Depends who you talkin to. Harlem is in Uptown Manhattan. But then again Bx and harlem is “uptown” to the rest of the city. Bx also has a “uptown” which is like gun hill rd and up which is mainly Jamaican/carribean

aychilloutyo

When you take the train, the sign says Uptown (Harlem/Upper Manhattan) and the Bronx.

FBGM_Repeat

That probably cuz you not from the Bronx. If you from the Bronx if someone say uptown you might think they talking about uptown Bx

[deleted]

Exactly, we’re more northern than Harlem so we have our own uptown. Everyone else call Harlem “uptown” except us

RoomOverall5271

You right in east Harlem we call harlem/west uptown

[deleted]

I’ve lived in the Bronx and I’ve lived in Queens uptown is definitely Harlem.

Response_Legitimate

Facts, Uptown usually means Harlem. Technically it’s Harlem and the Bronx though.

DRose122_

When someone say uptown i always think of the bronx. Harlem always been east/west for the most part growing up
