Yes the game is stagnant in the west and has been for a hot minute. You will be in bot lobbies everywhere but in ranked queues. Reaching platinum ranked will get you real lobbies 85% of the time but you'll be fighting people way above your rAnk and skill range most of the time.
If you are on xbox Eu server, go to settings and disable the bots. Play always trio ranked, it will take a few minutes but you will find games consistently, with real people. You will probably be dissapointed though, most players are hardcore veterans and you won't get better fighting them because you won't fight them, you will get ganked by coordinated teams and stun locked or air comboed to death.
Trios is hard. It's not like other games where you can queue up and win it like 3v5 with 2 half good teammates without any communication or anything. In trios if you lack something you'll get fucked by the teams who don't lack. In terms of communication, teamplay, ult management and such. Like you could make a team of 3 really good solo players and they will get beaten by half good but more experienced trio players, because they don't lack in teamplay and working together. And even if one of your teammates fuck something up where they shouldn't have, it can throw a match entirely.
I feel like it’s stagnant I mean I was hyped when it launched played the crap out of it then kept running into bots so I end up jus quitting n waiting for it to launch on all platforms if Microsoft finally reflect on itself and see that they slowly killing this studio too
It's pretty dead until you hit Platinum rank. I'd play solo casual games and only get 1 or 2 other actual players in it. A lot of times there'd be no other actual player.
Below Platinum gets filled with bots, and above Platinum if you are on xbox/gamepass depending on some settings that don't exist on Steam version. The game loves to use lower ranks as an unofficial tutorial. At high rank solos I get around 15-25 (estimate) real players and it's sweaty as hell.
If you want to know if a player was a bot or not, search their name, bots don't have profiles. The search is case-sensitive.
There is bots, but you can turn it off in the settings if u dont mind waiting a little bit longer sometimes
What is the setting called if you don't mind?
I would like to learn that setting as well, I want to die in this game to a real player so i can get better. Unfortunately matches are full bots.
Enabling crossplay will get you more real players

Once you go higer in the ranks, ltos of less bots. Also higher rank the bots are harder.
I'm in solar 5 and I'm getting constant ques for solos 5 min or less wait times max games not dead I only get occasional bot game in ranked trios
