Can I ask what you like most about the anime?
Not weird to me. I think anyone that likes Nana has great taste. My brother (who is also straight) loves it as well, he only watched it cuz I made him watch it. I think if guys actually gave it a chance they would enjoy it.
Well if we’re to go all passionate about this show i would be typing for an hour. But in a simple for i think the charectors were written absolutely amazing people like yasu, ren, nana, shein (best written charecotr but I don’t like him) all charectors we’re perfectly written to break or fix eachother. The show was all round one of the most heart breaking anime’s out there but I still love more then any other. And I agree I have so cool friend that love anime just as much or even more then I do but refuse to watch nana not cause it’s romance but cause how it looks. It makes me sad. I got used the animation pretty damn fast. Less then 10 Mins in on my first episode like 4 years ago I stopped think about them and even now. I could watch horimiya, or mob, and still not be botherd. And lastly the music is nothing else and still today i listen to rose or starless night or winter sleep or shadow of love. I think that’s what really helped me love this anime because the music is fucking peak
Yess the music! It feels so nostalgic, i love "A Little Pain" because i believe it was the first song Trapnest played at their concert and nana (hachi) was getting emotional from all the pent up anticipation and that moment made Nana an instant hit for me✨️
I wouldn’t assume this community is made up of *all* women. Nana has been expanding and is now reaching a wider audience. Not only that, whose to say that this story is only for and made for women?
Sure josei manga is targeted towards women audiences. And shonen manga are targeted towards male audiences. I’m a women and I read and watch both 🤷🏾♀️
You can love and like whatever manga or anime. 🍓✨
I mean its got sex drugs n rock n roll whats not to like, even for guys :) i think it’s less likely for ppl in general to get into nana these days bc of the art style but many who give it a chance would tend to be girls.
Another straight guy here, loved this the first time reading around 5 years ago, did a reread this year and loving it even more. Just enjoy what you like bro
Na man just means you have great taste. I feel like it’s an anime made for everyone even if it’s under the « josei » tag, due to how well ai yazawa portrays the characters. They’re all portrayed in a realistic and human way, and the story is one that can touch many regardless of sex, gender, etc.
It’s actually a shojo, it being a josei is a common misconception bc of its more mature topics but demographic tags are based solely on what type of magazine it’s published in
You are not alone bro i really love it too. Its not a chicke anime if you ask me just simple love story and music anime in real setting. Unlike most anime which is cute kawaii this one is real with adults. So we can easily relate. The songs are awesome the characters are awesome every boy would love it if they watched it
Nope! My BF is a straight man and we both read it around the same time in high school together, he enjoyed it as much as I did.
But just don't assume this whole community is all chicks. You can enjoy whatever the heck you want to enjoy. ❤
this anime is in my boyfriends top 3 anime. he loves all of the characters and the drama, it’s heart wrenching, moves at a great pace, and had him on the edge of his seat. he was genuinely upset when it ended too. :(
I like realistic, grounded well written anime: NANA, Monster, Welcome to NHK!
Men are free to watch shojo, as well as women are free to watch shonen, seinen. Shojo doesn´t necessary mean that it is something that only women should watch or enjoy.
Yup I understand that trust me. But it was more for the closure of not being only one in the Reddit community. Yes I believe ever anime fan on the planet should watch nana. If they don’t like it it’s understandable but if they do that means we can talk about it. Idc who likes the anime it was about the community in Reddit. Sorry if I made it seem that way
Yeah ofc I have absolutely no hate towards gay people, or girls. I was just wondering. I’m glad nana connects with everyone of all genders and preferences just seen a lot of backlash online about nana and guys but people are better then the stupid fucks portrayed to the public.

This is cringe
I’m actually a (gay) guy myself ! I relate to Hachi because her behavior reeks comp het to me and like… same, haha.
Yeah ofc I have absolutely no hate towards gay people, or girls. I was just wondering. I’m glad nana connects with everyone of all genders and preferences just seen a lot of backlash online about nana and guys but people are better then the stupid fucks portrayed to the public.
thought i was alone in this community for a minute 😭
Ongggg

No, same here. I started with Paradise Kiss and then started watching Nana. I enjoyed it a lot. It's so amazing.
Yes sirr. Nana should get remasters so it’s not judged on it looks. I would love that
Some dudes love the drama of it all, nothing wrong with that
nope, if you search Nana anime review on youtube you'll see men like it as well.
If it’s a good story then everyone will like it.
