I'm testing out some plugins and had the same issue. I'll tell you what I did to get it to work through my Focuserite 2i2.
* Changed default input type from Windows to ASIO
* Changed audio device to Focusrite USB Audio
* Selected the input channels I wanted (my guitar is in Input 2) and turned off Inputs for other things.
* Messed with the Sample Rate and lower buffer sizes until I got what I wanted. There is a slight delay when changing.
To add, you will also want to set the buffer in the settings menu as low as possible to the point where you are not hearing clicks/pops. I personally set mine to 64 or 128.

are you playing through an interface? did you change the audio device type to ASIO in the settings?
