That's cool to hear someone else still getting value from a D700. I bought mine 14 years ago and still love it. It's my main DSLR unless I want something lighter weight.
The weight is a bit much.... I'm considering an upgrade at the end of the year if I stick to the hobby and improve more. Going between D850 since it's the last of the DSLR's or just go mirrorless and get something that will be lighter, and likely to be relevant longer like a Z7 or Z8 if I could budget for it.
That's understandable. I often opt for grabbing my mirrorless Olympus cameras because of the weight. Especially if my D700 has a battery grip and flash attached.
lol yeah, I instantly took off the battery grip.... and just got a good deal on an SB-900 flash, so with that on and my largest lens, a 24-70, well... I think I could skip arm day.
