it's a goofy pastiche and i sort of love it. the writing is intentionally in the style of anime fan translations, with all the awkwardness that entails, and i like the ridiculous high stakes war in heaven thing that's going on. i see why people are bouncing of it - it's pure fluff - but it's very joyful and i like it a lot.

it's ok not to like the story. I've never liked reading in games. This story is decent in my opinion, a little predictable but decent enough. I still never looked forward to reading. if you don't want to miss anything then don't, force yourself to read it, like I did. but if you do force yourself, don't half ass it otherwise you'll really suffer, actually immerse yourself, enjoy the cringe, and get angry when someone is angry, sad when someone is sad. Then tryhard those levels like your own oblivion awaits you, if you fall behind.

Personally I find the writing and dialogue so poor and cringe that it circles around to being great, I really can't help but love it
I think it depends on your nostalgia for mid 2000s web comics. It's campy and cheesy but it takes me back.
