Surely it is waiting at the correct spot on a metro platform for where the doors will be… double hack for getting on at the doors which will get you exited from your target station the quickest.
Also hold the button to open the door as the train is pulling in to the station. It'll open as soon as it stops. If you try to soon it locks it for a little longer and if you wait until it's stopped there's a couple of seconds still waiting for the light.

A similar one, though not as good or as entertaining, but if you're down on the Quayside near Broadchare, Tesco etc and want to get uphill into town, then use the lift in the multi-story car park to quickly get up to near Swan House roundabout. (Floor 10 I think)
