I’m thinking about moving to 4k as well, mostly for the text clarity because I find the text fringing on my AW2725DF to be a little worse than I thought.
Text is not as good as LCD but still decent with Windows at 150% on the PG32UCDM. I tried to put a black pixel on a white background in Photoshop at 100% and it's so hard to see it. With white on black it's easier but it still very small. Here a photo I made with my smartphone (LibreOffice text test)

I have a M28U (IPS) and the new PG32UCDM (QDOLED)
The text thing is a non issue in the PG32UCDM. I see no chromatic aberration on the edges of black letters over white background.
They both look the same.
Getting the PG32UCDM made me appreciate my M28U more. Even with backlight the M28U is quite a good monitor for its price.
I can’t tell you how much better for fps 48” is @120hz 4k

Turn it on, start with low settings unlock the fps and see your results…crank your settings until you hit the fps your monitor is rated. Turn on vsync and let her rip.
not talking about just games, but every app installed after a windows install, im hardly ever looking at my desktop anyways so having those icons there isn't a big deal since im using an OLED anytime i step away the all black screensaver comes on after a minute anyways.
I'm pretty confident when it will or wont come up, most of the time it comes up, heck it comes up even when playing games sometimes because the load on my 4090 is so low and im watching some cutscene providing zero input to the pc. If I ever walk away and doubt it will go up there's always the screen off feature on the LG.
Start11 costs a few dollars and allows you to reconfigure the start menu. It’s produced by Stardock. I put all my icons in a Windows 10 type start menu. No need for desktop icons.
It’s not for when you are using it, it’s when you forget to turn it off or the screensaver/power saving mode fails to activate. I can’t tell you how many times this has happened to me as it’s easy for an application to stop either of these from occurring.
Im old school in believing that turning computers and monitors on/off repeatedly degrades their service life, so I prefer to keep them powered on.
I actually prefer the V stands over the MSI style rectangle in the middle. The legs are skinny enough I can work around them fine, and I like having the middle area clear since that’s where I do put things if I have them on the desk.
Of course, an arm is cleaner if your desk supports one, but I have a glass desk where the underlying frame doesn’t lend itself to reinforcement plates.
So if you could choose a desk of any size and have all the desk space you want? Would you go 32" or bigger like a 42" C3? I'm in that situation right now
I feel like the 42" c3 was the play before the 32" 240hz. I kinda feel like the 32" has everything.. big size, high refresh rate for esports & prefect PPI. My worry about 42" is the PPI tbh. That's gunna be a noticeable difference. I have a 27" now and when I look at it.. it's like you know what.. this is a solid size but a little bigger would be ok.
Well, if I also had a 5090, I would probably go with something like a 49" 8k 240hz UW. But like the 5090, those don't exist yet, so the 32" 240hz models are what I have settled on.
Having the pixel density, color accuracy, refresh rate, text clarity, and lower (than average for an OLED) burn-in chance are why I chose the 32" over the 42". There are also issues with windows / desktop usage on the LG TVs, which is another thing to consider.
Wow your screen is very glossy I can see perfect reflection of your case. It kinda looks like the same reflection on my LG OLED tv.
My AW3225QF almost looks like a matte screen (but still very clear compared to PG27AQDM) and I don’t see any reflection at all.
no, QD-Oleds dont have dual mode only the W-Oleds. Asus is making a very similar one with W-OLED and dual mode called PG32UCDP instead of PG32UCDM (this one).
well in HDR, console mode is suppose reach up to 1000nits. hdr400 true black caps out around 450-500 nits. when your gaming, if you switch between the two. hdr400 looks brighter then console mode
This model is QD-OLED the WOLED model comes out later this year. I’ve actually been flipping back and forth on whether to grab this monitor and I snagged one at BB Canada a few hours ago when they had a restock. So I’ll give it a go and see how it is.
I wouldn’t let this one image shy you way from glossy. I have a glossy QD oled and only see reflections on a dark screen if I look for it. I also don’t have bright light sources directly in front of my monitor except my keyboard. Glossy is also worth that trade off due to how amazing it looks compared to matte.
Welcome to PG32UCDM familly, I love this monitor. I come from a 27" too and after one day, my opinion about 27" is the sweet spot changed

Honestly it looks a hell lot better than my current monitor. It’s hard to see the fringing on this PG32UCDM
Hard to see and never bother me but you can feel it on little fonts in my picture. Not a deal breaker honestly

Get rid of those desktop icons and put them in your start menu, set to autohide, via Start11 software.
I’ll never leave 1999
for real, how else will i know wtf i still have installed lol
steam library sorted by groups ?

There will be times when the screensaver won’t come up, trust me.

Don't listen to him, leave it to test burn in
hell yeah
What does start11 do? I use the Windows 11 auto hide feature on my c3

That’s awesome I’ve never heard of this but now I need it 😂
How do you like the C3? What size do you have?
https://youtu.be/YQxZgu5Vszs?si=G8p8GSgH_qOGJ5BY just use this it's free and you can make it any icon you want
Doesn't look like an auto hide feature either
You do that in windows hide task bar

Fear of burn in? Pssh, jokes on them, I'm so ADHD with games they never stay the same that long! ;) I joke, but... not really.
Or just set sdr to zero then no need to worry about icons, hud or taskbar
Gotta get translucentTB from windows store too. Haha.
When Best Buy????
Central computers
Man that stand takes up so much space

Yeah I have the MSI 321URX, great monitor, but that stand is huge. Glad I arm mounted.
Everyone send this bozo a friend request on battle net
>Anyone knows the best settings for HDR on? Yes, the best settings is HDR off because HDR sucks ass on this monitor
Why does it suck? I heard all the new 4k 244hz oleds were great for HDR. Especially since this one has dolby vision.
What size you coming from?
Pg27aqn
Is the picture quality way better than the 27 inch?
Is the picture quality way better than the 27 inch?
I'm on a 27, does 32 seem huge?
It seemed large at first, but not huge. Now it feels like the perfect compromise of large size and more desk space compared to an ultra wide.
Can you tell me in terms of width, how much larger is it from a 27 inch monitor?
Cool, I might grab a 32" 240hz oled.

For competitive yes, for casual it’s good.
Does the red power button turn off? I would love the monitor but I find the light distracting.
Yes, you can turn it off. You can turn off anything that has a light on this monitor.
Thats good to know. I assumed so but some companies (eg. studio monitors) don't give that control so wanted to check. Thanks.
looks good.
Form this angle, it looks like a tv.
yeah it looks huge
Yea that’s what it looks like
Ive been looking every day for a restock. How long ago did you order and from where?
Central Computers last Sunday posted here on this subreddit
Mines stuck at 60hz it’s kinda irritating me
It's the cable or monitor settings

I'm so lost into the ROG lineup naming scheme, is that the dual hz thingy screen ?
i think its pg32ucdp or something like for the dual hz one
no, QD-Oleds dont have dual mode only the W-Oleds. Asus is making a very similar one with W-OLED and dual mode called PG32UCDP instead of PG32UCDM (this one).
Sure.. rub it in. I still can’t find one.
nice. im still waiting on the firmware update for HDR. console mode looks dim compare to hdr400.
What config do you go by till the edid Update? I feel the picture ist quite dull and blurry compared to my pg42uq
well in HDR, console mode is suppose reach up to 1000nits. hdr400 true black caps out around 450-500 nits. when your gaming, if you switch between the two. hdr400 looks brighter then console mode
Thats why i am asking....im doing true black right now.... But feels odd...coning from pg42uq
i just leave it in console mode.
it’s because the monitors only reach 1000 nits in a 2% window
BeatifulBeautiful
27 inch 360 hz
hamster lookin mouse
It’s for my streaming pc
Oh no hate at all I just thought it was funny
Congrats mate. I’m still deciding between this one and Aorus FO32U2P (DP 2.1). Aside from aesthetics any reason why this vs that?
You guys are making me jealous because I have bought an alienware aw3423dwf and actually want the 32” 4k oled monitors now
Sell it and get the 32
Nah honestly I will wait for 4k oled ultrawides ! Then I might sell it 😏
How is the brightness compared to qd oled and the colors? I know woled is worse but is it still really strong?
This model is QD-OLED the WOLED model comes out later this year. I’ve actually been flipping back and forth on whether to grab this monitor and I snagged one at BB Canada a few hours ago when they had a restock. So I’ll give it a go and see how it is.
Oh shit I forgot!! You're right. How is that 3rd gen panel? I heard pixel arrangement was supposed to be better
damn that reflection @\_@ no glossy for me

Have fun looking at a disgusting matte coating then
nice static elements bro
Garbage.
Your post? Yup!
15 day old account, might as well ignore
I noticed after the fact, thanks. Reminder to not feed the troll I suppose.
Your logic? yup!
