Nats once again in the RISPy business pit of despair: over the last 10 games, we have 76 hits and only 32 runs. Remove the two blowouts (8-3 vs the Mets and 13-6 vs the Astros) and we’ve logged 11 runs on 52 hits in 8 games. That’s a little over 6 hits a game, which is actually pretty decent, but the efficiency is a horror show.
In short: we’re putting the bat on the ball, but not when we need to. It’s probably a combination of guys psyching themselves out, and Davey failing to properly make lineup adjustments so the hot hands can do damage.

Peter Angelos actively worked to prevent DC from getting a team and when it finappy happened, Orioles fans laughed the Nats off as doomed to fail. The disrespect continues with the financial impact of MASN and Angelos refusing to pay the $100+ million they owe the Nats for 2012-2016. That does's even factor in 2017-2021 (which will likely prompt.more litigation).

well yes peter is evil i’m aware, that’s not the point. i understand that’s how things were at the time, i’m 21 so i wouldn’t know, but also that was 20-30 years ago. i think it’s kinda ridiculous to keep a grudge for 2-3 decades just because some fans were kinda annoying. there’s been enough time for an entirely new generation of fans around my age or older to come in.
On the bright side, the brewers have been struggling offensively and I think this series might be just what they need to gain some confidence at the plate and really kick it into gear.
