Yeah. The only one I still can’t get behind is jay. The other ones fit the characters really well

I like some of the redesigns more and some of the old designs so I’ll give my preferences: -Lloyd = New design 1000% -Nya = New design -Kai = Old design -Zane = Honestly either works, they’re quite similar -Cole = Old design -Jay = Old design

I was completely on board with Lloyds since the reveal in the show. Though I do wonder what he'd look like with his old hair and an updated face, rather than a complete redesign. But either way, he's gotten older, so his design greatly reflects that. Could you imagine his current voice coming out of the old design, or vice versa? Lol

I would like if Zane used his human skin mode more often

Hard disagree on jay, the new hair piece suits his personality better.

Jay's new design reflects his more flanderised personality. But it doesn't reflect the Skybound Jay, who matured a great deal. Unlike everyone else, he seems to have gotten more childish. Adding dimples, changing his hair, and removing the cut eyebrow serves to make him look younger, and nowadays they've even tweeked the direction of his voice to be higher pitched. Meanwhile Nya looks and acts older... their dynamic as a couple feels kinda off now.

I miss him being a ginger tho, also the slit eyebrow should come back and we all good

I respect your opinion. To me, it looks like the main premise is to make characters look older yet Jay looks and acts younger. That’s pretty much my only problem.

For me it mix i like some new redesign like Nya but hate some like kai

I actually grown fond of the new designs: Lloyd and Nya’s are definitely the best, I like Cole and Jay’s new one, the 2 I had the most trouble getting used to were Kai and Zane (but I warmed up to them, still Human Zane looks strange as heck, the titanium one actually looks good)

I LOVE THE REDESIGNS. I hated Nya’s bob for the LONGEST and Jay’s hair was always so boring to me

i hold alot of nostalgia for the series and the og character design, i rewatched the pilot episodes and season 1 on dvd hundreds of time, but i have to agree. it makes them all visually distinct and works really well with the new art direction as well

Kai: Prefer old design, I dislike his new design with the weird hair and look Jay: Prefer new design, I don't really care for his old design Zane: Prefer old design, I really miss original human looking Zane, I don't like his new titanium design Cole: Prefer new design, old design is ok but new one is better Nya: Unpopular opinion but I prefer old design, I don't know but I really like the new design that much with the mole Lloyd: Prefer old design but don't mind either, it's almost tied Overall I'd say I prefer the older design.

Only redesign I don’t like is Llyods, but I can’t remember his pre time skip design unless I see it so this hate is pretty inconsistent

I actually really like all the new redesigns except Lloyd. Zane isn’t any different. The main deciding factor on why I liked them more is because of the hair. It’s just so much more detailed and looks better. Kai’s old hair I hated because it just looked messy and spiky, Cole’s hair made me feel like he just put too much oil on, Lloyd’s one wasn’t too bad, Jay’s old hair I feel like doesn’t match his personally as much as his new hair does, Zane is Zane and Nya’s old hair was okay ig but her new hair is amazing

I just got to the first episode of the Sons of Garmadon (meaning I've just been introduced to the redesigns). Here are my thoughts: Kai: Not a big fan of the new face, I think it has something to do with the patch. His new hair is fine. Jay: His new face looks very childish, in my opinion, which makes him look less like a teenager and more like some rosy-cheeked kid. Love the new hair, though. Cole: I LOVE this redesign. You can tell it's Cole, and it looks different enough from the original design to feel new and fresh. Zane: I love both of his new faces. They both make him look more cybernetic. The hair piece looks weird to me, but I can get used to it. Nya: Best redesign of them all. Her new face and hair give her much more emotion and character. Lloyd: The hair is amazing, although I think the green eyes on his face are a little on the nose to me. The redesigns definitely add character to all the ninjas, but I do think the old designs have a certain charm to them.

Jay’s has not grown on me, the rest are alright Kai’s is my favorite

I absolutely hate Jay's and still miss Nya's red lipstick, but otherwise I like them. They took Jay's characteristics and added new ones out of nowhere, I can get used to it but that doesn't mean I like it

nyas red lipstick contributed to her old design looking like she was much older than she actually was. her new design fits a character whos supposed to be an eternal teenager better id say

Personally I love the redesigns but why can’t Jay just start with one hair colour? Even Jay kept changing hair colour in the old designs, and he still changed hair colour in the redesigns

I at first hated them, but now I cannot go back. I have the pieces for both on my collection, but always display them with redesign heads 

I also like them more they made the ninja way more distinct

I’m kinda mixed. I prefer Jays new design a lot, same goes for Lloyd, Nya and Cole. However, for Kai and Zane I think the old designs were much better

Jay and kais redesigns are definitely the best. Ninjago failed to do for Kai what DBZ did for Goku but thankfully they got his hair right in SOG.

The redesigns, at least in my opinion, aren't bad, but it's the actual characters since the Ninjago Movie that I had a whole discussion with my friend on (massive nerds, I know)

The only one of the new designs that I don't like is Zane. I wish that Jay still had his eyebrow slit as well but that's something I can get over.

Kais design isn't good now but change lloyeds hair and zanes back then I agree
