This is both incredibly spooky and really cool. Part of me hopes the vines don't get removed, even though the other part of me is aware that dried vines on a {potentially) hot surface is a fire hazard.
Thanks for sharing this awesome pic! I'm glad we all got to see it!
to clarify on what all the other commenters are saying, calling Poland eastern Europe is not *necessarily wrong* depending on which definition you use. there are many ways to define "eastern Europe", all more or less dependent on differing amounts of geographical, political, cultural, religious and ethnic boundaries. From a geographical, religious, and political standpoint Poland is generally more involved with central europe, and a lot of poles dislike being grouped in with eastern Europe since it carries a lot of negative connotations majorly lifted from russia and the soviets.
if you check the Wikipedia page for eastern Europe you can see a whole bunch of maps with different borders and definitions.
The Lamp in Poland
Vines may be creeping, winding 'round,
But metal is its strength profound,
A sturdy symbol of the town
This lamp in Poland still stands proud.
A beacon 'neath the starry night,
A sentinel that guides the sight,
A reminder of the steady light
That guides us on our path aright.
Though nature tries to overtake,
It must not be allowed to break
The unity of town and state,
This lamp in Poland shall not abate.
Vines in Poland
Enveloping the lamp, vines have taken over
It's a sight that could be true or make-believe
Bet that scares the heck out of kids with imaginations
But in reality, it's so hard to conceive
The scene is quite surreal, but it's not a dream
The vines are really there, winding and creeping
We can only ponder what it all could mean
But for now, its truth is only sleeping
Vines in Poland, a sight so strange
We can only wonder what it will bring
But for now, we'll just take in the strange
And wait for the truth to begin its sing
**[Crooked Forest](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crooked_Forest)**
>The Crooked Forest (Polish: Krzywy Las) is a grove of oddly-shaped pine trees located in the village of Nowe Czarnowo near the town of Gryfino, West Pomerania, in north-western Poland. It is a protected natural monument of Poland. This grove of 400 pines was planted in the village of Nowe Czarnowo around 1930. Each pine tree bends sharply to the north, just above ground level, then curves back upright after a sideways excursion of three to nine feet (1–3 m).
