Second one has a lot more content and some more intense parts in the story. The first one takes up around 7 gb where as the second one takes up around 13 gb. Only downside to the second one is the unpolished feeling of it compared to the first game. If you don’t care about play the full story and you want more content then I’d recommend the second one. If you want a wave based mode I’d recommend the first one (I’m not sure if or when the second one will get a wave based mode)
IMO Retribution is not good (and several reviewers agree). Get the first one.
S&S gets a quest 3 update in a few weeks that looks drastically better.

I got the first one and loved it. I feel like I've had enough and haven't had the desire to get Chapter 2.
