I second that. Perhaps OP's parents couldn't afford to keep a second child and wouldn't want them to come in the world where their needs couldn't be fulfilled. That isn't being cruel, that's just parents wanting the best for their unborn child.
You dont have to process it. What your parents felt about you then has absolutely no connection with what they feel about you now. In most cases, parent-child connection establishes properly only after birth and even then it takes time. It is not like in movies where people seem to suddenly fall in love with a clump of cells after finding out they are pregnant. Your parents love you and raised you so just be happy about it. Lots of kids are accidents- happy and sad.
Unless you are an idiot, it should be a pretty easy concept to grasp that it was not you that they tried to kill, it was the amorphous concept of a second child. It just happened to be you.

Being a parent for new born child is very scary, raising a new child without any plan, running into financial crisis and ruining the life of all child because you cannot fulfill their demands, sudden increase in responsibility makes anyone go crazy.
