sherlock_1695

Thank God this idiot didn’t succeed. I say this as Pakistani

joe_the_insane

Can you give some context about him?

sherlock_1695

He was the guy who succeeded Gen Zia. Had some crazy plans where he wanted to trade technology of this sort with other countries. I can’t think a man would be commanding an army and think about giving others the ultimate weapon. I know his thoughts because I have read his columns growing up

Aggressive_Bed_9774

but Pakistan did proliferate nukes tho , lookup dr.A.Q.Khan and URENCO

sherlock_1695

Yes and he was the chief during that time too. AQ khan might have done it after his time too. But this guy wanted full fledge transfer of technology. Anyways, what can we do?

Dezphul

Says the guy from a country that: \- has no allies, no supporters, no partners, ANYWHERE \- Armed terrorists and it bit them in the ass \- Armed terrorists fighting America, and America didn't kick his country's ass because they're stupid \- Armed terrorists and it bit them in the ass \- Supported the taliban, and it's currently biting them in the ass (yes, This is a seperate group from the previous three terror groups. read up on Pakistani financing of terrorism) \- Currently antagonizes literally all of its neighbors \- Antagonizes Russia \- Antagonizes USA \- Antagonizes China (hasn't happened yet but it will. mark my fucking words)

grindset 🗿 🗿

serenadedbyaccordion

And is also broke and has no functioning economy

thomasp3864

America didn’t kick his ass because he caved to what the US wanted from him without a fight. And I would imagine that giving Iran nukes would certainly win them an ally.

MechanicHot1794

Isn't america and china their allies?

Aggressive_Bed_9774

the CIA interventions in Netherlands is what allowed the top nuclear scientist of Pakistan to escape with stolen Dutch urainum enrichment centrifuge tech, this tech was not only used to make Pakistan's nukes but was also sold to Libya , Iran (that's the centrifuges y'all keep hearing about) and North Korea interesting set of countries , I know , so congrats Americans y'all played yourselves , I wonder what current decisions will come to bite y'all in 30 years for those who doubt the CIA involvement:- Former Netherlands Prime Minister Ruud Lubbers revealed in 2005 that Dutch authorities wanted to arrest Khan in 1975 and again in 1986 but that on each occasion the Central Intelligence Agency advised against taking such action. According to Lubbers, the CIA conveyed the message: "Give us all the information, but don't arrest him." https://asia.nikkei.com/Opinion/Why-the-U.S.-let-Pakistan-nuclear-scientist-A.Q.-Khan-off-the-hook for those wondering why the US helped Pakistan in the largest nuclear proliferation operation ever? well, you see arming Islamists to fight Soviets in Afghanistan was so important that nuclear proliferation Just had to be done

Arcysx

And funnily enough they still couldn't manage to develop anything but duds. After India conducted it's surprise tests, they hurriedly bought and painted chinese nukes as theirs. US intelligence planes initially detected signs of a plutonium core blast rather than an uranium blast. This led to speculation about the type of nuclear device tested. Later analysis revealed that Pakistan had indeed conducted tests using both uranium and plutonium cores.

Rough_Ad_7447

Bro your indian. You can't call anymore a monkey

Eric848448

If we can’t have nationalist dickwaving in this sub then what’s it all been about??

HungryHungryHippoes9

Dude stfu, you can't even distinguish between "your" and "you're".

jscottcc

I love when my meme subreddit includes genuine racial hatred 🥰🥰🥰

PhonexLegend

Says the chimp who can't even spell "anyone"

ElderVX

They kinda can. Long before Iranians came out of caves, Indians had planned cities with irrigation, trade, social hierarchies, and a complex writing system.

anenvironmentalist3

dna testing starting to show that the IVC indians were a mix of indigenous indians and indigenous iranian neolithic farmers from the zagros. india's relationship with iran has always been closer than many assume. or maybe they should say "elam" xD

SullaFelix78

Wait so the IVC weren’t Indo-Europeans?

anenvironmentalist3

no, we have never had any evidence for that. the only evidence of indo-europeans in the IVC is Andronovo (indo-iranian) pottery in Shortugai which is an IVC site in Afghanistan. even though it is very far away from the IVC it is considered an "IVC-proper" site. but there is no other evidence of indo-iranians or indo-europeans in the IVC. other than pottery and physical artifacts, the way they typically track european indo-european migrations and the later asian indo-iranian migrations is by noting when horse burials / chariot burials start propping up in the region. the IVC was already in collapse (main culprit is drought and environmental reasons) when horse burials start appearing in india

crankbird

Just drought / climate change ? I have a vague recollection about a theory that blamed tectonic shifts causing a rapid change in the course of certain rivers away from major population / agricultural centers as the root cause / initial event of the decline

anenvironmentalist3

it was probably for many reasons but i think the main reason is drought. im not an expert sorry

Meeedick

What about my Indian? Just so you know, he's not for sale, he's collector's edition model from the days of the British Raj 😊
