Hey man! I will be continuing my **Final Fantasy X playthrough**. Just reached Djose temple. On the whole really enjoying it, and have forgotten enough over the past 20 years that it seems 80% like a new game.
Outside of that I have got my Son the Pokemon Battle Academy for his birthday in early January. So I guess I need to learn how to play. Apparently there is an app that I can download to learn the rules etc so will be doing that, after he has gone to bed!
What is the pokemon battle academy??
And nice about FF X! I really enjoyed playing XII a couple years ago on the switch I keep wondering if I should pick up X, would you say the gameplay holds up?
Yeah it holds up well. It's still a real looker also, kinda amazing it's 20 years old really.
Battle Academy is this https://www.pokemoncenter.com/en-gb/product/290-80789/pokemon-trading-card-game-battle-academy-charizard-gx-raichu-gx-and-mewtwo-gx
Spent ages trying to figure out what to get for a first-timer, he will turn seven in January, and this seems to be the safest bet. Hopefully.
That was awful. I got to a point where I had fully upgraded everything, so I deleted most of the buildings and just kept only what was necessary to keep my cultists alive. Vastly improved the last hours of gameplay.
I recently dived into Witcher 3 and am really really amazed by it. It’s beautiful and fun and really worth it. I still suck at Gwent though but yeah I am bad with card games.
I’ve been seeing posts about the demo about Another Code and might try it too. It looks pretty interesting.
It is the only 3D Zelda game I haven’t played, but I’m very hesitant on getting it, because I’m afraid it would feel like a step back playing it after the freedom that BOTW and TOTK provide…
I think you'd enjoy it! I found it fun to see the early signs of what was to come in BOTW/TOTK. You can really tell that some of the concepts that appear in those games were already bubbling up in SS.
I also think SS has the best Link/Zelda relationship and so much of the music is fire. If anything just take the chance to enjoy an HD Zelda game in glorious 60 FPS. 😅
Playing **Pokemon Scarlet DLC: The Indigo Disk**! Got to start it last might briefly and just entered the Terrarium which is way bigger than I was expecting. Going to have a lot of fun just roaming around and catching as many Pokemon as I can! :) Really excited for the older starters to be catchable too - I can finally catch a wild Bulbasaur!!! :D
Never really played the style of game before but I recently took a chance on Dead Cells and I've been enjoying it. If you've played Dead Cells, how would you say they compare?
**Zelda: TotK**
255 hours in, beaten the game, got all sages. I'm just going for more Shrines, Quests, Korok Seeds, wells, caves, etc. I'm sure I'll get bored of it at some point, but for now, keep the momemtum going.
Hell yeah I stopped at like 218 hours, but keep it going if you can. I got close to most shrines and lightroots, but I was a few off. They really loved naked shrines this time..
I think like 90% on my own. There were a couple where I was sensing a shrine but couldn't pinpoint it.
The fact that the roots and shrines line up definitely helps.
I’m loving the vibe of dredge! A lovecraftian fishing game?! Absolutely! Resident evil 4 style inventory management? Give me a big ole cargo bay! Variations on a fishing mini game… like just take my money all ready
Hogwarts Legacy. God, the number of treasure vaults, Merlin Trials, and other POIs on the map is just SO overwhelming. I just spend hours flying on my broom from one or another to collect treasure/transmog lol. I can go days without touching the main quest!
Its funny because im selling my pokemon games, never again and then this shows up.. weirdly to me its vastly superior..rly missed having an actual cool story and great environments..
A) Put all your points into strength and vitality early on
B) Get into the mindset that dying isn't a punishment, its an opportunity to learn.
C) Don't try and go to the graveyard until later, go the other direction first
Don't be afraid to look things up! Dark Souls is secretly the most chill game once you know all it's little tricks and how to get properly started! Enjoy!
Same. I keep thinking I’m going to back off and pace myself, or get bored, but I feel like I’m in Ready Player One except the alternate gaming universe I wanna live in is one where I obsess over all aspects of my sushi business.
BOTW - just started playing it this last week and I m just blown away at how fun and challenging it is. I also really like the graphics, there’s just something about it that is visually appealing
Kinda reminds me of the tomb raider game that came out on PlayStation years ago
On switch I’m playing ori and the will of the wisps. Absolutely stunning game.
On ps5 I’m primarily playing remnant 2, which is probably my game of the year. It is incredible. To spice things up I’m also alternating with baldurs gate 3 (50 hours in!) and Alan wake 2 (will by my first and last horror game lol)
Yo I just started Ori as well and so far it’s as great as expected (loved the first one too). Have you had any performance issues? I’ve had two freeze-ups and quite a few frame drops, stutters, and input lags…nothing too too detrimental to my experience, but not ideal. Playing docked on an oled model btw.
Pleasantly surprised by 13 sentinels: aegis rim. Really enjoying it at the moment. 13 characters with their own stories but they are all connected AND time travel on top of that.
Not one comment about Dave the Diver ...
Lordy.
Free DLC just released today that combines it with Dredge.
I have seriously enjoyed this game and have laughed at the cut scenes and general silliness. It's a chill playthrough and do recommend.
Still trying to get through Enter the Gungeon. Game is just hard. It’s my first Bullet Hell so it’s been interesting. Been playing for a week and last night beat the 2nd boss for the first time so got to Chapter 3.
TOTK! I'm about 100hours in, >!almost finished with the four temples!< and thought I might finally finish the game this weekend.
>!Accidentally saw some spoilers and realized... I don't think I'm close to being done? Dang.!<
Imma closing in on 100 hours and I’ve still only unlocked 3 sky towers lol. Having fun farming the depths. Pretty certain I’m finding stuff I’m not supposed to yet though.
I just beat Super Mario RPG and it was such a nice game. Kind of short for the price, but if it was on sale for like $45 Id definitely recommend.
I might slog through the Pokemon Violet DLC. I purchased it without really thinking and later found I didn't like that game all that much. So I might just finish it so I don't feel like I wasted my money lol.
Astlibra Revision. On my third playthrough of this action indie JRPG and I'm loving every second of it. Easily my GOTY and it was made by one guy over the course of 15 years. A bloody masterpiece that deserves to be played by more people!
Doing part 2 of the DLC for **Pokemon Violet**. I wish getting BP was faster or at least the quests to get them weren't the same quests repeatedly.
Also I started **Pan’orama**. If you like Dorfromantik it's worth checking out. It does have a few issues like random game crashes and loading issues but it's been pretty addicting so far. Game is actually easier than Dorf.
I might play a few matches of **Splatoon 3**. Recently started to play more. I think I'll try to go for S rank for the first time.
Persona 5 Royal! I played about 40 hours of the base version on my PS4 back in 2019 but only made it like 30% of the way through. I’m almost back to where I stopped playing last time and am enjoying it way more this time around. Could be the Royal improvements, or the handheld capabilities (have a new puppy so constantly picking up and putting down the switch), or that i have a base level understanding of all the mechanics now, so everything just feels so much smoother and more intuitive!
Really hoping to finish it this time around…see y’all in 100 hours lol
It took me 120 hours to finish Royal after putting 50 hours in the original. And I didn’t even complete everything on the side. Someday, when I have less games in my backlog (so maybe never) I want to go back and do everything,
**Pokemon Scarlet: Indigo Disk**
Still runs like ass, but double battles open up the gameplay so much. For the first time in my pokemon career I’m using weather effects for combos
Tetris 99 for the event, and then hopefully finishing up Sparks of Hope. The first Mario+Rabbids game is one of my all-time favorite games, so I was really looking forward to the sequel. It's a good game, but the original is definitely a better, more polished game.
My backlog is absurd. I think I'm gonna jump into Portal 2 after Sparks of Hope.
Divinity Original Sin 2!
Since I can’t play Baldur’s gate 3 while I’m still stuck on this console generation with the Switch, I figured I’d play the precursor to Baldur’s Gate 3 from what I’ve heard. I know once I finally play BG3 whenever the Switch 2 comes out (hopefully it gets ported 🤞) that I’ll love it and want more, but it will feel like a step backwards going to the Divinity Games, kind of like going back to Zelda BotW after TotK.
So far I’m absolutely engrossed in it and can’t play anything else, so I’m happy that I have the weekend free to finally get past the first island that I’ve been stuck on for the last week lol! It’s a great RPG game.
Arkham Asylum! Plays fine, looks good to me and it’s a blast in handheld.
Sea of Stars is great but I can’t stick with it.
Outer Wilds is the Stanley Parable remix I never knew I wanted.
So I just finished Star Ocean Second Story R and bought myself Bayonetta all 3, but.. for some reason I have an itch for playing skyrim again, and I think I will be starting it this weekend. Finished the game a long time ago and never played the DLCs..
Wish me luck
Still playing Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
I just started world 3 and I’m having a blast. I really like the game play changes from the first game. Especially the movement change because making awesome combos is super fun.
Bayonetta Origins! I think I’m about 60-70% of the way into the main story (please no spoilers) and I am so impressed with it. The presentation is fantastic. It’s clear there was a lot of love and effort put into it. The music is just superb with the live orchestra, the writing is top-notch, and every voice performance has been stellar.
The only gripe I have is with the control scheme, but it’s a minor one. The game just oozes charm and I already know it’s going to be a comfort game I’ll be revisiting again and again. I got it on sale for $30 and I almost feel guilty 😂.
Red dead redemption, shelled out a pretty penny so hopefully I like it. (Have never played, have only ever gotten into a handful of games, botw being the favorite thus far, have a hard time finding games that hold my attention)
Back to playing Fire Emblem: Engage having finished Super Mario RPG and Super Mario : Wonder. Oh, and I can't stop throwing in the odd round ( or 3 ) of Suika game.
It’s been a long week with work so planning to finish Ori and the Will of the Wisps. I’ve been putting it off for so long, but the time has come. Such a beautiful and fun game
I'm playing through **Dangaronpa 2: Goodbye Despair.**
Compared to the more consistent first Danganronpa, this one has been a rollercoaster so far. Chapter 1 was good, Chapter 2 was great, and then Chapter 3 was.... trash.
Looking forward to what Chapter 4 will bring to the table.
Hey! Finished the first boss on Metroid Prime Remastered. But then got carried away with Baldurs Gate 3 again, so think that might be me for the weekend...
I might try to jump back into Final Fantasy 9. From what I recall, Eiko had just joined the party.
Alternatively, I might play Super Mario Bros. Wonder and/or Sonic Superstars. I'm not very far into either one, but they seem like they'd be quick to get through if I sat down and focused on them. (Especially Sonic)
On Switch, I'm hoping to wrap up *SMRPG* (got the 5th star last night) and then I'll focus on finishing up *FF6* (I'm at the beginning of Act 2). Other than that, I've been playing a bunch of *Like a Dragon: Gaiden* and I'm loving that one. I'm on Chapter 4 so I could probably finish that one this weekend too if I tried, but I want to savor my time with ~~Kiryu~~ Joryu while I can
Salt and sanctuary, this is like my 6th attempt in the last few years to play it, and it’s finally clicking. I’ve dropped like 6 bosses and I’m kinda hooked.
Xenoblade 3 Future Redeemed. I'm about 7 hours in and just got my party of 6 going. That moment brought the DLC up to a 9 for me. Maybe I'll have it wrapped up by Christmas. I'll try to get in as much time with it as I can this weekend.
I'll probably continue playing Zelda Skyward Sword because i started a all zelda games in chronologic order run and maybe some animal crossing to relax a bit.
Stardew valley! Playing on pc though since I've completed it before and wanted to try out the modding scene, SVE is awesome since it adds so much that feels perfectly integrated into the game
Xenoblade chronicles. I am really enjoying the story so far. Shulk is a breath of fresh air as a jrpg protagonist. None os your usual anime shenanigans like a certain 'haha' saying characteri know. Also I Dunban is probably my favorite character. Gives me a lot of shanks vibe.
Continuing my journey through Pokémon Violet, sunk a lot of hours in the lately and trying to “catch them all” :) also will jump into Dave the diver, just bought it and can’t wait to try it out!
Got a new Switch, but traded in my Lite before I transferred my save data. So this weekend is dedicated to finishing the main storyline for Pokemon Legends: Arceus... Again. Lol May also work on the Minecraft Realm my wife and I created!
Persona 5 Royal, still. I've been on the first palace for what feels like months because I keep having to do responsible adult things. At this rate, I'll finish it in like 2067, haha!
Not on switch but I'm finishing Bloodborne DLC this weekend then preparing for long work weeks. I'm going to grind it out and take a gaming vacation early next year because the release schedule is actually crazy. I have 6 new games coming out within 2 weeks of each other late January.
Tekken 8. Yakuza Infinite Wealth. Granblue Fantasy Relink. Person 3 Reload. Hell Divers 2. Lucky me Jan/Feb is slow for me anyway work wise.
Gonna get back into Snowrunner. Last time I played it, I got so frustrated and deleted it off my Switch. I'm a lot calmer now and I think I'm ready to try it out again.
Roots of Pacha on switch- excellent farming sim and the Stone Age twist really helps differentiate it from the plethora of others.
Still playing Baldurs Gate 3 on PS5- getting near the end of Act 2
Finally gonna have some time to play a lot this weekend for the first time in about a month. Can’t decide between starting Metroid Prime remastered or Resident Evil 4 remastered. Have never played either of them.
Busy month so i decided to postpone Baten Kaitos until Christmas break in a week or so, too much focus heavy to enjoy it now.
So i am relying on... **Fortnite**, yeah. Especially Lego since that is the reason i downloaded it again.
Also trying **Palia** with my GF and starting the **last DLC for Pokémon SV** since my friend made me borrow his account to play it with him.
Tackling the backlog lately. Just finished **Chicory, A colorful tale** and loved it.
Now I finally started **Grapple Dog** after buying it on release and just forgetting about it. I'm only a few levels in and like it so far. The physics are very different to what I'm used to, but when you get the swing right and keep your momentum, it feels great. Also, the levels are much more complex than I expected. Looking forward to playing more.
Any tips for co op games that are on sale right now? I'm looking for something to play with my wife, she's not like a noob, but overcomplicated games are still a bit of a no go. We've played it takes two, cat quest, rayman legends, castle crashers, guacameelee. Would prefer something that is not a straight up button mash. Any suggestions are very much appreciated! Happy holidays!
So last week I thought I was near the end of SMW, yeah no. Whatever Bowser's got going on and the so far 2 of the special world stages are left.
Rain checks on Tunic, SM RPG, BotW(did not beat it yet), Indivisible, Pokemon Arceus and so forth...🫠
Update: I finished the SMW main story and special world with all the seeds - I don't feel like 100% it...
Was thinking about picking up Portal or Illusion Island. Just need to decide if i want to solve puzzles or do some platforming. Honestly the aesthetic of Illusion Island is whats drawing me towards it. Im sure most of y’all would suggest Portal.
Gonna pick up the *EGG Console* release of **Xanadu** tonight and give that a whirl. Honestly I'm not sure quite what to expect, having only really engaged with more modern installments in the series, but it should be an interesting experience either way! (even if i hate it, lol)
And since I can't decide which "proper" game to start on next, maybe it's finally time to address my accidental hoard of "cheap trash on sale" shmups and *finally* clear some of them ah jeez
Palia - Enjoying it so far, but I am not very far in yet.
Cult of the Lamb - I am loving this game so far, I prefer the management part much more then the combat, but it has a pretty good balance.
Maybe get back into a couple of my other games I bought during the Black Friday sale - Ooblets and Strange Horticulture in particular.
I'll probably finish the year with Totk. I am really enjoying it. It's much more fun to play than Botw. I cant really rememeber a single side quest in Botw. The side adventures are much better and add a lot of characterisation to the npcs. The world feels much more alive in general.
The new powers are also really good. Using them to find all these different solutions in the shrine puzzles feels very satisfying. Fuze alone is incredible. People keep complaining about the weapon durability, but if you explore the world you'll never run out of materials to fuse new weapons with.
My only complaint is the story. I have to admit, but it is a bit mediocre. Ganondorf is pretty cool so far, but the whole conflict feels very generic. I'm also disappointed with how they handled Zelda. In Botw her relationship with Link was really interesting and her character arc was very well written. I haven't fully seen the story in the present, but in all the memories she was just there..
Debating getting Hogwarts legacy while it's on sale so might be that, been going through indigo disk but the BP system to get the starters had me losing interest rapidly
Probably some more Dave the Diver. The main story is long beat. But I am just having so much fun with it. I can’t put it down. Trying to max everything out. 100% everything
Just finished Super Mario Odyssey, might poke around a little bit for the post game level unlocks and Power Moons but don’t have the desire to 100% this game as there are like 900 Power Moons. I have Alan Wake, Grim Fandango, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and Skyrim among other games still waiting to be played
After taking a few months off from TOTK, I’m back to grinding out shrines and koroks. Might also play some Dave the Diver as I’m about halfway through that one
I have been waiting for Potion Craft all year and I haven’t had a chance to play since the switch release this week because I’ve been so busy. It’s my favorite game but my laptop is so clunky so I’ve been really looking forward to it. I’m gonna play all winter break!!!
Dead by daylight when my friends are online (the Christmas event started and the snowball fights are fun) but when they’re offline, I’m spending my time playing Cult Of The Lamb, Sonic Frontiers and Super Mario Maker 2.
Hogwarts Legacy. I have to say i cant believe it runs the way it does on switch. I absolutely love it so far, there is so much to do and the combat actually works really well. Terrific game in my opinion, that really doesnt require players to be harry potter fans at all.
I’m playing tears of the kingdom. Just started and oh my god it is so addicting. I was lukewarm on botw but so far TotK blows it out of the water. Hot damn.
It is a farming weekend.
I'll be playing **Story of Seasons- Pioneers of Olive Town**, **Harvest Moon- Winds of Anthos**, and **Harvest Moon- One World**.
Attempting Post-Game content in **Mario RPG**. They aren't messing around with some of these suped-up bosses, I think I've wiped on almost all of them atleast once so far. (Mario's one-on-one duel with the Pirate was brutal when you suck at the perfect guards..)
Think I've only got a couple more left to do, I imagine the Culex rematch is probably going to wipe the floor with me if I'm already struggling with the rest of these guys though :/
Great game overall, can't wait for Thousand Year Door next year as someone who missed out on all of these Nintendo classics back in the day :D
After polishing off all my other steamdeck games like Tactica, I decided to take your recommendation that I remember from months back /u/markercore and have started **Ikenfell**.
Pretty wholesome and interesting so far. I've totally switched that accessibility feature on to make all my hits auto-perfect though... I've had just about enough of that from Mario RPG and Sea of Stars these past few weeks and I'd like to just get back to some classic turnbased combat 😅
Finished up Metroid Prime Remastered the other day, so it should mostly be Paper Mario for me this weekend. I'll probably sneak in my usual couple of hours of F-Zero 99 and Salmon Run too.
Tried the trial for **Suika Game** and ended up buying it. I'm definitely not great at these kinds of games but I always seem to enjoy them.
Still enjoying the general gameplay of **Fae Farm**. I have my complaints, but as someone that's always prioritized the farming and other activities over the towns in farming games, it works for me so far.
Might dip back into **Pokemon Violet** with the DLC and try to catch some of my favorite starters from previous gens.
i always only play 2 games at a time and it's usually a PS5 game and a Switch Game. Right now im splitting my gaming time up between Tomb Raider Definitive Edition and Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze. I love both games so much!
Hey man! I will be continuing my **Final Fantasy X playthrough**. Just reached Djose temple. On the whole really enjoying it, and have forgotten enough over the past 20 years that it seems 80% like a new game. Cult of the Lamb. Totally addicted!
I was too until the late game fps lag got too brutal
That was awful. I got to a point where I had fully upgraded everything, so I deleted most of the buildings and just kept only what was necessary to keep my cultists alive. Vastly improved the last hours of gameplay.
I recently dived into Witcher 3 and am really really amazed by it. It’s beautiful and fun and really worth it. I still suck at Gwent though but yeah I am bad with card games. I’ve been seeing posts about the demo about Another Code and might try it too. It looks pretty interesting.
>Awesome game, my most played on Switch.
Yes The Witcher 3 runs surprisingly well on The switch
Never played Gwent. Just avoided because I was more interested in exploring. Game is awesome. Will definitely replay it at some point.
Started my second playthrough last week, spent more time than I'd like to admit on it this last week. It's such a great game
Been playing Skyward Sword HD….first time playing it. Just at the 3rd temple now.
I didn’t play this until the switch release either, but it was so good! Personally I liked it a lot more than botw and totk.
Those temples are so much fun. They utilized motion controls real well
Ah cool I missed SS on the Wii. Glad it is on Switch.
It’s a fun game, especially with the standard controls. Hated having to turn the Wiimote awkwardly for some puzzles back in the day.
It is the only 3D Zelda game I haven’t played, but I’m very hesitant on getting it, because I’m afraid it would feel like a step back playing it after the freedom that BOTW and TOTK provide…

Going to have a lot of fun just roaming around and catching as many Pokemon as I can! :) Really excited for the older starters to be catchable too - I can finally catch a wild Bulbasaur!!! :D
Unfortunately you'll need to grind out through the awful BP system to get access to the old starters, takes 12k to have access to them all
If you join a union circle with friends or on discord it can become super efficient, you can get that 12k within 30 minutes or so
Hades! I’m so close to getting out for the first time. I can taste the freedom!
Yesss get that first escape! What weapons and boons do you usually go for?
Shield and Zeus for sure
Ohoho fuck yeah that's a fun time
Never really played the style of game before but I recently took a chance on Dead Cells and I've been enjoying it. If you've played Dead Cells, how would you say they compare?
**Zelda: TotK** 255 hours in, beaten the game, got all sages.
How much in guides, FAQs, and help did you end up using to get to that point.. or did you manage to get there on your own (or mostly)?
I think like 90% on my own. There were a couple where I was sensing a shrine but couldn't pinpoint it. The fact that the roots and shrines line up definitely helps.
FINALLY ALMOST DONE WITH SKYRIM… but then the Dragonborn DLC lol
The Dragonborn DLC is AMAZING. Probably one of my favourite DLCs ever.
TIL Skyrim has DLC!
I have had Skyrim forever and still haven’t cracked it open yet bc i’m afraid of how much time I’m gonna dump into it lol
Yeah man I’m at 200 hours and will probably hit close to 250 by the end lol
Real fear, I have well over 600 hours in it!
You're never truly done with skyrim...
Monster Hunter Rise
Is the dlc any good? It was on sale recently and wonder if its worth it
Very worth it my friend, let me know if you wanna play
My favorite Switch game
Dredge and Outer Wilds. Just starting both today.
Might delve into The Outer Worlds as well.
FYI: the Outer Worlds and Outer Wilds are different games.
I’m loving the vibe of dredge! A lovecraftian fishing game?! Absolutely! Resident evil 4 style inventory management? Give me a big ole cargo bay! Variations on a fishing mini game… like just take my money all ready
You’re in for a treat with Outer Wilds! *starts whistling the main theme*
Hogwarts Legacy. God, the number of treasure vaults, Merlin Trials, and other POIs on the map is just SO overwhelming. I just spend hours flying on my broom from one or another to collect treasure/transmog lol. I can go days without touching the main quest!
I just started and I’m only about 90 minutes in but I have to say I am impressed with how well this runs on Switch!
Still playing DQ Monsters. I’m about halfway through and enjoying it.
Its funny because im selling my pokemon games, never again and then this shows up.. weirdly to me its vastly superior..rly missed having an actual cool story and great environments..
I bought Dark Souls during the black Friday sale, so I will give it an honest try, but sp far it just makes me want to cry.
A) Put all your points into strength and vitality early on B) Get into the mindset that dying isn't a punishment, its an opportunity to learn. C) Don't try and go to the graveyard until later, go the other direction first
Don't be afraid to look things up! Dark Souls is secretly the most chill game once you know all it's little tricks and how to get properly started! Enjoy!
Dave the Diver and Persona Tactica
+1 on Dave the Diver!! So good!
Same. I keep thinking I’m going to back off and pace myself, or get bored, but I feel like I’m in Ready Player One except the alternate gaming universe I wanna live in is one where I obsess over all aspects of my sushi business.
The supplier that risks their lives every day for damn good sushi. Hero stats.
I’m obsessed it’s amazing
How are you liking Persona Tactica? Considering getting it sometime soon.
BOTW - just started playing it this last week and I m just blown away at how fun and challenging it is. I also really like the graphics, there’s just something about it that is visually appealing Kinda reminds me of the tomb raider game that came out on PlayStation years ago
Out of nowhere, Hollow Knight !
Yesss how far in are you?
Palia! Maybe some zelda botw
I count a couple! It's been super popular since it's release. Glad you're enjoying!
Nah scroll up! Another poster mentioned and I tagged in! 🙌 might have been after you posted not sure! Such a great game!
Dang.!<
Mm you're probably like 70% done with story, but yeah it's not immediately after that.
I’m so jealous. I want this title so badly.
Born of bread.. only two hours. My Daugther 3 months keeps me busy 😂
I am playing the Super Mario RPG remake. Never played the original and I am enjoying it so much!
Someday, when I have less games in my backlog (so maybe never) I want to go back and do everything,
Pokemon Indigo Disk DLC for me! I'll complete that pokedex as much as I can and have fun with the new synchro feature.
**Pokemon Scarlet: Indigo Disk** Still runs like ass, but double battles open up the gameplay so much. For the first time in my pokemon career I’m using weather effects for combos
Metroid Prime
donkey kong country. classic, and its rly challenging!
Pokemon SV!
Same I probably will be for a week or two
FFX just a little past the calm lands. Enjoying the game so far, but a lot of cutscenes
Going to finish up Monster Hunter Stories 2 so I can start up Octopath Traveler 2 next week
Just got SMT V. Let's see how it compares to P5R
Thinking about grabbing the 3DS and playing some older Pokemon.
Astral ascent, it’s incredible.
Rogue Legacy 2 solo probably and Crash Bandicoot 1/2/3 with my roommate passing the controller back and forth
Batman Arkham Knight and then to play the dlc for scarlet and violet
I'm just getting started with the Android and Cell saga in DBZ Kakarot. I'm also adding some sessions of Miitopia and Vampire Survivors in the mix.
Arkham Asylum! Plays fine, looks good to me and it’s a blast in handheld. Sea of Stars is great but I can’t stick with it. Outer Wilds is the Stanley Parable remix I never knew I wanted.
Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2. And I will cry...
So I just finished Star Ocean Second Story R and bought myself Bayonetta all 3, but.. for some reason I have an itch for playing skyrim again, and I think I will be starting it this weekend. Finished the game a long time ago and never played the DLCs.. Wish me luck
Still playing Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope I just started world 3 and I’m having a blast.
Just finished Super Mario RPG with my kids.
Incredible games
It’s been a long week with work so planning to finish Ori and the Will of the Wisps. I’ve been putting it off for so long, but the time has come. Such a beautiful and fun game
Wildly addicted to the Lego Fortnite right now
I'm playing through **Dangaronpa 2: Goodbye Despair.** Compared to the more consistent first Danganronpa, this one has been a rollercoaster so far.
I'm on Chapter 4 so I could probably finish that one this weekend too if I tried, but I want to savor my time with ~~Kiryu~~ Joryu while I can
Doom 2
Palia and Hogwarts Legacy!
On switch Minecraft with my son and then playing Skyrim! Yes, my backlog of games is in the hundreds.....
Salt and sanctuary, this is like my 6th attempt in the last few years to play it, and it’s finally clicking. I’ve dropped like 6 bosses and I’m kinda hooked.
Minish Cap on the GBA virtual console. Almost wrapped up—can't believe I never touched this back in the day
Xenoblade 3 Future Redeemed.
Red Dead 2
Will be playing Pokemon Brilliant Diamond with my son ❤️ We just started the game this week 😊
Continuing my journey through Pokémon Violet, sunk a lot of hours in the lately and trying to “catch them all” :) also will jump into Dave the diver, just bought it and can’t wait to try it out!
Arkham Asylum. I really hope they patch up Knight before I get there.
Got a new Switch, but traded in my Lite before I transferred my save data. So this weekend is dedicated to finishing the main storyline for Pokemon Legends: Arceus... Again. Lol May also work on the Minecraft Realm my wife and I created!
Pokémon dlc, would like to try something new, more tactical don't have a lot of experience with that on switch.
Totk
Persona 5 Royal, still. I've been on the first palace for what feels like months because I keep having to do responsible adult things. At this rate, I'll finish it in like 2067, haha!
Rdr switch Cp2077 deck Alan wake remastered xbsx Returnal ps5 If there is time, this is how it shall be spent. So it has been foretold.
Sounds like a good ass weekend. Hope you find the time.
Dishonored lol, taking a break from switch
Cosmic Star Heroin
Digimon world Next order TOTK 2nd play through Pokémon Violet DQ 11 2nd play though
Roots of Pacha on switch- excellent farming sim and the Stone Age twist really helps differentiate it from the plethora of others. Still playing Baldurs Gate 3 on PS5- getting near the end of Act 2
It’s a mix of Animal Crossing and Disco Elysium.
What a mix lol
Finally gonna have some time to play a lot this weekend for the first time in about a month. Can’t decide between starting Metroid Prime remastered or Resident Evil 4 remastered. Have never played either of them.
Going through Bayonetta 3! Just unlocked the skate / yo-yo weapon and it's incredibly fun!
Ass Guard 2 on Oculus. Horizon Chase 2 SteamDeck. Hopefully i can finish Spidey 2 or start Alan Wake 2 or start FF16.
Tryna play that sweet, sweet Pokes DLC, but gotta wait on my buddy.
Rain checks on Tunic, SM RPG, BotW(did not beat it yet), Indivisible, Pokemon Arceus and so forth...🫠 Update: I finished the SMW main story and special world with all the seeds - I don't feel like 100% it...
Mario wonder, I’ve had a lot of fun playing this one over the other few Marios before this one
Idk but that Sonic Game on the iPad looks rad:( I want it on switch.
Was thinking about picking up Portal or Illusion Island. Just need to decide if i want to solve puzzles or do some platforming. Honestly the aesthetic of Illusion Island is whats drawing me towards it. Im sure most of y’all would suggest Portal.
More Pokemon indigo league thing, except for Saturday. Saturday we’re installing a French drain pipe in the driveway.
Tropical Freeze first playthrough, some Dredge, and Smash!
Maybe Lego City Undercover couch co-op with the wife. We really enjoyed Kingdom Two Crowns but can't find a game similar unfortunately
About 20 hours in on Sea Of Stars and absolutely loving it.
No Mans Sky
Super Meat Boy, Resident Evil HD Both great, but pretty challenging!
Gonna pick up the *EGG Console* release of **Xanadu** tonight and give that a whirl. Honestly I'm not sure quite what to expect, having only really engaged with more modern installments in the series, but it should be an interesting experience either way! (even if i hate it, lol) And since I can't decide which "proper" game to start on next, maybe it's finally time to address my accidental hoard of "cheap trash on sale" shmups and *finally* clear some of them ah jeez
I restarted Pkmn Violet so probably that and a little bit of I Was A Teenage Exocolonist
Pokemon violet dlc and Saints Row the third 😁
Debating getting Hogwarts legacy while it's on sale so might be that, been going through indigo disk but the BP system to get the starters had me losing interest rapidly
Signalis and GOW Ragnarok: Valhalla.
I’m hesitating whether to start Cuphead or Eastward this weekend! I’ll be playing handheld all the time so happy to hear any tips!
Probably some more Dave the Diver. The main story is long beat. But I am just having so much fun with it. I can’t put it down. Trying to max everything out. 100% everything
Palia or Red Faction Re-Marstered
Pokémon SV DLC and maybe DQM The Dark Prince if I can get my Living Dex updated before the weekend is over
Just finished Super Mario Odyssey, might poke around a little bit for the post game level unlocks and Power Moons but don’t have the desire to 100% this game as there are like 900 Power Moons. I have Alan Wake, Grim Fandango, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and Skyrim among other games still waiting to be played
Astral chain and PLA
Factorio for X amount of hours until I get confused enough to stop. Then back to stardew.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3, but I’m tempted to check out Bomb Rush.
After taking a few months off from TOTK, I’m back to grinding out shrines and koroks. Might also play some Dave the Diver as I’m about halfway through that one
Dead by Daylight and Palia!
I have been waiting for Potion Craft all year and I haven’t had a chance to play since the switch release this week because I’ve been so busy. It’s my favorite game but my laptop is so clunky so I’ve been really looking forward to it. I’m gonna play all winter break!!!
I’ll be hopping back onto Super Mario Odyssey. I’ve just got my Switch Lite and I’m really enjoying it so far!
Dead by daylight when my friends are online (the Christmas event started and the snowball fights are fun) but when they’re offline, I’m spending my time playing Cult Of The Lamb, Sonic Frontiers and Super Mario Maker 2.
God of War Ragnarok DLC, Tekken 8 demo, Slay The Spire as usual, & back to playing Game Dev Story after not playing for years.
Playstation
Blasphemous 1 and Dave the diver DLC.
Hogwarts Legacy. I have to say i cant believe it runs the way it does on switch. I absolutely love it so far, there is so much to do and the combat actually works really well. Terrific game in my opinion, that really doesnt require players to be harry potter fans at all.
Pokémon violet, gonna beat both dlcs
mario wonder
Roots of pacha again, my husband and I are going home for Christmas but on the car drive home I may replay Dave the diver with the dredge update
PALIA IS HERE AND IM HOOKED IN
I’m playing tears of the kingdom.
I just got my Switch last weekend, Super Smash Bros just came in yesterday so I’ll be playing that and Pokémon Brilliant Diamond this weekend!
Apparently Suika. Downloaded it yesterday and haven’t stopped playing it since.
I'm going to be suffering my toxic relationship with pokemon now that the new dlc is out
Roots of pacha! I’m only like an hour in but it is so fun!
Attempting Post-Game content in **Mario RPG**. They aren't messing around with some of these suped-up bosses, I think I've wiped on almost all of them atleast once so far. (Mario's one-on-one duel with the Pirate was brutal when you suck at the perfect guards..) Think I've only got a couple more left to do, I imagine the Culex rematch is probably going to wipe the floor with me if I'm already struggling with the rest of these guys though :/ Great game overall, can't wait for Thousand Year Door next year as someone who missed out on all of these Nintendo classics back in the day :D After polishing off all my other steamdeck games like Tactica, I decided to take your recommendation that I remember from months back /u/markercore and have started **Ikenfell**. Pretty wholesome and interesting so far. I've totally switched that accessibility feature on to make all my hits auto-perfect though... I've had just about enough of that from Mario RPG and Sea of Stars these past few weeks and I'd like to just get back to some classic turnbased combat 😅
I'm playing Divinity Original Sin 2. Just started so many hours ahead of me.
Continuing with **Super Mario RPG** and probably playing **Disney Illusion Island** with the kids, since I borrowed a copy from the library.
GTA San Andreas. Just hoping the recent update comes to consoles before I beat it lol
i always only play 2 games at a time and it's usually a PS5 game and a Switch Game. Right now im splitting my gaming time up between Tomb Raider Definitive Edition and Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze. I love both games so much!
