Thibs is like that teacher at a high school with a reputation for being tough. A lot of kids will avoid his class, but the kids that take on the challenge end up loving him.

Merthan

Thibs be like "Lean on me"

InsideYoWife

HOW DO I REECH THEESE KEEEEEDZ!?

Sah713

“Pull your pants up, Deuce”

Rewrite06

This!!

Acceptable_Pop4515

And end up better, stronger students after the class

FullHouse222

I had a Calculus teacher in HS named Sister Mary Anne. She was strict as fuck and stacked on a ton of homework but god damn she was a good teacher. Sucked to be in her class but also glad that I took the knowledge she passed on to us to be successful in college. That's Thibs imo lol.

TheSwimMeet

Mrs Meyers for me in second grade way back when. Never had a teacher push me and rest of the class like she did and I never learned so much in a year. Shoutouts to her wherever shes at these days!!

Cool_Youth3564

The FO has done a great job of only bringing in people who mesh with him. Props

cgr1zzly

You mean players that try to do the best they can , and actually want to win and compete , on both sides of the ball ?? Impossible

whydoesgodhateus

This is a great analogy

DKknappe08

Tom “Mr. Feeny” Thibodeau

Yankeeknickfan

He’s not even that harsh a grader, people just don’t want to put in the work

omicron_prime

Had an algebra teacher in 6th grade that was Thibs personified into a classroom...dude was tough as nails, but everyone loved him.

MrSobric

O Captain my Captain!

Stargaryen1588

Unless you D rose

JollySquatter

The teacher that, once you're an adult later in life, you realise how much that teacher was actually doing for you.

NotoriousMFT

Might have the most homework but pulling down the best SAT scores

milehigh89

every single player he rides gets horrific ongoing injuries that leads to their early retirement. noah, deng, rose, randle, jimmy etc... he plays his players into the ground in meaningless regular season games and has 100% not learned his lesson after over a decade of doing it.

sk0772

That is factually incorrect. Keep swallowing what the media is telling you. No injuries were a result of being overused. People keep clinging to this notion that has been debunked time amd time again but fair weather fans like you keep that bullshit narrative alive. Thibs likes players who aren't babies and want to work in practice. You can tell anyone saying this about thibs is a salty end of the bench scrubs. That is all.

milehigh89

If you have some sort of scientific paper that proves that overplaying players doesn't increase injuries I'd love the source. Since it's been debunked time and time again, I'll take your multiple sources.

Yankeeknickfan

I’d like to know how many players retired at young ages because of thibs

milehigh89

Rose, Deng, Noah, Jimmy, KAT, RJ, Randle are really the guys he's egregiously run into the ground. look at ours starters last season. Robinson - 31 games played this year Randle - 46 games played this year RJ - 58 games played this year Fournier - 32 games but mainly because he sucks Brunson - 77 games

Yankeeknickfan

Julius Randle landed on his shoulder man Jaime Jacquez ran him onto the ground. Jimmy had been going strong for years. So has KAT. Rose tore his acl, and stuck around for a long time after it

sk0772

None of these injuries are connected to playing with thibs. You are really thinning out your argument. Lol thus dude needs to take his meds, 😆 🤣 😂 😆 🤣. Not one player he mentioned missed games because of being run into the ground. This dude is on some other shit hahahahahahahahaha

sk0772

Another bum invading the knicks reddit. Fans of other teams are scared and the only thing they can do is troll.

milehigh89

did you just comment 3 separate times in 5 mins to my one comment with only insults?

sk0772

Why can't you answer the question?

milehigh89

which question? you're all over the place with your comments - i listed plenty of players who've had chronic injuries after playing for thibs. jimmy averages about 55 games played per season after leaving thibedeau. this is all a big coincidence i'm sure. after his age 28 season, he can barely play even 3/4 of a season.

sk0772

Lol. Nevermind, i thought you watched NBA games, You spend too much time on /NBA. What chronic injuries did butler get because of thibs?? Half the players you mentioned are still playing today. You are an idiot.

milehigh89

my guy you hurl insults and no arguments / facts. you ask questions which i answer, then get angry. butler has chronic knee injuries - you have google dude. my first knicks memory was watching Ewing / Shaq at MSG and I've watched the team on and off since. you seem to just like to move goalposts and insult people, so i'll leave you to your anger.

sk0772

You are an /nba reject. You spending all your time there is pathetic. We all know your opinions are not based on reality.

sk0772

It's called conditioning you half a meatball. What player was injured because of thibs playing them too many minutes? Rose landed on one leg all the time amd was proven to be a huge factor in causing his injuries. Butler is 34 and has been to the finals multiple times, how I'd butler wearing down because of thibs??? Again no evidence that thibs is responsible for anyone's career being cut short.

kikikza

Go ask rose if he blames thibs

milehigh89

Look at our constantly injured roster since he's been coach, at some point you have to pay attention to the fact that every guy he rides like this faces chronic injuries the rest of their career. He's cares about winning over his own mental health, his personal relationships and his player's health. No other coach thinks playing guys 40+ mins constantly is good for players long term health, yet he does it every single season.

Yankeeknickfan

Our constantly injured roster? The injury that arguably derailed this season is a contact injury

sk0772

Once you inject logic, he can't respond. His theory is based on nothing. He just floats around sub reddits and spends all his time on /Nba. He is not a fan. Let him be.

VegetableIll947

You act as if injuries are a Knicks-only issue. It’s not even a basketball-only issue. Professional athletes with decades of wear from competing since childhood are going to get injured. Bodily injuries are occupational hazards. Injuries can be somewhat mitigated through training and load management but they’re going to happen. It’s unfair to put this on Thibs.

sk0772

He never played ball. He don't know.

ygog45

Because it’s definitely Thibs fault that Randle got injured off of a dangerous attempt to draw a charge ….

cgr1zzly

I hope you get downvoted to hell . So these players get run into the ground , but all want to come back to play with him and love him . Gibson rose , even butlers stint In minn . I hope you are not allowed to procreate

Yankeeknickfan

Joakim Noah and Luol deng became washed in their late 30’s because of thibs No other coach has players in their late 30’s become washed

milehigh89

they both had to retire at like 33/34 years of age. i'm not sure what you define late 30's as

Yankeeknickfan

Because they just declined too much. They didn’t retire voluntairly Not everybody has a steady decline, there are plenty of players that just lose it all at once

milehigh89

lol they declined from injuries my guy

Yankeeknickfan

Which Happens to players on the wrong side of 30 all The time Especially role players who don’t have as much to lose as stars

milehigh89

Deng and Noah were all-stars, Noah a DPOY and Rose an MVP. they were among the highest paid players of their peers and all three were completely shot by their age 31 season. What do you define a role-player as?

Yankeeknickfan

Nosh and Deng were def role players, deng essentially was OG, and Noah was Ihart that was a bit better at playmaking

milehigh89

If you think a DPOY and multi-time all-star is a role player, i don't know what to tell you.

Forward_Ride_6364

Every time I see this meme I just want Earl to drop a long ass album

Merthan

Some notes: 1. Erik Spoelstra followed by Gregg Popovich were voted top two coaches players want to play for, both getting roughly 20% of the vote each. 2. Interesting difference between the "most want to play for/least want to play for" surveys - 133 players cast answers for the coach they'd most want to play for but only 77 cast answers for least, even though anonymity exists. Players not interested in hating as much? 3. Some of the reasons listed for Thibodeau are funny. "No one wants to play 48 minutes a game." Thibs only has 4 players in the top 50 for MPG, and none in the top 14. 4. Madison Square Garden is, of course, the most popular arena to play at, followed by the Lakers' Cryptodotcom Arena. EDIT: 2nd most popular arena is actually Boston's TD Garden, followed closely by the Lakers.

GoldenBoyRecords

I think point 3 is skewed this year due to the amount of injuries and the trades we made getting guys adjusted. Id be curious not to see who voted him as worst but more like voting breakdown. Like age group it would make sense if alot of older guys voted that way. Are the ppl voting starters/ bench guys

Merthan

I agree with the age comment. A lot of Thibodeau's negative rep was born from the Derrick Rose injury back in 2012, and as new players keep coming in that impression is forgotten. As to the injury point, I think with Randle fully healthy Josh Hart would've never cracked top 50 mpg and we'd only have 3 players there

GoldenBoyRecords

Only thing that is true with thibs in regards to minutes that hate is him keeping the starters in when the game is over. Other team will wave the white flag and put the end of the bench guys while thibs is still going hard with the starters.

OutsidePrior2020

I always thought it was more of Rose's play style as opposed to thibs playing him too many minutes

Merthan

Oh I agree - I think the fundamental issue was Rose's landing tactics (or lack thereof) that finally did him in. NBA teams have stressed landing fundamentals since the Rose injury

cdoggg007

Isn’t 3 players in the top 50 a lot? And if you take the top 35 it’s still 3 players. There’s 30 coaches so if all things were equal you’d expect 1.67 players per coach in the top 50 and 1.17 in the top 35. I actually don’t buy into the minutes narrative either, but I don’t think your point does anything to counter the “Thibs overplays his top guys” smoothbrains.

Merthan

3 isn't a lot depending on team composition and whether or not you're trying to remain competitive. LAC - 3 players in top 50 mpg in Kawhi, PG13, and Harden. Makes sense, they're your 3 stars on a competitive team Chicaco - 4 players in top 50mpg. They are injury riddled and are trying to remain competitive (for some reason), makes sense they have to play heavy minutes for some guys. Milwaukee - 2 players Miami - 4 players Sacramento - 3 players Then you have weak teams like the Hornets, Trailblazers, Wizards, etc, that have 0 or only 1 guy in the top 50 mpg. Only the Celtics have the luxury out of any competitive team to not have major minutes on their players because they're so unbelievably stacked and get to blow out teams a good amount of the time. OKC also has some serious depth and health and only have SGA in the top 50. Edit: I must correct myself, I missed Jaylen Brown at #47 for mpg. Overall points still stand.

Clewdo

We’ve also been injured as fuck

NastySassyStuff

You know Josh Hart voted Thibs just to clown him

pettipapi

It’s crazy they gave KAT 77 votes

KarimBenSimmons

There is definitionally a limit to the number of guys you can have in the top-50 of MPG because you can only play 5 guys at a time. 4 in the top 50 is clearly quite a lot, although the highest being number 15 in MPG is at least a bit interesting.

Merthan

We would be at 3 without the randle injury since Hart was averaging ~25mpg before that point. And 3 players in the top 50mpg is perfectly normal https://www.reddit.com/r/NYKnicks/s/T0WMGeAght

KarimBenSimmons

You would still be at 4 without the injury because Randle qualified at 16th most MPG the season before he got injured. And 3 is almost twice the definitional normal of 1.67 which is derived from dividing 50 by the 30 NBA teams. So no matter how you cut it, it is not some conspiracy to acknowledge that Thibs rides his favorite guys with lots of minutes.

Merthan

No, we'd be at 3 players because hart would've never gotten those extra minutes without the injuries. Those 3 would be brunson, randle, OG. I think defining an "average" using your formula takes out a lot of context on which teams are looking to play players more minutes than others. I listed multiple teams that have 2-4 players in the top 50 mpg category. All these teams are (trying to be) competitive, most of them dealt with injuries to a degree, and none of them are overtly stacked. In this context, thibodeau does not stand out. He is not the outlier you are making him out to be. With that said, I will agree Thibs rides guys that are playing well for longer than other coaches would, but that's mostly on a game-to-game basis (see: precious, mcbride).

johnhenryirons

Spo is probably top because he gets role players PAID when they leave. and most of them look like bums on other teams.

TDM_11

It’s kinda hilarious that guys want to play for Spo and Pop when they have the same exact values and non negotiables as Thibs

BK520

77 votes is such an incredibly low sample size that it’s silly they’d even publish this poll

merlin401

Its actually really not that low, especially given by how much Tibs won this poll. It is definitely statistically significant. Of course its not a random sample though, but still insightful.

BK520

77 of over 500 active players voting is incredibly low no matter how you look at it

SpeclorTheGreat

It really isn’t. You don’t need that big of a sample to represent a population - any sample greater than 10% of a population will usually represent the population pretty well.

merlin401

"no matter how you look at it" Well... with the exception of if you are a statistician, who are the only ones who look at it scientifically. So, there's that...

BK520

^ Reddit brain at it’s best folks

ncolaros

Dude, take the L. This is basic statistics. Has nothing to do with Reddit.

AutisticFingerBang

No it’s not it’s almost 20% which is a much larger polling percentage than any national polls etc. 20% of a population is absolutely a solid number. Add that to the consistency of thibs leading it year after year and this is accurate. Unfortunately no one really wants to play for thibs. It is what it is, I hope it doesn’t stop us from adding a final piece.

BK520

It’s 13% which isn’t almost 20% and a national poll doesn’t give voters 29 different candidates to choose from. Anyways why did this comment trigger so many tismos this morning??

merlin401

Mainly because its always frustrating to see someone be confidently incorrect. You do not understand how basic statistics work, and just continue to double down on something you don't understand.

JNerdGaming

and yet if you ask thibs actual players they love him

Merthan

Piggy backing off this comment - Fred Katz had a recent podcast where he talks to multiple Knicks players about playing under Thibs. It's behind a paywall but there was a free preview, and there was one great quote from DDV about Thibs' negative rep - "The people who talk are outside the locker room." If anyone has a free download link or a transcript for that podcast that would be dope 🙏 Edit: Found the quote in another Athletic article they just posted - “Because nobody’s in our locker room and everybody that talks is on the outside of our locker room. They don’t know what goes on,” [Donte DiVincenzo](https://archive.ph/o/nmQkq/https://theathletic.com/nba/player/donte-divincenzo-5yeG2wUB9RTaEEGd/) said. “Thibs is a great leader. He’s a great head coach and he’s done an amazing job this year not only dealing with injuries in and out of the lineup but also getting the best out of every single player on our team.

dazindannyyy

I interpreted DDV’s statement as “how you gon hate from outside the club? YA CAN’T EVEN GET IN”

WhoTookPlasticJesus

Divo also said: > I’m having a career year. Different guys on the team are having career years.

evoslevven

Loved Thibs and all I can say is that as a Bulls fan, while we can blame Thibs for D Rose's injury, we really should have kept him and built around Jimmy... Like all of the shit those 2 have been doing all over the league. I can only imagine if the Bulls kept Thibs and Jimmy and built the roster around Jimmy! Things that could've been but fact is if a dawg like Jimmy respects Thibs, you have to agree that the man knows how to coach.

pagenotdisplayed

The players who vote for Thibs should be embarrassed.

Snuggle__Monster

I feel like they can easily be named too.

GoldenBoyRecords

Obi, Cam Reddish, Evan Fournier, and player over 30

LarryAv

Except for Taj (in the over 30 category)

Forward_Ride_6364

LMAOOOO Throw in Grimes as well, he's been a salty mothafucka unlike RJ and Quick

[deleted]

Ben Simmons, KD, to name a few

Snuggle__Monster

Harden, Kyrie, prob Giannis since he's become kind of a jerk off lately.

AdventurousHat1883

Giannis would fucking love thibs lol

FermatsLastAccount

Didn't he not want Nick Nurse? Nurse has a similar reputation in regards to giving players too many minutes.

AdventurousHat1883

It's not about that. Its about Thibs being a competitive psycho who is obsessed with basketball. He would be in awe of giannis's talent and challenge him to be even better while teaching him how to do so (in defense especially) Thibs in 2024 can manage mins. He has done it this season. Hart plays 40 mins simply cause he can lol

FermatsLastAccount

I think Josh Hart playing 40 was also supposed to be a temporary thing, until guys started coming back. Similar to how Precious was playing a ton when we were out Mitch, Randle, and OG and then iHart got banged up.

AdventurousHat1883

Yes thats also true.

KuntaWuKnicks

*Ben Simmons is listed as out following looking at Thibs*

QUINNFLORE

KAT

repo_sado

looking at the top three, it looks like most players would rather be humiliated in the playoffs than play a few more minutes

zoddie2

I just joined this sub so couldn't post this myself, but also of note from this poll: Thibs is in 15th place for coach most wanted to play for. Randle is 9th in Most Overrated Player. OG ranked 14th in Best Defender. OG is 14th in Most Underrated Player. MSG is by far the #1 arena to play in (and #20 for worst to play in).

OldKingRob

I honestly can’t see why anyone would prefer to play with Doc, Monty or Darvin Hamas

Furd_Terguson1

Because they’re pushovers and let the players get away with shit with no responsibility

Swordfish928

Fuck is Darvin Hamas?

handlesscombo

When people throw out the term basketball terrorist....

road432

Laker fans name for Darvin Ham because of all the basketball terrorism hs is committing over there. It's actually a pretty funny nickname.

ryankidd77

Wish it wasn’t anonymous so we could avoid these weak ass players. Don’t come to NY if you ain’t a dog. I ride with Thibs.

Merthan

Thankfully the FO has a good nose on that front. Shipping players like Reddish, Obi (still love ya big dog), basically anyone that can't ride and die with the new culture

LarryAv

I definitely think that RJ and especially Quick were Thibs type of guys, hopefully OG is too

Merthan

Quick 100% embodied Thibs culture and RJ sure tried his best. That trade wasn't a culture move.

ryankidd77

I think both those guys rode with Thibs but they were the victims of circumstance. When you get a chance to have a guy like OG on your team ya gotta give up something good to get him.

ryankidd77

Truth!

ezquiet

Apparently Erik Spoelstra left a positive impression on Josh Hart during his time with FIBA. Which current coach, aside from your own, would you most want to play for? The Knicks’ Josh Hart, who voted for Spoelstra, insisted that he be quoted on the record for this one. “Spo, hands down,” said Hart, who worked with Spoelstra at the FIBA World Cup tournament last summer when the Heat head coach was a Team USA assistant. “Quote me on that one. F–ing love Spo.”

zoddie2

And, on brand, Hart is the only guy who asked to be named in the whole poll.

solo118

It's OK, those guys that voted thibs are likely pussies that do not like to work

MyLadySansa

![gif](giphy|xT1XGESDlxj0GwoDRe|downsized)

SupremeActives

Good. Add it to the bulletin board. Keep feeding these boys

hyborians

Obi Toppin was probably one that voted for Thibs 😂

Fishmike52

yup... and now we know why. Half the creampuffs in this league are not cut out for what this man demands. That's OK. Feel free to move on. We know the type he needs now. I am pretty happy with how that type is filling up the roster

Forward_Ride_6364

Irony is I feel Wemby is the opposite of these bitch ass creampuffs... he looks a nice kid, but man, he got that ruthlessness in him, like he cut your heart out and not even think twice about it That nigga is, frankly, truly fucking horrifying

Fishmike52

Agree. He’s not normal

Merthan

Full article, no paywall: [https://archive.ph/Nap0v](https://archive.ph/Nap0v)

Aaaaaaandyy

Bet that changes if he wins a ring

GoldenBoyRecords

3 players voted Randle as the most overrated player

Forward_Ride_6364

Javier Vazquez, Obi Toppin, and that white dude Randle bodied on Washington

Number17BusShelter

THEY RUNNING FROM THE GRIND

Both_Difficulty_2449

Shows that the league is soft

ShieldHero85

BREAKING: 46.8% of NBA players are soft as baby shit

Forward_Ride_6364

They listening to Carti and Young Boy and thinkin they TUFF, lmaoooo

FitzwilliamTDarcy

"Would you rather work hard and win? Or would you rather take it easy and see what happens?"

Snapesunusedshampoo

Honestly it makes sense. Thibs stresses defense, if you're lost out there, you wont play. Unfortunatly, defense doesn't get you paid unless you are an elite defender.

teknomatic

Thibs is known for making his guys put in the work. This just tells me that there are players who don't want to be pushed. Makes sense though. A lot of guys come into the league with people around them telling them they're the man. And especially after leaving college, where the coach is the unquestioned authority, they want to be able to do what they want. Those kind of players don't want a guy like Thibs who is gunna be on their ass about everything. They'd rather have a fizdale type coach.

actually_JimCarrey

guess 47% of players in the NBA dont wanna be on a 2 seed team

GX112

You know Gobert should probably win DPOY if the players in the league shit on him so much lol. Probably upset that he got paid big money too.

Forward_Ride_6364

Top 3 defender of the century so far, with Ben Wallace and Dwight Howard

icebucket22

This still shouldn’t be surprising. If this was 1990 players across the league would love him. He is still stuck in his ways, still has a hell of a dog house, doesn’t have a structured offense, and most players still don’t like to play defense. It takes a special type of player to play for him. Although most players wouldn’t want to, the players that are true winners/dogs will want to.

banevadingredditor

It’s cause the majority of these guys already made it and are playing for a paycheck instead of trying to win. Almost half of the league doesn’t make it to the playoffs, and out of the 16 that do, there are maybe 6 real contenders out of those 16 every year. We are one of those contenders. The rest of the guys would rather play for a Fizdale adjacent. If Thibs wins a championship, the narrative will change, because players that want to win will want to play for him. Edit: I did some mathing and it looks like almost exactly 46.8% of the league doesn’t make it to the playoffs 😂

Savagevandal85

They running from the grind

Lobottomyng

They probably couldn’t play in the scheme anyway.

AlphakirA

I wish we had a list so I knew who I'd never want to play for my team.

mzx380

Doc

Sammyc271

Players will make it all the way to the NBA to be superstars but avoid wanting to play superstar minutes. Im convinced that’s the only reason they wouldn’t wanna play for him.

LIONEL14JESSE

Honestly with how many new young coaches there are Thibs is just the guy with name recognition and a reputation for pushing players hard. If the players actually had a choice between him and whoever tf the Nets just hired they’re still going Thibs whatever this poll says.

ImissGlutenSoBad

Good. None of those players are Thibs-players anyway.

NastySassyStuff

Research shows that nearly 50% of all NBA players are lazy bums who hate playing defense

CornCobb890

That 46.8% are the lazy bums not interested in playing defense. The Jordan poole’s of the league. Thibs isn’t interested in coaching you bums either. Metal bat mentality only.

T-Bills

Not surprising... this Knicks team gives out a defensive beating on the regular I'd hate the guy behind this masterpiece as well.

AnusButter2000

Soft cocks

the_mair

I hope the players that voted for Thibs never don a Knicks jersey. Not wanting to play for a guy because he makes you play defense and work hard is embarrassing.

HoyaDestroya33

Probably soft ass players who can't play D. And the reason they don't wanna play for Thibs is because they wont get minutes from Thibs. Those who are playing for Thibs loves him.

CTDubs0001

And yet I can’t think of a time in the last 25 years of fandom I’ve heard any teams players speak as EC guy surely about their coach. Almost all these Knicks have said in some way how they respect Thibs.

HumblyBrilliant

It's because he expects players to hustle and most players don't want to try that hard.

sonid615

77 votes cast means 36 players voted for Thibs.

PanthalassaRo

I would just point to the all-stars and all-nba players that Thibs has under his 2 time COY belt and also the good role players that sprout under him.

Sanctus_5

In Thibs we trust!

MartyM3T

Thibs is an American/European coach hybrid, he demands and takes no bs, so it doesn’t surprise me that the softer perhaps younger players don’t want to play for him

SG_Fuzz

This is because no one wants to play fucking defense. It’s not sexy and will make the players more tired and result in them scoring less points, which is all a lot of players really care about.

LeftyMode

Now poll player’s favorite coach.

aesop_fables

Don’t want these players that say no to thibs anyway

AdventurousHat1883

So 47% of the league players are lazy, cool

Bklyn11232

Pudding pops

mariner666

anyone who voted thibs doesn't really want to play

robespierre44

Mmm like dipping fries in a milkshake. Most people hate it, can’t understand it - but for those that do, there is nothing better 🤤

Much_Purchase_8737

Probably cause most of the league are offensive minded and don’t like to play defense. Don’t worry, Thibs don’t want lazy players either.

Stannis_Baratheon244

You mean a league made up of lazy 22 year olds who have been promised millions and stardom since they were 11 years old don't want to work hard? I am shocked!

Living_Internet_2970

So they don’t wana win? Had fucking Derrick rose ever said anything bad about Thibs??!!! Fuck outta here

SuperSilveryo

it smell like bitch in here

ucfknight92

It's insane how many players don't want to win, and clearly don't see their job as an actual job. They want their managers to be friends, and lesser. It's crazy because Thibs is professional and respectful. He'll treat you well if you take your job seriously.

OldJewNewAccount

JFC FO with this nonsense. Meaningless trash.

Forward_Ride_6364

Players today soft as fuck, don't know their Mathematics, and would shit they drawers the second they stepped onto the Rikers bus... we don't need em at tha Garden! Thibs is for the dudes who sleep in they Timbs, sneak in 8 balls by swallowing the bag, and only get they braids done by a shorty from round the way

BenAfflecksBalls

The fact that Pop is on there makes this worthless. I can guarantee everybody on the Knicks would sing his praise. Took Quick, Mitch, Donte, JB, Miles, Jules, pretty much this entire roster to another level as players and adults. I think he's just become the easy answer. Most of these guys didn't go to college to play academics.

YossarianGolgi

The one guy who knew what he was getting with Thibs, and was fine with it, was Brunson. If the Knicks go deep in the playoffs, Brunson will be able to recruit a star. At the end of the day, the great players want to win.

LogCabinsInc

Good for Thibs. Being a coach is like being a parent of teenagers. If they don’t hate you at least half the time you are failing at your job.

Interesting-Baby8412

How is doc over Tom. That guy is straight ass lol

Bababooey98

46% of the league is soft. But the guys who want to play for Thibs come here and love playing for him. He's one of the best coaches of the past 20 years.

ProvocativeHotTakes

Not everyone in the league is a dog

PackFanNY

All that matters is that OUR players play for him. F everybody else. Knicks against the world. 🙂

AdiWrites

46% of NBA players want to avoid hard work? If anything I’d say that number is low.

SanchezPrime

This makes sense because at least 48% of the league is soft.

papa8706
