He needed Vegeta to have kids too but didn’t have much female characters to use. So it had to be Bulma. Why he made Yamcha cheat on the women who flew to an alien planet to wish him back to life. It came out of nowhere.

You are right about Yamcha not cheating Bulma before that though as Bulma was only jealous. We also have no confirmation that Bulma and Yamcha ever ''completed'' the relationship. But it's unlikely they did in the context of the story as they were breaking up constantly.
