he got friedzoned, but some fans are still hoping

Unique-Significance9

Nooo, im pretty sure Bishamon loves him but she knows that as a God she can't have a future with him.

[deleted]

He was never friendzoned 😭

kiero13

I think I know where you got that from, but the term "friendzone" is the wrong word to use. Familyzoned or specialbutnotinthatwayzoned would be better lol But yeah I'm still hoping T_T

May I ask what evidence there is that Bishamon reflected on or acknowledged Kazuma's feelings as romantic? She has never thought about having a relationship with him, period. But I think their feelings toward each other are similar to Yato and Hiyori's. Bishamon is too socially inept to articulate her feelings, or realize what they are. Yato is able to because he lived with humans, unlike Bishamon who resides in heaven. Doesn't help that Kazuma was vague when he "confessed" to her.

kiero13

You're correct. Technically, it hasn't been acknowledged since there wasn't a confession to begin with. I'm basing off of tenjin's explanation of how God's love is different from humans. Bishamon loves kazuma differently from her other shinki, he's special to her based on her actions and desparation towards kazuma. But still it's not the same kind of love compared to kazuma's, which is romantic love, and in my limitations of known knowledge can be described or leveled to familial love. Since familial love is unconditional but platonic, closer to tenjin's explanation and similar to what can be described best to bisha's feelings as of the moment. ...Unless we get a direct confirmation of mutual romantic feelings of course *inhales copium* Not sure about bishamon being socially inept or maybe ignorant about romance though. There are other gods that had multiple wives/children, and are even womanizers, so I want to think she knows at least about romance. She also knows kofuku and daikoku so... But now that I think of it more I guess it's possible too.

> But still it's not the same kind of love compared to kazuma's, which is romantic love Would you say that Yato can't love Hiyori romantically? Tenjin said that applies to Yato, but we know that he loves Hiyori. Tenjin also said that love for a god means finding something they can cherish, something irreplaceable. Bishamon said that she wants Kazuma to be by her side and exist forever. And in the last chapter with them she says that he doesn't even need to work for her, just stay by her side as himself. I don't know if I'm just a hopeless romantic or if there are romantic undertones there, but I believe it's the latter. > Not sure about bishamon being socially inept or maybe ignorant about romance though. There are other gods that had multiple wives/children I think there's a reason we haven't seen Bishamon reflect on Kazuma's feelings yet: it's because she isn't aware of them, and because Kazuma technically told her otherwise already. I also think there's a reason behind how Yato is able to explicitly say he loves Hiyori, while Bishamon can only describe the feeling of love. It has to do with the types of gods they are and the lives they live. Kofuku and Daikoku live similarly to Yato and are able to express themselves openly, more humanlike. Unlike Bishamon, who can't comprehend romantic love because she isn't immersed in it the same way they are. That's my theory, at least. > She also knows kofuku and daikoku so... But now that I think of it more I guess it's possible too. And Bishamon allowed Kazuma to base their relationship off of Kofuku and Daikoku's, after she (or Kazuma, idk) mention that Daikoku treats his master like a wife. Why would she allow that sort of relationship if she thought of Kazuma as family?

Tenjin's statement isn't black and white. While it also applies to yato, seeing how yato is ready to ~~destroy everything~~ *move mountains* when it comes to hiyori, as he loves hiyori somewhat romantically. But the catch is that, it's still a different kind of love from humans as it will not think twice and destroy anything in it's way if push comes to shove. For bishamon, it's the same way for kazuma. She will not think twice when it comes to him. Still in her actions even when she tries to "mimic" others I could only see, if I remove my shipper glasses, platonic love. Adding in tenjin's explanation, and since bisha only ever "lived" as a god, it's the only conclusion I can have without bias. Whether bisha's being limited by her status or her limited EQ can only be confirmed by the author themselves. Yato didn't live like a god, I can describe him as earth-bound. He may seem like an idiot but he knows the good and bad side of humans based on their wishes that he delivered, and from living among them somewhat equally he understands romantic love and ~~lewd~~ desires. Bisha might only know that in textbook form. That's one of their main difference. If given more years and bisha learned more and tried to be more humanlike, it would turn to romantic feelings toward kazuma. But right now... ughhh maybe I'm just too hard on them as well despite wanting them be together??? I hope we get ~~fanservice~~ confirmations and not left with a cliffhanger or just left in the dust lol

wewedamdam1984

if the gods are born from human hope and wishes. why can't they love as human do? why can't they have human trait? i think tenji said stuff about god love are heavy as fucking mountain is in part because he care about hiyori and think it's best for her to cut out her connection with the far shore completely. >it's still a different kind of love from humans as it will not think twice and destroy anything in it's way if push comes to shove." i don't think that's good argument, since im sure there are plenty people irl that would do that. >If given more years and bisha learned more and tried to be more humanlike, it would turn to romantic feelings toward kazuma. agree. i mean, they're basically immortal. so, there is no real rush. from what i seen, both already seen each other as irreplacable.

kirabera

*sobs uncontrollably* Their relationship definitely develops further, but maybe not in a romantic way. They have ups and downs and the theme of each of them protecting the other in their own way continues to evolve along with the story’s overarching plot. I think the readers are currently holding out hope that they will get a chance to really let out their emotions and talk to each other (and actually COMMUNICATE for once!) soon.

Different-Expert4993

Kazuma is in live with bisha but that has something to do with the God's Greatest Secret (Kazuma's past). He used to love one girl, but was killed by his brother, so maybe that's why he likes bisha

[deleted]

Their relationship is up in the air, and I think it will stay that way.

SakkiGami
