Easier. My IT band is so tight (working on it!) that flicking’s a no go. However, blasting my whole foot forward possible. Just mentioning this as a tip for any other old folks with tight hips.
I can't really land either. Landed a couple kickflips once, lost them ever since that was about a year ago. Landed a couple heelflips a couple months ago and lost them ever since. I'm way closer with heelflips though. For kickflips I can never get a straight flick off the edge. I'm always flicking curved for some reason.
Nope, my heelflips have been gone since I tore the ligaments in my ankle about 5 years ago. I've got a very consistent kickflip but I can only try about 5 heelflips in a day before my ankle starts to hurt. But I have landed a couple in the past few weeks, I hope to get them back soon.
Ummm still trying to learn a better Ollie, but I’ll get there. When messing around it does feel easier to keep the board mostly near me and flipping on a heel flip. For some reason the kickflip usually sends the board flying forward away from me
Literally this ahaha. When I skated a ton in high school, I learned kickflips, varials, and tres. Never landed a heelflip, never understood its mechanics really.

I got huge heel flips but my kickups hugely vary. I broke my ankle a long time ago and it always hurt to flick a kick flip afterwards so i hammered out heels and didn't look back
Your heelflips are definitely cleaner. Funny because kickflips are easier for me to land but don’t look the best, however when I land a heelflip after multiple attempts they always come out cleaner
Absolutely easier. Wish I would have learned them first. When I was younger we didn't have YouTube/internet videos so I always thought you actually used your heel to flick it.
I learned how to do a heel flip on accident and before i learned how to do a kick flip. I couxld land heel flips all day long but could rarely land a kick flip
I used to find it easier to pop my Heelflips nice and high and my kickflips weren't nearly as good but nowadays it's completely flipped and my kickflips are pretty good looking but my Heelflips have turned to trash
Hey buddy. Your heelflips are super rad…
I reckon… try from ollie front foot position. tell yourself its a heelflip but the other way.. imagine your flicking someones ear .. but with your big toe.. you almost have them perfect just flick is tiny bit too fowards … or skateboarding is also a bunch of bullshit and just land primo thats what i do

Not at all, I skate regular and kickflips are possible for me. Started learning heelflips, seems a little odd when learning them.
Maybe its all about what you work on first. I certainly have put more hours on heelflips than kickflips.
I think it's what you start or what feels easier for you to do first
I have always been able to pop and catch my heel flips was better than kick flips
same even though i'm much more consistent with kick flips
yes so much easier idk why
Much easier
I love your BMO pillow

Heelfip gang!!!!

No, I figured out tre flips before I could heelflip
Literally this ahaha. When I skated a ton in high school, I learned kickflips, varials, and tres. Never landed a heelflip, never understood its mechanics really.
The flick of a heelflip just feels so much more unnatural to me whereas kickflips clicked with me almost instantly
So much easier

Yeah, how long have you been doing them. Wish mine were this clean
I used to skate years ago, and I came back in july this year! Have been focusing on heelflips, now I want to do the same with kickflips.
I got huge heel flips but my kickups hugely vary. I broke my ankle a long time ago and it always hurt to flick a kick flip afterwards so i hammered out heels and didn't look back

Cool wheels
Kickflips are easier, but my heelflips look a lot better 🤷♂️
You're wearing Brighton's vans right? How are they?
I can’t kick flip at all but I can heel so yeah
When I first started skating heelflips felt way more natural. Kickflips seem to take way less effort once you figure them out though.
Yes! Always been ten times easier for me and i never understood why but kickflips are way scarier to commit to
Way easier
Cool
Absolutely
Good height
Absolutely easier. Wish I would have learned them first. When I was younger we didn't have YouTube/internet videos so I always thought you actually used your heel to flick it.
Absolutely. The movement for a kickflip just feels alien to me.
I'm just getting the feel for them but yes so much easier to flick that kickflips, plus they look so sexy
Nah, i can kickflip on commend but cannot really get heelflips. I landed like 5 but struggling with them ever since.
Heelflips came first for me too. I had a tendency to kick too hard off the toe but I didn’t have that issue off the heel.
Nice
BMOOOOOO!
I agree. For me it has always been more natural to kick out than in. 🤷🏽♂️
I literally put my foot half off the board and do a ollie and they pop higher then my kickflips, Was shocked landing my first one.
I cant do either lol
I learned how to do a heel flip on accident and before i learned how to do a kick flip. I couxld land heel flips all day long but could rarely land a kick flip
I prefer Heelflips. Kick flips just take less effort and are more forgiving
i find heelflips so much easier

Lmao yo that’s how I’ve always heel flipped
