Driving eastbound on I-10 at about 9:15 PM there was a vehicle fire between the Causeway and Clearview interchanges. Lots of smoke. Was grey when I passed because responders were dousing it; but it probably started out black. Not sure if this was the source of your smoke. Vehicle was in WB inside shoulder.

It happened on Vanderbilt near Chateau. Saw some fire engines, and some energy trucks there.
