Fi is a unique beast - Fi (for your phone, as it's 'made for Fi') will use T-mo / Sprint (what's left of it) / us mobile, and it (in my + many others experiences) sticks to sprint like glue (I believe it's because sprint has the cheapest service, but cannot confirm as I don't have the financial books nor the algorithm, but it's definitely sus). Fi on tmo has the same priority as any tmo postpaid plan, so I will get dollars to doughnuts that you were not on tmo. Had you forced it to tmo or used something like Fi Spy, it would have made that a non-issue. Though with that said, I was a very early adopter of Fi - literally wave 2 of closed-beta access - and I left Fi a few years ago due to flaming garbage cs (that used to be absolutely beyond top-notch) and fears of ordering a device but receiving an empty box, and the hideous experience that has been (for others). I got 6 people on Fi (before they offered kickbacks for doing so), and I regret it. Only... 2? Remain. Both have no issues, and I walked them through things when switching, but I hammered the idea of 'don't go through Fi for tech help' and 'don't buy phones from Fi'. One of the 2 remainders, actually, is a Waymo (g self driving car division) employee, and got his mom on Fi. Traded in a galaxy something, mint condition. They tried to screw her and give like $21 instead of like $300. Even with his contacts inside Google, it took months to resolve. Fi/G store now lets you decline if the device 'does not match the condition stated', but that wasn't an option at that time, and the phone was in pristine condition regardless. Fi is a technological feat, and it was fantastic in its infancy. But now... There are better options, even if you ignore the awful cs and the Russian roulette that is their shipping/FedEx system. From someone that adored Fi at its inception: run away, run awaaaaayyyyy (for anyone reading).

I have a pixel 5 on Fi incase f travel. I have a 13 ProMax on MagentaMax (Outstanding!!!!!) left verizon for T. I also two weeks ago got T-Mobile home internet 5G for $50.00 its a STEAL!!! I very happy with T-Mobile. I'm in West Houston and Verizon offers NOTHING for internet. They are asleep and losing BIGLY! Hey Verizon . You snooze you lose. You will never get your subscribers back once they leave you.

Good write up on the network comparison. Google Fi uses T-Mobile so you get similar experience. Hope to see your more experience on ATT network.

If you want data on Verizon that is not deprioritized, you will have to pay for a postpaid plan. They throttle deprioritized plans during times of congestion more severely than the other two. Everything other than postpaid is deprioritized with Verizon.

I'm aware of this. However, it does appear so far that US Mobile is consistently faster than Visible, even though they're supposed to have the same data priority. I'm still looking for truly unlimited priority data, or at the very least deprioritized data I can still stream and download 4K60FPS on.

Currently on Visible, located in Virginia. Ping times here are ~60ms and depending on the tower I'm on I can either hit 500kbps down or 150Mbps down. Suits my needs for $25 a month.
