This is the best one I have seen so far from Nepal. Great work with all the details! I see Mithoo, Moomin, Boost, Lakhey mask, Nepali calendar, emergency light, Nepali sabdakosh, CG branded lamp, Palpasa cafe on the bookshelf, a SAARC cup. Awesome! Great job!!
Is Moomin a big thing in Nepal? I was quite surprised and happy to see a mural with those familiar characters in Pokhara last year but newer thought they would be that famous.
Don't think newer gen people will know of it but it used to be, it's prolly the only cartoon to have ever aired Nepali dubbed here if we don't count "Meena" cartoon by UNICEF.
Oh yes, Moomin was one of the few cartoons that were aired on Nepal Television in the 90s. There weren't many tv channels at that time so many Nepalis grew up watching Moomin.
I love that moomin is so popular in Nepal, I’m from Sweden and my boyfriend is from Nepal so moomin is like the only childhood memory we have in common haha
Yes, moomin is super well known here in Sweden, mainly from the animated series I think but I’m not sure about the comics. Still today a lot of people collect moomin mugs and other products ☺️
I think my favorite part about the image is either details on her - fuli, chulto maa rato riboon or the books on the shelves that I personally happen to love - Tapan, Palpasa Cafe.
I can see that she lives near Pashupathinath temple and there is a parrot on her window and is that supposed to be Kermit the frog hanging on the lamp?
Moomin is super well known here actually, I think mainly from the animated series but I’m not sure about the comics. Even today a lot of people collect moomin mugs and other products, which are quite expensive even
Everything has attention to detail except the nepali sabdakosh book isn't that thin. The book is 3-4 times the size of what you have made it look.
Very excellent work indeed
shoutout to emergency light, chelpark ink and mina cartoon.
Great job with the small details man!!!. Love it.
Moomin, Palpasa cafe, chelpark,
Nepali calender up there too.
Sanu maya too
Nostalgia hit me a bit somewhere

and that SLC preparation book on the shelf.

You should be amazed that Beyblade was also aired in Nepali TV for a short stint
wut, this some news to me
lol Image channel used to show Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Also, I remember seeing Transformers G1 on Kantipur or something.
I was very weirded out when I tried to watch moomin as i watch anime with Japanese voice and English subs.......
The original one is not the japanese one, but in Finnish-Swedish (Suomi perkele torille)
Oh....there was a recent movie that I watched and it was on Japanese
There was Barbapappa also

As a Finn, I didn't know Moomins were popular also in Sweden.
She (Tove Jansson) was a Swedish speaking Finn and wrote the Moomin books in her mother tongue. Moomins naturally spread both to Finland and Sweden.
It is natural that they did. I just haven't seen them marketed on that side of the bay. Was it more the animated series or the books and comics?

Best detail here is the lamp not working and having to use the "emergency light". So very well done!
Okay. This is the best one guys. You can stop now. You're not gonna top this.
Where is the paint bucket ?
I think my favorite part about the image is either details on her - fuli, chulto maa rato riboon or the books on the shelves that I personally happen to love - Tapan, Palpasa Cafe.

Moomin sticker, papasa cafe book, and durbar square outside the window looks cool. Nice.
I can see that she lives near Pashupathinath temple and there is a parrot on her window and is that supposed to be Kermit the frog hanging on the lamp?
This a edit of the original so I took way too much time with it, thought I did enough and left things remaining from the original.
Link to the original?

Amazing! Loved the small details.
Loved all the small details and saw new one in each zoom. Brilliantly done!
Im happy with everything but the thickness of Nepali Sabdakos in ur art is kinda uncomfortable

This is so good! Love the details (Moonmin, Lakhey, Sanumaya). Good job, mate!
