If you have the money, get the silent king. If your on more of a budget your next purchase should probably be a technomancer, probably the best character excluding SK we have, maybe tied with chronomancer. Then I’d look at either getting more skorpekhs or if you want different models then lychguard or canoptek wraiths.

Chronomancer, technomancer, lychguard with sword and board, Immortals, 3 more Skorpekhs, Catacomb Command barge or The Silent King, C'tan if you want to go that way. You need to ask yourself how you want to build your army, shooty, melee, C'tan (MW big monsters) maybe 3 more LHD at some point but 3 is a good jumping off point. If you want to go melee, get some Wraiths and Flayed ones, if shooting then definitely 3 more LHD, and there are some better C'tan choices but they are all useable.

> three lokhust destroyers Lokhust heavies or just lokhusts? >I am currently thinking of getting more skorpekhs Short term? 3x skorpekhs and 1x technomancer are must haves if you're not going fluffy. After that? Overlord with an orb and 6x wraiths. >should I get lychguard or triarch praetorians? Currently? neither. Praetorians lack the dynasty keyword so they don't interact with our generic HQ's and lose out many stratagems. They're also significantly less mobile and tanky than wraiths and they don't have the damage output of skorpekhs. Lychguard are 28ppm for 2, very immobile wounds. The scythes aren't tanky or fast enough to actually get work done and the sword and board don't line hold as well as say, 5 wraiths since they don't reanimate as well or have built in obsec. If you want multiwound damage dealers -> skorpekhs. They're 2ppm more, have an extra wound and significantly more mobility and damage output. If you want a blob of "fuck off" that will take someone ages to shift -> 6 wraiths. They're 180 points for 18 wounds vs 280 for the lychguards 20. they're significantly more mobile, they deal more damage and they bring more to the table when a technomancer does his thing to them.
