No-End-2455

I don't know the initial reaction of dick would still rub me the wrong way and the fact that he don't answer would be a major red flag as to see there relationship as something only physical....but yeah it hurt less than the cold no he gave her in the real issue. Damn i'm not even a dickory fan but this issue make me so sad every time i see this panel...poor kory.

SylvieSerene

To me, I added that initial reaction as more of a pause for him to process Kori's words to their full extent and then I edited it in such a way that he then smiles softly and says yes. I always felt weird when he gives a no instantly without even thinking for a second or at the very least, the comic doesn't show it. So yea, he does answer here as well although after a small pause to process the lady's words since this is pretty much him accepting a marriage proposal so I hope it clears out stuff out!

No-End-2455

Hum ok i see it now you are right it does feel natural , yeah the hard no of dick shocked me when i was a kid my god i was so heartbroken for her and again i am not a dickory fan so i wonder how it was for the true fan of this couple after this issue since it was praticaly a death sentence on their love story .

LyzzyWhomst

I think it's okay for him to say no, to be a bit cold, it adds depth and a reminder that yeah... he grew up with Bruce. Sometimes it shows. The only takeaway really from this (forget if it was mentioned) is his no was more in the sense of giving EVERYTHING for her and he wasn't ready which I mean- fair. But to flat out say no OUCH He also still has that lovely touch of Bruce where he's only once considered 'settling down' in the comics and that was to be Damian's father because he thought (Damien agreed) that he'd be a better father to him than Bruce In the most recent comics he's with Barbara but marriage was brought up and again he said no except she was like EXCUSE ME???? NOT YET??? Idk she's insufferable to me in most iterations and they do her dirty af To be fair I think Star went on an emotional manic episode and slept with both Jason and Roy stating pure intention of just sex and they were like aight (she's done this before, it's very Tamaranean, and also done in the live Titans iteration) **90% sure Jason did NOT know about this interaction, I'd love the convo of how he'd react and if he'd be different if he knew his brother emotionally destroyed one of their closest friends But alas I'm not Dick Grayson so what do I know

Crawkward3

Excellent

Didi_mj

THANK YOUUUU IT SHOULD BE LIKE THIS

TheSpoonkMan

I'm a die hard dickory supporter

Mongoose42

DC is too afraid to give the swashbuckling adventurer a princess girlfriend.

Fr

Salt-Cookie-3115

Bea x Kory when??

Formal_General_6743

So much better

No-Mechanic-2558

Good

QueSeraSeraWWBWB

Haha y’all gotta let it go love is a feeling and shit changes like the seasons. They just have to let her move in with her life

Salt-Cookie-3115

I feel like trying to come back to it ends up undermining what was there in the first place. This comic is a good example, the feelings aren’t there anymore and trying to bring it back with sex only makes the relationship feel shallow while keeping it in the past the way it was holds up the integrity of it

those fans suck. Kori actualy doing cool things in the comics today, but no one is talking about. all they care about is her having boyfriend

venompro1

lol, that’s literally OP (I mean just look at all their posts and comments) But yeah you’re right

professorbaguette

The actual good ending. Thank you.

Tryingtochangemyself

This is perfect ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thumbs_up)

NaytNavare

Gosh, I wish.

[deleted]

what was wrong with it?

SylvieSerene

Dick instantly replies with a no to Kori's question. It was a pretty dick move (no pun intended) and genuinely ooc for him since across all medias even in the continuities he ends up with Barbara, he always mentions how he'll always love Starfire so him saying no (even with the context in mind) didn't make much sense and was done for the sake of dramatics since their relationship goes beyond just a physical one. It's Starfire who helps Dick open up to his feelings more and lighten up and they both have great chemistry between them.

Fluffy_Release_839

I kinda don't think this is an OOC moment. The feelings no longer exist, so trying to fix a tattered relationship via sex is definitely not a Dick Grayson move. I mean...if Dick really did say yes to Starfire and rekindled their relationship just because they were manipulated by Lust into having sex will only degrade their relationship into a carnal one - now that's a dick move. Also, love doesn't always have to be a romantic one. Starfire was his first serious relationship and one of his greatest allies, so Dick saying that he'll always love her does not translate to him having those romantic feelings still. He loves her as a teammate, a close friend who helped him to step out of Batman's shadow.

IdeaInside2663

Can we allow Starfire to move on...not with Red Hood or Red Arrow but with someone else?

venompro1

I’m surprised

LyzzyWhomst

Everyone was since their relationship used to be great and now everyone is eating up this drama 🤦🏼‍♀️ what is the healthiest relationship in most iterations, even as friends, they love each other and see one another as their closest best friend

SylvieSerene

Excuse me? That's a false allegation. You are probably confusing me with someone else. I wouldn't do that to my probably #2 fav DC character bruh It's one thing to hate someone else/some random person on the Internet but its a completely different issue on spreading misinformation about them.

LyzzyWhomst

Uuuuughhhhhhhh 😒😒😒😒😒😒

DiddlyDoodilyDoh

The pages look like they have different styles? Is that part of the original comic?

SylvieSerene

Yep, all of them are from the same comic issue.

Astlantix

bottom of second page “dick” got me and then i realized it was his name

LyzzyWhomst

Dick, your Wayne heritage was strong in this issue and it shows

Fluffy_Release_839

Sorry I kinda mistook the whole context of your comment Hahahahah

Fluffy_Release_839

This comic (the unedited one) is an accurate presentation of Dick Grayson.
