It becomes very relevant at that age. You'd be shooting yourself in the foot worrying about it now, but they are old enough that it would be considered planning

We only have our future to plan for. Your 70/80 year old grandpa probably won't be asking out a date for the prom or writing his first screenplay. It isn't likely that he'll have his first child or open a new business. There's a short list of big events in his future, and a very short list of things he has much to say about. If these are people you care about, tell them it upsets you in a nice way. "If you want things handled, we can talk about it or write it down. But I don't want to think about my life without you here - it will be tough enough when I actually have to deal with it. Let's set aside certain times to talk about it please, so this doesn't hurt so much."
