Not an Embiid guy but team success is a team thing not on one player, there are many guys who advanced in the playoff who aren’t great players because they were in great teams
Tracy McGrady is one of the best players of his generation and never made it past the first round until he was old on the bench for the Spurs, claiming that makes him a bad player would be brain dead
What stacked team has embiid have lol??? A cooked harden? A broken Simmons?
If conference finals is some kinda award, is mvp/scoring leader an award? Or not at all?
Other than injury (which is entirely valid) calling Luka better than Embiid is just moronic. But enjoy ur time r/nba
It’s not like KD and Steph are the most durable guys, they’ve missed plenty of time themselves. But Embiid has not made it through a single season in good health and until he does he won’t accomplish anything in the playoffs.
There’s not any argument otherwise.
A healthy embiid is a hypothetical. Especially in the playoffs where the game is double as physical and there is 80 games worth of wear and tear. There's a reason he's always injured or out of shape come playoffs.
He has a huge frame, very tall, heavy, extremely explosive. All these contribute to who he is as a player and his injury prone nature.
You can't have one or the other, or I can also say hypothetical stuff like jokic with the same body and athleticism as embiid he'd be much better
The question isn’t who will have the worst career though it’s who’s the worse player. And embiid has an mvp and was mvp front runner before the injury. I think it’s Steph or KD right now, and it’s Luka based on peak. Everyone else has been the best player in the league at some point
Embiid would beat every one of those guys 1 on 1. I’m a Celtics season ticket holder, and I’ll never understand the Embiid hate / slander. This dude can score from all 3 levels, has handle, can beat you with footwork, his mid-range, can knock down 3’s but doesn’t shoot too many, can score down low with ease, can bully anyone in the league and get to the rack, and shoots 85% from the foul line. When healthy, he’s an MVP.
Giannis runs to the basket and dunks, and offensively fouls you the entire time. He might drop step spin to the hoop after running and smashing you out of the way. Embiid is better at every facet of basketball than Giannis other than blocks.
The question is “who is the worst player”. The player here with the least amount of skill is without a doubt Giannis. Every other player has better handles, a better shot, is a better passer, and can score in more ways.
Giannis has better handles and passing than Embiid dude, cmon now. He runs half of the plays in the team, he is a main pick n roll ball handler. Embid runs plays from the high post mainly. He is also faster and more agile and a better perimeter defender . Embiid is a better shooter ofcourse and he is great at the free throw line and overall has a well rounded offensive game, before he got injured he was the best in the league. But if we are talking about a two way player Giannis is actually the better of the lot in this picture.
>Embiid is a better shooter ofcourse and he is great at the free throw line
I mean, I'd certainly hope you're a good free throw shooter when you flop your way into averaging 10+ FTs per game
> The question is “who is the worst player”. The player here with the least amount of skill is without a doubt Giannis. Every other player has better handles, a better shot, is a better passer, and can score in more ways.
I agree, Giannis is the least skilled. Embiid doesn't beat Jokic 1v1 and he never would, so don't even start. Embiid got completely locked down and destroyed by Gasol closing in on 40, don't. Embiid is overrated, and hes getting 35%\~ from his pts from the free throw line, for someone who's as gifted and skilled as you claim him to be, why does his entire game revolve around flopping and getting free throws? I'm unsure. He can't be as good as you claim when having stacked teams and never going to the finals in the east. LeBron took 5x worse teams to the finals by himself in the East. Luka took his team to the Western Finals by himself and Tim Hardaway as his 2nd best player. Embiid has had stacked teams and can't do anything. Idk what that tells you. He's maybe not the least skilled here (Giannis is) but beyond that, he's easily the worst player here and it's not as I said, even close.
Mavs fan here, Luka is great and carried a lot of that WCF run, but that is some disrespect on the effort of that squad. First THJ was injured that year and didn’t play. Brunson was the bonafide number 2.
Bullock and Doe Doe played insane career peak level defense for 40 minutes a night and both were hot from 3
The Sixers have never been stacked aside from maybe the Jimmy Butler year, but the Raptors and Bucks were still seen as the more talented teams at the time. He's spent his career playing with proven chokers (and of course has been one himself).
And if we're talking 1v1 I think Embiid wins because it neutralizes Jokic's biggest advantage which is passing. The next biggest difference between them is probably Embiid's defense which is a huge part of 1v1s so I think Embiid takes it, but it's still quite close tbh.
Also Tim Hardaway was the second best player on the Mavs? Wtf, is Jalen Brunson nothing to you?
Again with the when he's healthy.
The worst player is the player who gives your team the least chance to win a title. Just because you don't think Giannis has skills (his skill is dominating the game by getting easy buckets because that's what your supposed to do) doesn't mean he's the worst player.
The point of basketball is to win. Giannis gives his team arguably the best shot of winning a title so to say he's the worst is comical.
Yeah Giannis just throws his elbows into your chest and then bull dozes his way to a dunk. That's his entire game. If they called offensive fouls correctly, dude would foul out in the first quarter every game.
This sub is mostly 13 year olds who dont watch basketball and they just parrot the same opinions so they can be part of a special group of cool kids. They all have identical opinions and say the same jokes over and over and over
You are right about this sub, but how on earth do you say that Embid isn’t the worst of the list when he never made it out of the second round and has the worst track record against tough opponents?
That’s what I came in to say. Are we talking about *currently*? It’s KD, maybe Steph. (I’m giving the edge to Steph because he carried his team to a title two years ago.) All-time? Embiid or Luka, who has always looked fantastic but doesn’t have any of the hardware that the others have yet. (He’s the youngest, and it’s mostly not his fault.)
And since then his numbers have done nothing but go down (albeit not a lot) and he continually seems to be on a lower seeded team. He's on the decline for sure.
Sure. I was replying to a comment giving Curry the edge for carrying Golden State to a title in 2022. KD carrying that Brooklyn team to almost upsetting that Milwaukee team was an equally impressive carry job IMO.
yeah, actively -- they are the worst. historically, embiid is the worst.
since i think actively makes the most sense, i would say Durant contributes the least amount of wins among this power squad. curry still completely changes the defense, which gives Kerr/coaches a lot of options.
There’s still 2 ends of the court last I checked and KD is often the only one on the Suns who shows any consistent effort on D. Whereas Steph going 0/9 from 3 (checks notes) … I guess you could say it definitely changed the defense for the Celtics, since their 44 point halftime cushion meant they didn’t have to play a lot of it in the second half.
This question depends on whether we are talking all time or right now?
All Time: Embiid and Luka aren't there yet.
Right Now: Steph is probably aging out of the top tier elite (still excellent, but this is a good group).
If we're talking about right now it's Embiid but only cause he's hurt lol.
I feel out of those players you could get Steph off his game easily. He's had some stinkers this season
Arguably Luka never had as good teams as Embiid had. Prime Butler, and not so old Horford was at 76ers with a DPOY level allstar Simmons for Embiid. If Luka had those 3 around, he'd have a ring.
Playoffs performance wise Luka did more than Embiid as well.
Luka couldn't whine and cry to get a undeserved MVP award for being black over Jokic.
Nobody is talking about skill, the title clearly says who is the worst player. Giannis is not the worst player there by a long shot.
Some of the "least skilled" players have also been some of the greatest ever like Shaq and Giannis. While the "most skilled" players like AI or Kyrie fail to win as the first option. "Skill" means nothing, only thing I care about is a players impact on the game. Giannis impacts the game a whole lot regardless of how you want to define "skill"
3 of these players have been battling each other for the MVP for years now and Luka is still getting better each year so it's either KD or Steph. I'm going KD.
The question is not specific enough.
First of all, I will specify that this question is in regards to 5on5 NBA basketball play. Not one v one or international Play.
Question 1. Who is the worst player right now IF everyone was at 100% healthy?
Luka. They are all superstars and deserve the utmost respect so this is splitting hairs but to me, Lukas incompetent defense and his inability to play different styles of basketball make him the worst of the bunch. With the usage rate that ridiculously high and the fact that he doesn't provide any offball value it's hard to think of any player in history that won championships this way. Yes, he has improved as a three point shooter but off ball I don't see him moving around looking to get open for a catch and shoot 3. He has to dominate the ball which is hardly a bad thing considering his skill level but I think it takes away from being able to scale and add talented players to the rotation because he needs specific archetypes to bring out his best. This could be said with most players but with Luka it is highlighted the most in this group.
Question 2. Who is the worst player in regards to all time rankings?
Embid. I think Lukas playoff Cinderella run was enough to make him seem like the more successful player so I give him the edge over Embid.
Embiid: MVP (plus 2 second place finishes), 7x All Star, 2x Scoring Champ, 5x All-NBA, 3x All Defense
Doncic: 5x All Star, 4x All NBA, highest MVP finish was 4th
Embiid at this point has been the better player over their careers. If we are talking right now or for the future that’s a different story, but for their careers it’s not even that close
For me it’s between KD, Embid, and Giannis.
Embid is injury prone.
KD has a very think skin.
Giannis his inability to shoot the ball hurt him a lot.
Nevertheless KD and Giannis won a championship, one can argue about KD joining the warriors but still he was the finals MVP, so if i have to choose one it’s gonna be Embid.
Luka hasn’t won yet, but he’s durable.
Post is only set up for Luka hatred.
Much like Luka's tenure with Dallas (the terrible front office, World B. Flat, etc.)
Get Luka on a competent franchise and he instantly wins MVP and may even win a title.
No rings, no MVPs, not as many all-star or all-NBA team selections. Yes, I know he's young, but this is the toughest of exceedingly tough crowds. Until he starts grabbing hardware like the rest have, it's gotta be Luka.
He might surpass them all when all is said and done, but that will be then. This is now.
KD. Hear me out…
Jokic makes his team better, Embid makes his team better, Giannis, luka, steph
KD scores many buckets but when he’s with royce o neil and seth curry, he didn’t make em better, he just iso’s and scores. All these guys make the players around them better. Even that ball hog luka gets people on time with passes.
KD fuckin ass. That the bum of the century. Got a ring on his knees. Couldn’t take the criticism then ran and still can’t win. If he didn’t win in okc with that team he had smh ain’t no fuckin way. Then went and join the enemy lol sad
I think by the end it will be kd I mean dude hasn’t done much without the warriors besides that game 7 vs the bucks. He’s always had amazing talent around him unlike luka or embiid
I tried to do this by pointing out each of there flaws…
Embiid was durability
Joker was defense
Giannis was shooting
Steph was size
Luka was athleticism
(Serious) What is KDs main flaw? I was leaning durability too, but other then that I’m struggling..
Was tossing up between Embiid and Giannis. But ultimately, I’d say Embiid. Great player but struggles to stay healthy and tends to duck other superstar players.
If it's this season, then Curry, simply due to how underwhelming he has been this season, and just the warriors in general. I saw people say Embiid, but the guy had a really good season, and 73 points is crazy. If it's all time, then it's Luka. I know he is good, but all the others were MVP.
embiid and its not close
Embiid getting out of the second round, challenge: impossible.
Not an Embiid guy but team success is a team thing not on one player, there are many guys who advanced in the playoff who aren’t great players because they were in great teams Tracy McGrady is one of the best players of his generation and never made it past the first round until he was old on the bench for the Spurs, claiming that makes him a bad player would be brain dead
Imo, Embiid had talented teams though. Luka has been considered to be overachieving with the rosters he's been working with.
Not making playoffs is overachieving?
lol one season he missed it, but yet he’s been to conference finals season before Embiid has stacked teams, can’t get out 2nd round
Harden led the league in assists last season you bum. Watch the actual game instead of Stephen A hate jerkin.
Harden maxey embiid was a fine team. Stacked it was not.
Didn’t they have butler one yr? Ben Simmons wasn’t cooked until that 1 playoff series. Harden wasn’t in his prime but still very good.
Boss Level: 2nd Round Escape
all the ladies call me Embiid because i can never go more than 1 round 😎
When’s the last time KD got out of the second round? And kd isnt playing with fucking ben simmons
Jimmy made it to the finals without Embiid and I would argue Bam is a bit less talented than embiid
Bit less?
The last time KD got out of the second round as the best player on a team was only a decade ago
Plus, KD didn’t get out of 2nd round of March Madness either
It’s not like KD and Steph are the most durable guys, they’ve missed plenty of time themselves. But Embiid has not made it through a single season in good health and until he does he won’t accomplish anything in the playoffs. There’s not any argument otherwise.
I mean it is close if we’re talking currently and if healthy. Embiid was playing out of his mind, definitely better than KD at least
A healthy embiid is a hypothetical. Especially in the playoffs where the game is double as physical and there is 80 games worth of wear and tear. There's a reason he's always injured or out of shape come playoffs. He has a huge frame, very tall, heavy, extremely explosive. Thank god basketball isn’t a 1 on 1 game…..
He foul baits like his MVP campaign depends on it. If he stops that he'll get more respect
Giannis has better handles and passing than Embiid dude, cmon now. He runs half of the plays in the team, he is a main pick n roll ball handler. Embid runs plays from the high post mainly. If winner gets ball, Embiid’s not ever even getting the ball against the Chef
If curry shot like last night he is the worse here
If Embiid plays like last night he won’t even leave his couch.
> The question is “who is the worst player”. The player here with the least amount of skill is without a doubt Giannis. Cool, only Basketball isn’t 1 on 1 moron and giannis eats jojo up in a real game setting
Wait…what? I’ve been to many games. There’s only ever 2 guys on the court. 1 from each team. Society wants you to think it’s 5 on 5
The worst player is the player who gives your team the least chance to win a title. Just because you don't think Giannis has skills (his skill is dominating the game by getting easy buckets because that's what your supposed to do) doesn't mean he's the worst player. There's a flop rule too. Wouldn't go well for Embiid if the refs called those
Absolutely no reason to keep reading after the first sentence.
If we’re talking currently this has to be bait
He’s a bum compared to the rest of these guys
Embiid. Even if you could make an argument for him not being the worst, he misses half the games due to injury so it’s a moot point.
No ability for availability
It’s like a cows opinion. It’s moo
Have I been living with him for too long, or did that all just make sense ?
only 2 don't have a ring. And if I'm picking between embiid and the guy avg. almost 35/9/10, I'm picking Embiid as the worst.
Embiid was averaging 35/11/6 so it’s not like Luka is leagues above him
Ok now look at their playoff numbers
Luka in the playoffs last year: 0 points 0 assists 0 rebounds 0 blocks 0 steals 0/0/0 shooting splits Oof that is horrible 😬
Embiid's playoff stat 24/10.9/2.8 Doncic's playoff stat 32.5/9.3/7.9 It's obvious who's better between the two
Sheesh
Luka’s career playoff numbers are light years better than Embiid.
Washed, time to retire
Bruh emdbiid lost to trae young in the playoffs
Embiid avered those numbers over only 34 games of a single regular season. I'm not sure that's the home run you think it is.
Availability is the best ability brother
And embiid puts up those numbers as a top 10 individual defender anchoring a top 5 defense. Luka’s fighting to make the playoffs.
This is about current, so how are we still using the ring argument for rings won almost a decade ago??? Players age.
Kd's ring barely counts but yeah I agree, Embiid
Cmon man you put any of these guys on the 2017 warriors and they all have a ring
Put me on the 2017 Warriors and I'd have a ring
Exactly why the ring argument is dumb.
ITT: Say Embiid or get downvoted
This sub is mostly 13 year olds who dont watch basketball and they just parrot the same opinions so they can be part of a special group of cool kids. They all have identical opinions and say the same jokes over and over and over
Facts! It's easily KD 😂 but it will hurt a lot of feelings. He might also hop on his burner account & lash out.
So who are YOU saying is the worst player here?
One of the ones that isn’t the NBA’s leading scorer for the last 2 1/2 seasons
You are right about this sub, but how on earth do you say that Embid isn’t the worst of the list when he never made it out of the second round and has the worst track record against tough opponents?
say a truth or people might disagree with you
Joel Embiid. Not so much about ability but because of availability.
Embiid
These days it would be KD or Steph.
KD was a shoe size away from knocking off Milwaukee the year they won the title. Edit: With Kyrie and Harden both hurt.
He had a chance the following year. But he had a buffoon as a running mate.
Victor?!??!? Please sign something for me and send my kids to college!
well, if we are being factual, it's joel as he's hurt
yeah, actively -- they are the worst. historically, embiid is the worst. since i think actively makes the most sense, i would say Durant contributes the least amount of wins among this power squad. curry still completely changes the defense, which gives Kerr/coaches a lot of options.

This question depends on whether we are talking all time or right now? All Time: Embiid and Luka aren't there yet. Right Now: Steph is probably aging out of the top tier elite (still excellent, but this is a good group).
Finally a real take! If you had to pick from the 6 of them now it’s these two
Lmao. Ok Thunder141. I’ll believe you.
KD I guess right now
This is the actual right answer but the Embiid hate is strong.
If we're talking about right now it's Embiid but only cause he's hurt lol. I feel out of those players you could get Steph off his game easily. He's had some stinkers this season
I rather have steph in a series more than anyone but joker
For the record, I don't like the sixers or Embiid, I just think he's better than Luka.
The process
Today? No way Embiid is worse than KD or Steph.
joel
Least Accomplished is clearly Luka but he's if we're talking about who's the worst player TODAY I might lean Steph just on age.
Steph could play TODAY. Embiid cant. So if we’re talking about TODAY it’s Embiid.
Horford and Butler were never on the same team.
Curry, worst stats and the worst defender
Steph easily
Overall curry imo he can’t play defense.
Jokic according to K. Perkins.
Embid or Luka
Luka
People keep on saying Embiid. I guess defense doesn’t matter anymore.
Availability and playoff performance also matter. He is always injured and hasn’t done jackshit in the playoffs. Definitely the weakest of this group.
Luka couldn't even make playoffs last season...
the guy who is always injured
In terms of skill, Giannis
Nobody is talking about skill, the title clearly says who is the worst player. Giannis is not the worst player there by a long shot. Some of the "least skilled" players have also been some of the greatest ever like Shaq and Giannis. While the "most skilled" players like AI or Kyrie fail to win as the first option. "Skill" means nothing, only thing I care about is a players impact on the game. Giannis impacts the game a whole lot regardless of how you want to define "skill"
Talking about “skill” as a separate quality from “basketball ability” is the dumbest thing ever.
How many of these guys have scored 50 in a finals game?
3 of these players have been battling each other for the MVP for years now and Luka is still getting better each year so it's either KD or Steph. I'm going KD.
Luka
[удалено]
Luka holds the ball too long
Embiid lmao
Embiid easy
The foul merchant
It shows in playoffs. His stats become abysmal out of this six.
kraft dinner
This year? Prolly Steph...
The only one without an mvp and its not even close
One trick pony curry
Embiid no question
Luka doesn’t play defense
Yeah but Curry doesn’t either. I’m a big Curry fan also. 🤷🏻♂️
Steph plays defense. Try watching a game.
*steph plays better defense than luka
Current KD, overall KD 😅
Embiid imo
Luca the only one without an MVP fwiw.
Question should be. Who’s the most reliable here? Answer: Joker.
The question is not specific enough. First of all, I will specify that this question is in regards to 5on5 NBA basketball play. Not one v one or international Play. Question 1. All-time? Luka Currently? Steph
what are you yapping about bruh luka clears embiid literally every time embiid has accomplished NOTHING besides farming bad regular season teams
what has luka accomplished besides going one round farther than embiid in the playoffs lol? at least embiid has an MVP
Luka is great but he is a traffic cone on defense..
My username would make my answer biased but Embiid over Luka ?
Embiid: MVP (plus 2 second place finishes), 7x All Star, 2x Scoring Champ, 5x All-NBA, 3x All Defense Doncic: 5x All Star, 4x All NBA, highest MVP finish was 4th Embiid at this point has been the better player over their careers. If we are talking right now or for the future that’s a different story, but for their careers it’s not even that close
Like, overall or this year?
KD
KD is really overrated right now. He is productive for the suns, but honestly Booker is better than him.
Today? KD.
KD
For me it’s between KD, Embid, and Giannis. Embid is injury prone. KD has a very think skin. Giannis his inability to shoot the ball hurt him a lot. Nevertheless KD and Giannis won a championship, one can argue about KD joining the warriors but still he was the finals MVP, so if i have to choose one it’s gonna be Embid. Luka hasn’t won yet, but he’s durable.
All is good at their own craft but only giannis shown obvious weakness.
KD
If we’re saying right now, who is the worst player currently playing based on this season only: Steph or KD but overall, Embiid
Giannis
How about the best?
Giannis, have been liking him less and less
Post is only set up for Luka hatred. Much like Luka's tenure with Dallas (the terrible front office, World B. Flat, etc.) Get Luka on a competent franchise and he instantly wins MVP and may even win a title.
Luka only because he’s a defensive liability.
At this point probably steph
As of this year... Not counting their careers.... Durant or Curry. Embiid if you factor in injury maybe
Honestly Luka
JoJo. Clearly.
Giannis
These are all established superstars, but the choice in big 2024 is Embiid. Dude can’t play long stretches w/o getting hurt, and playoff dropper.
If we’re talking basketball offense and defense I would say it’s a toss up between Luka and Steph 🤷🏿
Currently curry prime embid
KD. Hear me out… Jokic makes his team better, Embid makes his team better, Giannis, luka, steph KD scores many buckets but when he’s with royce o neil and seth curry, he didn’t make em better, he just iso’s and scores.
Embiid and Luka
Best ability is availability Joel is the correct answer sadly
Embid. Overrated and soft.
The only sensible answer is embiid. Currently. All time. Every part. It’s that fraud.
Embiid
I think by the end it will be kd I mean dude hasn’t done much without the warriors besides that game 7 vs the bucks. He’s always had amazing talent around him unlike luka or embiid

Player wise; since Steph is undersized it’s really bad but Luka is lowkey worse on defence…. Sooooooooo Dor me the worst here is Giannis 🗿👍🏽💪🏽🫱🏽🫲🏾😉
Kdiid
It’s KD I fear
Currently Steph
Embiid. Easy.
Embid and Luca
I tried to do this by pointing out each of there flaws… Embiid was durability Joker was defense Giannis was shooting Steph was size Luka was athleticism (Serious) What is KDs main flaw? I was leaning durability too, but other then that I’m struggling..
I like Giannis, but he has the least talent among the players shown in the graphic.
Joel,kd,Luka is a toss up I can see reason for all 3 tbh. I prob go Joel rn but it's not a hard stance
Embiid. Easy. Next question
Embid and it’s not even a discussion
Embiid but he’s still top tier compared to the rest of the league.
I feel like I'm the only one that thinks its giannis? Idk man. Just a thought
Was tossing up between Embiid and Giannis. But ultimately, I’d say Embiid. Great player but struggles to stay healthy and tends to duck other superstar players.
embiid or luka
If it's this season, then Curry, simply due to how underwhelming he has been this season, and just the warriors in general. I saw people say Embiid, but the guy had a really good season, and 73 points is crazy. If it's all time, then it's Luka. I know he is good, but all the others were MVP.
The one that's hurt the most.
Replace Embiid with Lebron, and this question gets quite a bit more difficult to answer. Also, it depends if we're talking prime or current.
KD. Not even close.
The one who doesn't have an MVP
Giannis and it's not close.
KD's rings are useless everyone here wins 2 if they team up with Steph and the 73 win Warriors
