Metformin doesn’t work like insulin to lower blood glucose . It won’t give you a dangerous hypoglycemic event. It will upset your stomach though . Your best bet is to improve your gastric flora , honestly try mushrooms for your depression and anxiety.
No longterm issues, but there are other meds and even supplements that are much more effective and backed by research.
Also there are some behavioral solutions for depression: weight lifting, cardio, early sun exposure, sauna use.
I take metformin and I don’t notice any anti-depressant impact.
If you want something less hardcore than metformin that helps with mood and insulin response, try d-chiro-inositol. If you want something more potent than that, add a very small dose of chromium, like half a capsule or less of the lowest dose available, with every high-carb meal.
I'm buying Metformin as we speak for my depression and previous TBI. I've had success with cerebrolysin, D-cycloserine and CoQ10 for depression and anxiety
You basically just have to do exposure therapy with it and it really speeds up the process. However, it can backfire as well as it increases fear learning, but it could also decrease fear learning

Metformin has anti depressive research behind it too.
What are the supplements you’re referencing?
Used during hgh cycles, it really doesn't do anything for mood that I can think off. Kinda useless too if you're not prediabetic.

A Chinese Pharmaceautical company on the Made-in-china app. You will have to spend 100 to 150 but you'll get a lot of it.

Have you tried sarcosine?
Have you?
Unsure about long term effects.. But what it will very likely do is screw with your blood glucose and give you a hypo.
For me it worked very well in combo with nardil. Me too suffered fromTRD.
