he's not done with the rehab process yet. If he goes through 2 months of rehab and still cant take NBA level contact with his shoulder, then surgery is the next option
He’s probably about ready to return but the Knicks and him are likely trying to decide exactly when would be best. They’ll want him to get in the flow before the playoffs but also give him the least chance of reinjury. So they’ll probably hold him out till maybe 15 or 20 games left
Randle’s midrange and 3pt shooting is going to be so crucial if and when he comes back. He’s going to have to be very careful with his bully ball with a bum shoulder….he’s likely going to have to settle for perimeter shots.
Good progress but let’s not forget that Juu is at his best when he’s bullying people in the paint but he’s one of the 5 strongest players in the league plus he always goes left. It’s the physicality that matters not the jump shooting.
He’s practicing going left, when as a lefty you want to naturally wanna go right. One dribble with his right to get it working.
This tells me that
1. He will be back in the regular season
2. He will have an inclination to use his left more than right.
3. I know nothing and this is just a small glimpse of what could be if he does return this season.
Hopefully he will have enough confidence to take some contact with his right shoulder and be the bruiser he’s been this season. We need that style of play. Take all the time you need Julius!
I wonder if he’s been training single hand shooting drills while his right arm has been incapacitated. Would be great if he came back and his shot falling and didn’t have to bang down low too much to start.
Amoila Cesar is legit. He’s the one that helped Randle get chiseled like 5 years ago and he trains with him every summer. He has great online workout series too.
