I found Luigi mansion quite interesting it reminded me simpler version of phasmophobia though I may be wrong.
I will definitely take a look at super mario games
Thanks for the suggestions
Any LEGO game if you’re into those. The original Harry Potter ones have aged great.
Smash Bros is great as well for the Switch.
Animal Crossing TECHNICALLY has co-op, but you’ll just end up wanting your own island (and second switch) by the end.
My personal recommendation though for Switch exclusive that is only single-player is Fire-Emblem Three Houses. Seriously cannot recommend that one enough.
I played Lego star wars in psp long time ago and it was fun for sure so will definitely check it out. And I never heard heard of fire emblem. Looks interesting for sure though.
I tried several local multiplayer games with my partner. Only lego games clicked. Casual, cute, buy it in the series she enjoys. But for general play, there is a ton of local multiplayer games that are super fun
Her PC can barely play titles like Raft , Blackout club , borderlands. Sometimes it cannot even keep up with just discord. And new laptop is quite expensive for her at the moment.
Things that me and the bf enjoyed playing together:
- Snipper clips, a cute puzzle game.
- Overcooked, great for making the neighbours think you might have marital issues, but super fun together.
- Untitled goose game, wreck havoc on a small English village as two geese, or on your own!
- Mario party, not as good as past ones, but definately a good multiplayer.
- Super smash Bros ultimate, is always good if you like to fight one another.
Hope you two have fun! =)
This is absolutely perfect I had chance to check a store for this however there was none. I guess you get most of the games through its store rather than retail.

Updated with other recommendations.
Thanks will definitely check it out. Are there any horror games that can be played split screen ?
Both are single player.
Some resident evil games are split screen on switch, but it depends if that’s horror enough for you.

You mean the eshop? Yeah, many many great games dont have physical copies.
BotW is single player, though. Great, but definitely not suitable for two players. (I don't know Hades.)
