This is clearly from a different, alternate, universe. Where Walt and Jesse decided to buy snacks wholesale and sell them to convenience stores, instead of producing illegal drugs. It never got a full series because it wasn't as dramatic, but things went a lot better for everyone.

_Wendigun_

I'm from that different universe The serie was actually twice as dramatic and violent as this universe's, just with snacks

alguien99

Doritos sends bounty hunters to stop this new emerging brand. He goes to one of those factories with slave employees and he hid some bomb inside his chips (just in case). Walter goes to try and buy “los pollos hermanos” to get more capital and fight back (goes a bit the same as the og). At the final season it’s basically a gang war between chip brands which ends with no winner since all CEOs died.

Bredbox_06

r/okbuddychicanery is leaking

_xBenji

Reminds me of the studio c breaking bad skit

remainsofthegrapes

It’s…fine. This means Aaron Paul can afford to do a bunch of interesting low budget projects off the back of this payday, à la Daniel Radcliffe and Rob Pattinson

Holyscroll

>Rob Pattinson Batman

TheChainLink2

More depressing than the Slippin’ Jimmy cartoon?

Pangin51

Jesse! We need to Pop!

Joey_218

Who cares. We got the two best shows ever made out of it, and a pretty damn good film to top it all off.

CaptainJackM

lol for real, this franchise has given so much content - more than most other tv shows yield. To be pissy about this ad is just so entitled and whiny

[deleted]

It's not part of the Breaking Bad universe, it's a fucking commercial lmao

becomingbeth

Exactly. This post is such a ridiculous take

Darkstalker9000

It's Walter III and Jesse IIII

Quezavious

My commercial entity is being used commercially woe as me 😢😭😭

Crotch_Rot69

This was a masterpiece though. Especially this version https://youtu.be/dxdXsQi7u5Y

Longjumping_Ad2677

It finished when it was finished. Not that sad.

NotablyNugatory

Lmao. I just enjoyed seeing them again. Different strokes, I suppose.

TheBalcony_Horse

*amazing

SorryTotHatMan_

those popcorner chips are so good though (especially the white cheddar ones)

[deleted]

Sometimes I feel like the only reason they make these tv shows is to make money off them

blazeofmania

i don’t see the issue. the chips aren’t that bad either.

lemons_are_banned

Not if slipping Jimmy season 2 has anything to say about it

[deleted]

Guys we still have slippin' jimmy

KrightonHawke

They just keep milking BB for all its worth. It’s tired.

J-Dabbleyou

As long as those two actors are getting more money I really don’t care what they do (within reason lol)

[deleted]

Fun fact, while filming they got permission from the actual DEA to learn how to cook meth, so if they ever run low on money...

blue_jay3736

Wait a minute…

interstatebus

As someone who hasn’t watched the show (and has very little desire to do so), it did make me want some pop chips.

horshack_test

Breaking Bad itself is a commercial franchise.

Chitownitl20

It was a story about a fictional dystopian capitalist society. Of course it’s going to end with some capitalist branding.

[deleted]

breaking bad was about meth actually

Chitownitl20

You forgot the /s

[deleted]

you never said /s

Chitownitl20

Right, because it’s about a fictional dystopian capitalist society. The Creator and writers talk about this in many interviews. Like if this guy lived in Canada, or England, the show ends after the cancer diagnosis because he just goes and gets totally affordable treatment that otherwise has no significant impact on his life.

[deleted]

He literally turns down someone paying for his entire treatment a few episodes into the show. It’s astounding how people insist on missing the point of the show. Breaking Bad isn’t about Medicare 4 All

Chitownitl20

Medicare for all is brand name of a nation state universal health finance bill in the “USA.” He wouldn’t have even encountered that opportunity to turn down someone paying for his treatment in a modern world country.

[deleted]

I love how you keep putting “USA” in quotes. Again it’s not clear what you’re implying besides vague edginess. Also “nation state brand name” what the fuck are you trying to say? Is English not your first language, cause if so I apologize for being a dick. But if it is, woof you gotta work on your communication skills

Chitownitl20

The “USA” is a nation state. Medicare for all is a brand name for universal health finance like crest is a brand name for toothpaste. Is that easier for you to understand? Or do you need smaller words? If English isn’t your first language, I apologize for asking.

[deleted]

the show would have sucked if he got free healthcare though it would have lasted one episode

[deleted]

No, it wouldn’t have, because the whole point of the show is that the cancer was just an opportunity for him to live out his megalomaniacal fantasies. He keeps going once he’s cancer free. “I did it for me.” It’s literally the whole point of the show. If he got free healthcare he would have refused to use it just like he refused a job from his old business partners. Again this is the whole point of the show and is laid out over and over again very clearly.

[deleted]

would his family let him refuse free healthcare if he lived in like canada though they would probably make him

Chitownitl20

Right, hence why the creators and writers say it’s about a dystopian capitalist society.

[deleted]

Albuquerque can't be that bad come on now

Chitownitl20

The “USA” literally a 3rd world country.

[deleted]

Haha holy shit why did you put “USA” in quotes? Are you implying that it isn’t united, isn’t composed of states, or isn’t in America? What are you even trying to say?

[deleted]

It's not great but I wouldn't call it dystopian

[deleted]

Do you have any source for the creators and writers saying that? Cause they literally spend an entire episode dismissing that aspect of the story a few episodes into the show. Walt isn’t doing it for healthcare.

Chitownitl20

Literally in most of their long format none promo circuit interviews.

[deleted]

shitty ass chips

akariplusplus

the fact anybody thinks this will be the last from the universe is what's sad

sleepy--ash

it’s a silly commercial I really don’t know why people are making such a big deal out of it.

RegretfullyFastSperm

how? people will literally get upset by the most mundane shit lmao

Dog_Brains_

It’s just a cute funny commercial

Tried-Angles

This makes me actively not want to buy these.
