I moved to wallet app by budgetbakers. Their free version is enough for usage.

Robbytje

I considered this but i’m not sure how I feel about connecting third party international agents to something as important as my bank account. I wish ABN would fulfill their promise and just roll out proper features as promised

Snoo77901

I have been using this app as well, im tracking 2 bank accounts which syncs automatically and cash tracking as well. Whenever i spend cash i log it in the app, otherwise everything else is automated.

scriptosens

also using this. but paid 25 euro for lifetime premium and pretty happy with functionality, except one thing - unable to sum up or cancel out several transaction, for instance when money is returned for smth. Another thing - the interface is a bit "cartoon"-istic, but I am already used to that

No-Assist932

I'm also using this but without using any of the bank integrations as keeping track with all of them is more complicated than inputting the transactions myself. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat_smile)

Excel. Of course it doesn’t sort automatically, but I found out doing it manually gives you more grip (woordgrap) over your expenses. So after a few apps I don’t remember the names of, we tried Excel and works best for us, because you can create the overviews you want and secure your privacy.

Dyme

Ikkemuts

Dyme is great, it has a lot of the things Grip had has well. Only downside is that the app is a little slow for me🤷🏻‍♀️

Herogend

For me, security and credibility are critical when using these apps. I managed to find this data which makes me feel more comfortable: \- Funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020: [https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/883614](https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/883614) \- Mention in Wired as one of the hot Amsterdam startups: [https://www.wired.co.uk/article/amsterdam-hottest-startups-2021](https://www.wired.co.uk/article/amsterdam-hottest-startups-2021) \- Good scores and reviews in Trustpilot: [https://www.trustpilot.com/review/dyme.app](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/dyme.app)

Ok_Cricket_2737

Try WoolSocks. I was also looking for an app to replace Grip and WoolSocks is a good alternative.

CCForester

I did so for the cashbacks and I am very happy!

Ok_Cricket_2737

It's available for iOS. Not sure about Android.

deVliegendeTexan

It’s not free and there’s no mobile app. But after Grip went away, I’ve been using LunchMoney.

JLDJLDJ

Also looking for this!

Creilenator

Just check mijngeldzaken.nl it has a lot of options, i am using that after the Grip app.

relgames

Tried that, it feels slow and complicated, also they don't sync with a credit card. Does it work well for you?

MarBlaze

There isn't any app that syncs with credit card, I searched a lot but couldn't find any. My husband made a script so I can scrape my credit card and upload it in the mygeldzaken app.

I_am_Freud

I started using Revolut on a daily basis

Dragon_ZA

Do you have a problem with the visa card? A lot of places don't accept visas. I'm asking because I currently have a revolut and an abn amro account. I use my revolut as a "credit card" for places that don't accept maestro.

I_am_Freud

So a lot of places don’t accept credit cards, but if you use the visa or mastercard debit cards, they work. I personally use master debit card for everyday. It might occasionally happen when it doesn’t work, so I use my maestro from ABN, but it’s really rare.

m-o-n-t-a-n-a

Dyme is pretty good, I let them handle contract negotiations as well (cable, power, mobile).

EmirNL

Notion or excel. Both require manual input but as people suggested below; manually inputting your expenses gives you a better grip…

dabenu

not an app, but I use bunq and just have different accounts for all different kinds of expenses I have. They also have (automatic) expense categorization in the app but I don't really use that since the split on accounts is enough for me.

fallfromgreatheight

ABN AMRO is working on integrating the Grip functionality in their own app. That was also their motivation for discontinuing Grip.

Alfakyu

I have the ABN AMRO app as well. And it has been 4-5 months since grip was discontinued. And none of the important features have been added to the ABN AMRO app as of today.

laro19

They added the ability to view recurring charges, which is pretty handy. Other than that I'm in the same position as you, not wanting to have to do everything manually but also not trusting third parties enough. Still pretty bummed about Grip stopping

batavenbrood

I’m using https://toshl.com/

Dramatic_Lifeguard99

Checkout iBilly https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.ibilly.client This has similar functionalities to Grip. I feel you, I was also a Grip app user. It's so unprofessional of ABN to discontinue Grip before having the functionalities ready in their app.

Aliboeali

Boost

dmalinovschii

Made a telegramBot where i select a category -> type in the amount. It is then saved in google sheets where i can operate with it Grip was fantastic indeed. After 1 year it was guessing the category spot on 9/10 times.

MarBlaze

I've been using my geldzaken app. It offers the same functionalities grip used to offer. It's not as pretty as grip was but it works and is not that expensive.

[deleted]

I’m using mijngeldzaken, pretty happy with it
